Hope there’s a flash sale this weekend. There is currently absolutely nothing I’d want in the current weekly sale and I’m patient enough to wait for more than a 10% discount since I have limited gaming money.

Hey, if it’s an issue with the way preorders work, couldn’t you just reduce preorder prices by 10% for a few days? Guess not. Don’t want people actually spending money on something they want. That 10% or $1.50 off Grim Fandango is just too crazy.
First a time restriction, okay, I can deal with it. But the no pre-orders thing from 3 day before the discount is really a bad joke, I’ve been waiting the whole month to pre-order Dying Light since I could have some discount on it, but since there’s no more pre-orders, and the game is release the 27th, and the discount ending the 26th. I’ve waiting for nothing, like a moron.

So the pre-orders were never meant to be included. So what? Why not make it work? More pre-orders = more sales. Same with PS Plus subs and all the rest. Why not put the whole store on 10% off for 3 days? Can you not imagine what riches it could bring you, and what happiness it could bring your customers?

Sony should close the PSN down for maintenance this weekend and avoid all of the hate that is about to happen when people that don’t follow the blog start trying to use their code.

I have to say that I’m quite disappointed by this. The 5-day +S+ extension is wonderful and appreciated. When I heard about the 10% code coming I was impressed with Sony for doing this and had no problem with the idea of it being a one-time use code–more than reasonable. But I never imagined that it would be limited to a weekend timeframe. Why is that? To having it limited to a single weekend is ridiculous! This is of no use to me whatsoever. There is no game I want to buy now and having 10% won’t make me want to buy something I don’t want. It should be a code that is good for several months that I could use when I am ready. At least until June. The first game I would want to use it for is not coming out until Feb! I’m sorry, Sony. I’m a PlayStation fan, but this is unacceptable. You’ve disappointed me.
WOW so I was going to purchase quite a lot this weekend, but that is BS that i cannot use it on preorders…COMPLETE FAIL. It was known for A WHILE that you would be able to use it on Pre-orders…

Any chance the reverse decision on pre-orders will be reversed again? If it may change again I’ll wait but if not I want to go ahead and pre-order something. I’d rather not pre-order and then have you guys say I could’ve used the discount.

Is $150 (PSN Wallet limit) the maximum amount of money you can spend on a single transaction? I can’t seem to add items to my cart exceeding that set value.

All this hate, I love it. Do you guys see Micro$oft doing a 10% off for also being offline on Christmas? Nope. Also there are plenty of games you can spend the 10% on instead of pre orders. Stop complaining and have fun. =D.
Look the 10% off is nice but there is nothing I care about that I can get. I want the Order 1886 and can’t do that, can’t do Bloodbourne, or even Grim Fandango. I was annoyed when you could not do multiple preorders at once but now I cannot even do one preorder. Plus the sales are meh this week. Not super impressed at all anymore/
Why would we think sony could make psn better when they cant post A SINGLE ****ING THING without having to amend it?
The only problem with this promotion is that all of the Sony websites and blogs twitter etc. talk ABOUT the code. What IS the code? I keep ‘clicking here’ to get to the code but I am in an endless loop of sites that just link to one another.

Well I was going to turn my PS4 on to buy RE:Revelations because of this sale. But since they decided to rule out pre-orders, you lost the sale(because there is no plus discount, and I dont see a reason to preorder at full price). Now I have no reason to even turn the system on till Order 1886 comes out and even then, if this code was useful for pre-orders; they would have generated more sales.
What is even the point? No sale? No pre-orders? The 10% off is basically useless. Really expect better from Sony, maybe I shouldn’t place so much trust anymore.

This coupon is all about making them money when there are no other good sales on or interesting games out. This is a worthless “gift”! On top of the time window, now the promotion doesn’t work on pre orders. Guys, this is a horrible redemption….. and is pretty un acceptable at this point. I mean, seriously, would it kill you for a normal %10 off voucher redeemable whenever?

Honestly guys, most people on PSN would use the 10% off on pre orders. I was going to preorder 3 games with this, final fantasty type 0, bloodbourne and the order, but not anymore. Good freaking job guys

This sounded great when it was announced but the pre-order exemption really stinks. I was planning on pre-ordering Grim Fandango and Bloodborne. Grim Fandango is especially a kick to the nuts since the code expires a mere 15 hours before the game goes live.
Most of the live content currently worth grabbing probably had a better discount during the holiday specials. This was a cool gesture to compensate for the prolonged holiday issues but it seems like it got kneecapped by the legal and financial teams on the way to the finish line.
WHAT?!?!! Pre-orders are NOW excluded?!?! I was going to use this on RE:Revelations 2 this weekend. This shady extremely limited 3 day window deal just got even worse. Unbelievable Sony.
They actually CROSSED OUT “pre-orders” on the official blog post about this. As if the 3 days wasn’t limiting enough, you’d think they’d honor their publicly printed mistake…..wow….my list just keeps growing this gen, I’m REALLY starting to dislike Sony…

OMG excluding pre-orders is such a moronic move. This discount could have generated more sales. I for one changed my mind about pre-ordering Dying Light and Order 1886. Instead I’ll wait for reviews since they are not gonna cost me $54 anymore.
Come on Sony… You were hacked…You didn’t provide reliable service for several days with a generic “service will be returned as soon as possible” throughout the downtime, did not live up to the aforementioned promise, promised discounts on preorders with your apologetic emails, and now remove the promise of preorder discounts. What is a psn+ subscriber to do? Make it right as a company and still make money rather than rescind your promises. I had several games to preorder based on your aplogetic email, and now I question the legitimacy of what you say as a company. Why would I want to spend more money, let alone, why should I not cancel my psn+ subscription based on your inability to follow through on your previous promises?
