I would have to agree. It’s the only thing that makes sense at the moment.
It’s ass backwards and completely stupid for Sony to assume that a game with little to no advertising would have a boost in sales by holding back the one thing , other then word of mouth , that could get people who are unsure to purchase this game. But that’s just me maybe passing off lots of people has the opposite effect. Lol
It’s pretty bad that we have to hear of server issues for Driveclub from other “non official sources” and come to our own conclusions that that’s probably the reason the Free PS+ edition is not available on the store as promised amongst other rumours… Whats even worse though is the silence when all your customers are asking and now demanding answers!!! Very poor handling of yet another issue on Sony’s part!
First your said Driveclub would be free for psplus members, then you said there would be a PSPlus version with 10 cars and 11 tracks or so, and now no sign of any of it, and no word, funny thing you only respond to the positive comments.
Where is the PLUS Edition of DriveClub its nowhere to be found. Doesn’t make sense to announce its free today when it isn’t. Disappointing

Were is Driveclub PS Plus Edition? Finally after nearly a year we are offered a AAA game for subscribing to Plus, but it’s mysteriously absent? Lol, this is sad in the most funny and ironic way. Some things never change, PSN is still a shame.

This is the problem with big companies like EA SONY and MS, they think they are untouchable until some angry guy with 21+million youtube subscribers gets on his 200$ cam wearing a 5$ T shirt and starts screaming murder, and that is exactly what will happen pretty soon with this game if Sony keeps ignoring the questions, I will personally review it and make sure no one else even wants to consider buying it. I’m giving it until Friday then I will take matters in to my own hands I will get an answer one way or the other, I’ve had enough waiting since the day I bought the console. And tbh idgaf about the game any more and that’s the truth, it’s more of a promise not kept sort of thing that’s making me angry. Just an update. Apparently the full $60 version Driveclub is now unavailable on the PS Store – “Not available for purchase.”
I am actually more pissed off that they refuse to respond to paying customers than them not having the stupid game up.

Just don’t understand why you (SONY) can’t keep it 100% with us the consumer. If the Playstation Plus edition is delayed, just come out and say it. Are people going to mad? Sure, rightfully so, but dead silence is just wrong and shameful. Running into an issue with the PS+ version? OK, fine, somethings couldn’t be helped. But to just sit on your tails with an F-it look on your face is just lame.

Dear Sony, we’ve all been waiting for the ps+ version of DriveClub and it’s not there. I think you should at least explain why it’s not instead of just avoiding. Most people would understand any problems you could have encountered and also most people would not be happy about your silence. We’re all ears!

some game servers are having downtime. they want to fix that first before releasing the PS+ edition otherwise the downloads and loads of people trying to play the online will just be a problem
There is no conspiracy or shady motive here. They want to fix the server issues first. That simple.
Yeah the sales are a freakin joke this week! And that bundle! Sony, you aren’t fooling anyone! Anyone with a 360 knows that stupid Titan Attacks game is only $1 on their indie marketplace. Mind you, it is at least one of the few decent ones, considering the vast majority of “indie games” on xbox aren’t even worth 1 penny. But I regress, my original point is that Sony charges $10 for the same game, doesn’t get enough sales on it so then bundles it with some other crappy games, one of which has already been free on PS+ previously. If you consider Titan Attacks is only worth $1, nobody in their right mind would pay $24 for Mousecraft and Stealth Inc.

I understand being upset the game isn’t on there. But its a free game people. I for one am waiting on it and yes it sucks its not up when I got home from work. Honestly I’m more than likely going to buy the game, I would just like to play the free version first to hold me off until I get paid. You people are acting like its the end of the world and you all got your periods at the same time. Quit whining about a game and just be glad its free. Probably 99% f you will completely change face once its finally out. Calm down, read a book, watch a movie, or play another game.

Yes the store is showing that the $59 version of drive club isn’t available cuz ” I already have a ps+ subscription”, but it’s still showing the $49 one available to buy but still no free demo . So have no idea what Sony is doing

#DRIVECLUB is available from today in America and the global servers are live for online play!
We are aware however that many players are receiving an error message indicating ‘there is a fault with your internet connection’ and we are investigating what appears to be a wider server issue behind this problem.
It’s not affecting everybody and the game will keep trying to connect to the server automatically, so you don’t need to do anything with the game (like re-install or restart over and over) to establish connectivity.
Please let us know your experience with the game so far if you’re already playing – and please tag friends if they’re having the same problem so that they know we are working on it.
We will update you as soon as we know more about this.”

Seriously, why so much crying? Why does your happiness hinge on the most insignificant things? A game got delayed, the server is slammed, the Plus games aren’t exactly what you had envisioned, a price isn’t exactly what you thought it should be, etc. Sheesh. Whatever. So sad.
I agree that comments should be made on the blog here by Sony not just in some random social media spot somewhere and especially about the free version’s availability. They can write new blog posts about Call of Duty cross buy but not even bother to respond to the number one issue of the day =) on the store.
Anyways I will wait to hear when the servers are working, I have Drive club since last night but never have been able to connect to its online servers so half of the features are disabled in regards to clubs and challenge creation and multiplayer etc.
So even if the free version goes live, there will be more pain/suffering/outrage until they fix the servers.
@379 It’s not a free game. You need to pay $50 for a PS+ subscription in order to get access to it.
@383, it honestly looks like they set this up horribly… The $59.99 should have been the PS Plus Edition, and the one listed at $49.99 should have been the full game, with a Discount if you have Plus.

That post was written hours ago. There’s this thing called a scheduler. You should look it up to see what it does, if the name “scheduler” doesn’t make it readily apparent.
Off topic, I got NBA 2K15 last night too, those servers have been ****** too, Haven’t been able to connect to them once.
I’m more disappointed about the lack of communication from Sony. Delays happen, I get it. People can deal with that. But when you leave people in the dark like this, speculation and anger grows and the whole situation just gets worse.
Just reply to ONE of these 400 comments. Just make ONE tweet. SOMETHING….

Wow Sony, this is really bad handling of a situation. If you’d offered an explanation upfront, some people would complain but at least we’d all know what was going on. You’re turning what could have been a mild upset into a riot. Is it that hard to say that the servers are having issues so you’re staggering the downloads, or whatever the issue is?

@ 366 and 375 they said the same thing about MS “It will never work” Microsoft doesn’t respond to rage… how long did it take after us youtubers got on livestreams until MS turned everything off? no more online always no more kinetic i am not trying to prove anything to anyone, I have been doing this for 20years I know what works and doesn’t but thank you for the replies and I guess I’ll just wait and see you tc now and hope it comes out soon.
