It’s almost here! Our new PlayStation Plus service is launching soon, and we are pleased to share with you an early look at some of the games* that will be included during the launch time frame. As we announced in March, there will be three benefit plans to choose from– all with exciting games to play. 

Here’s a look at the games to come. Please note titles may vary by local market, and some titles may not be available to stream until after launch, but they will be available to download and play.

Classic Games Catalog 

PlayStation Plus Premium**/Deluxe Plan

PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe members will have a selection of popular classic games to play, with some titles that will show improved frame rates and higher-quality resolution compared to their original launch versions. For select original PlayStation and PSP classic games, members will also enjoy a new user interface with menus that allow you to save your game at any time, or even rewind the game if you want a do-over. 

Also, players who have previously purchased the digital version of select games from the original PlayStation and PSP generation will not have to make a separate purchase or sign up to PlayStation Plus to play these titles on PS4 or PS5. When these titles are released for PS4 and PS5, players can head to PlayStation Store and download a version for the consoles at no extra cost if they already own the digital version of the title. Some of the titles will also be available for individual purchase. 

Additionally, some remastered classics from previous console generations will be added to the PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe plan. Below is an early look at a selection of games that will be available.

Time-Limited Game Trials 

PlayStation Plus Premium**/Deluxe Plan

The time-limited game trial benefit will enable you to try select games before you buy. After downloading a trial of the full game, you can play it for two hours for most games – the playtime counter only counts while you are in the game. It’s a great way to try games before you decide to buy, and any trophies and game save data from the trial period will carry-forward if you purchase the game. New Games Added Regularly 

The games available in our PlayStation Plus games catalog will continue to refresh and evolve over time, so there is always something new to play. 

PlayStation Plus Essential 

  • A monthly refresh will occur on the first Tuesday of the month for the PlayStation Plus Essential plan (and both higher tiers), with new PS4 and PS5 games added to the service – same as what PlayStation Plus members get today. 

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium**/Deluxe 

  • An additional monthly refresh will occur in the middle of each month with new games across the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe plans. The number of games refreshed will vary per month.

Launch is just a week away, starting with Asia on May 24, followed by Japan on June 2, North and South America on June 13, and finally Europe, Australia, and New Zealand on June 23.     Please fix your PS4 games on PS5. It is great that you are offering all these games as part of the package, but 99% of PS4 game that haven’t gotten the PS5 upgrade run at a terribly unstable 10-30 fps. Literally unplayable.

    How disappointing. Please release PS VR2 as soon as possible, and improve your communications regarding PS VR2 release details and PS VR2 games in the absence of the new headset. It’s been a year and a half already since PS5’s launch, and we hear news from elsewhere that it’s due to release Q1 2023. This news should be coming from Sony Interactive Entertainment.

    This is really all I needed to see here. I’m sure we’ll never see delisted titles like Brave Story: New Traveler* (PSP) and SHIFT extended (PS minis), and certainly no PS Mobile games (there was a smartphone-compatible Tokyo Jungle, once upon), but this plainly sensible honoring of past purchases without threading us through the nose is exactly in that vein I and others were barking about back when Sony intended to shut down the old PS Stores. You all actually did a decent, here, and I’m excited to dig into my backlog in modern comfort.

      however if you have both then you will be put on to Premium to which ever is furthest.. however that is only valid the time of the original announcement

    This is a very nice and welcome surprise,not only we won’t need to double dip for games we already bought in the past but also PS1 and PSP titles are FINALLY coming to the PS4 Store something that should’ve been in there since the beginning but better later than never I guess ha a shame outta your back Sony,this is very very nice indeed.Just hope y’all grow that catalog quick instead of throwing to the side like you did with PS2 classics…and by grow I mean making every single PS1 and PSP title available on the PS3 Store available on the PS4 Store as well.

      Depends on your connection and theirs, they are running a 1ms connection, if you are running a 6ms then you will have a 7ms connection. Google Stadia is running 15ms.

    I know it’s just the beginning and I hope you add the games I want to point out these games you’re putting in for the ps3 category is pretty bad for starters why are you adding demon souls again when there’s a complete remaster in ps5, then these Rachel and clank games I’ve never heard many people or anyone at all say they wanna play those games again maybe 30-50 year old still wanna play that but where’s the skate games, black ops 1? How about 2 those are originally from ps3 why add the games nobody wants instead of the ones quite literally everyone wants

      The original Demon’s Souls is still very good, the bigger problem is that the servers are offline. As for Ratchet & Clank, they definitely should’ve prioritized the original four remasters over the Future subseries. DMC HD Collection is also a huge addition, if old saves can be used.

    I want to say that it is very underwhelming to say the least.
    Horizon forbidden west should be included if you want to milk us for 10-15 bucks per month. I was really hopeful for this service. But 2-3 hours is a demo. And should be free. The rest of the post is a freaking joke. Most of these are already available in current ps now service. Worst there are games not included (castlevania lord of shadows 1 and another castlevania title, the god of war serie I didn’t see any entry, the final fantasy series is absent). Almost no 2022 entry for this service deserves a nice message to tell you you’re doing it wrong. Be sure that I’ll never subscribe to this as it is.

    I can’t wait, if I am able to access all my purchased content on my PS3 storefront I will be more than happy. I am talking about my PS1 games like, Final Fantasy Tactics, Resident Evil Directors Cut, Vagrant Story, Breath of Fire 3&4, Silent Hill, Front Mission 3, and so much more. I am totally excited and signing up for the premium tier day one!

      The way they word it is if its in the service then you can download it. So we are still not able to access full data of playstation library we own
