Pretty messed up 277+ comments, most of which are about ps plus edition of driveclub. Yet, not even one of those comments are from sony explaining whats going on. Was really excited to try this out and now im running out of time. Wish someone would really let us know whats going on.

Came looking for DriveClub PS+, where is Sony?
Everyone should know that Driveclubs servers have been down for the past 5 or so hours. They’re probably just trying to fix those issues for the people who actually paid for the full game before causing the servers to overload even more with everyone trying to get online with their plus edition.
Seems like an attempt to get Day 1 sales, people might not buy it if they get the demo…

If you’ve noticed, 300+ comments into the PS Store update blog post and NOT ONE comment from Sony (very not like them).
Sony’s not going to “update” us on the presetnly missing PS+ Driveclub because they don’t want to lie.
They’ll probably update the store later tonight (or tomorrow) with the PS+ Driveclub and apologize for “technical errors”, but the reality is they’re simply delaying the “free” version, most likely due to poor Driveclub reviews, as they want to increase ANY odds of quick impulse purchases from those who simply cannot wait and have to play it NOW.

The only low review score I have seen was game spots. Ign gave it a 7.9, meta critic gave it a 3.5/5 . Seems the reviews average 7/10, that’s not a low score to me?
So the “holding it back due to low reviews” angle doesn’t fly with me.
And holding it back due to server issues doesn’t fly either due to the fact that the full version is up along with the discounted ps+ full version. And there has been no mention anywhere of the free demo we are getting.
The PS+ version IS in the store. It’s not free though, its 49.99.

I know it’s fun to believe in the conspiracy theory about them delaying it because of the reviews (which haven’t even been all THAT bad, people).
I think the truer answer is more like what #305 says. I heard from someone else too that the servers were wrecked. Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if they released the PS Plus edition into the wild and no one could play because of the servers.
I’m thinking we’re experiencing the lesser of two bad situations.

Look at Metacritic’s page on it, Gamespot was one of many low points for it. It did have some good feedback, too, but that was mainly from low end sites and Gametrailers.
They promised us a PS+ Demo version of DriveClub just a few days ago, just check The Drop from earlier this week: https://blog.playstation.com/2014/10/05/the-drop-new-playstation-games-for-1072014/ notice the bottom of the post where it says Demos and Betas.
I think they will put it up separate later tonight and claim technical issues. The game has been cursed with delays, up to the very end.

Yeah, this is probably the nail for me personally Driveclub wise. No chance of buying the game without the trial, and the longer I have to wait for the trial the less chance I’ll even download it is.
@312 Stop beating around the bush and say it as it is. They holding it back so those who have no patience will just say f it and purchase that 49.99$ which is exactly why I will never pay for this game not even 4.99 until they release the PS+ version they promised me when I bought the PS4 specifically with that one game in mind.

@314, if that’s there reasoning for not putting the PS Plus Edition on the PS Store, that’s not good. You see, if that’s the case, when these servers are fixed, then they put it up, and then we all have to go to the PS Store and start a 15GB DL that will more than likely overload the PSN…

they didn’t promise the full game. that being said, they did promise a hell of a lot more than the demo that they delivered (or i guess as of right now, didn’t deliver).
Lol the sad thing is that it’s just going to be another over hyped next Gen flop just like everything else we’ve gotten lately. You know somethings wrong when the re released games do better than the new ones. To the people saying they’re going to Xbox One, go right ahead and get it. The stores will have plenty due to the fact no one buys it, Wii U has more sales than Xbox One -.- #nextgenfails
I’ve generally kept quiet with stuff regarding PS4, and in fact have defended Sony against some of the harsher comments that take place week after week, but what has gone on with DriveClub is utterly freaking pathetic. Hyping the game all the way up until one month to go before PS4 releases only to delay it for what turned out to be 11 months. Reviews come out and the game, it turns out, is at best slightly above average, it needs a day one patch for weather effects, and the Plus Edition is mysteriously still missing in action with not one word from anybody at Sony regarding the situation. Wonderful customer service. Reminds me a lot of MS in the 360 days when the 360 was outpacing the PS3 sales wise and the company didn’t have to provide any kind of customer satisfaction. The difference is, at least the 360 was getting some great exclusives, timed or otherwise, the PS4 in terms of exclusives has a been a joke thus far. With Xbox One coming down in price and actually having exclusives worth a damn (been playing Horizon 2 for the last week and absolutely love it) you’d think maybe Sony would want to change how it does some business? I guess not though. Very discouraging.
