  • How long is games going to be in the service the old service games left to soon

    • Honestly I don’t see the pattern changing from the now system of larger name games being there for 3 months before they go

  • I’m holding out for Knack 2. Sitting on the sidelines till then!!! :=}

  • I don’t think Sony is going to buy Square-Enix , I think they are going to work out an exclusivity deal.

  • Ok who’s actually going to pick streaming the PS3 version of DMC HD Collection when there’s literally a PS4 version you can just buy and get a better experience from lol

  • Hey @Playstation,

Please can you bring back some OG games like Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and/or Modern Warfare 2? Really none of these games peak my interest. At this point Xbox Game pass looks way superior.

  • PyrokineticChaos

Would you please add all of the Armored Core games? At least Armored Core 1-3. If not on the new subscription platform, then please add them to the PS store. It is the right move, especially if there are plans for another Armored Core down the road. You can’t find them anywhere except for hard copies and they’re rare.

  • PyrokineticChaos

Would you please add all of the Armored Core games? At least Armored Core 1-3. Any possibility they will be on the new subscription platform?–and if not please add them to the PS store. It is the right move, especially if there are plans for another Armored Core down the road. How else would you know if there is a market for them? They need to be more easily accessible. You can’t find them anywhere except for hard copies and they’re rare.

  • THE_ENDGAME_BOSS

-Lists a bunch of PS1-3 games that’s ALREADY been offered and available last generation and on PS3 PSN. You guys seriously couldn’t get any new games that you didn’t already offer?

-No mention of performance boosts for the classics. Probably won’t because reasons.

    -PS3 games streaming only

Glad I paid half price for this when I could…Sony aren’t even trying anymore.

    • I think their focus is on all the new games, but i love to see old games get some love too,
I feel you though… its like tis huge but nothing really happen

  • The way this is worded leaves me seeking some clarification. Sorry if I missed something.

If I purchased something like Tokyo Jungle for my PS3, can I download the game to my PS5 like the other PlayStation and PSP titles or is a subscription to the Premium service required?

  • So looks like PS3 game streaming won’t be an option in Australia at launch, but can’t I just please download them onto my working ps3 that I still own?! Would love it if they added that feature

  • I thought there were going to be PS2 games, not the upgraded PS4 games, but actual PS2 games

  • I’m here wondering if that digital license carries for ps3 games we own. Wondering since I own games like Tokyo jungle and infamous can I access them free from ps+ or would I still need premium to stream them on my console.

  • All games the have a ps5 versions should be supported on these tiers ! Its a shame to see some are only ps4 like spider man , makes no sense… :/

  • ¿Solo esos? Llevo años queriendo jugar Silent Hill Downpour y Shattered memories y no hay manera de encontralos,ni siquiera en Game.Tendré que comprárselos a un particular.

  • I’m hoping that there’ll be some games I already own available in the store for me. I bought a lot more games on PSV tho and a few were psp games. Really wish they add psv games that don’t require touch controls.

Also when can we expect a limited edition PS5 console?

    • Vita games have the same ps3 problem, if they ever did it it will be streamed and they wont do it.

its do to with the way ps3 and vita games are made

thats why ps1 ps2 ps4, psp games can be done but not ps3 or vita

  • unbiddenword1021

So very excited for this! I wasn’t old enough for the older games and I am so ready to dig into the good ones that wasn’t available for ps now!!

  • the worst games selection to the highest tier, what a lame, play station “classics”, but no metal gear, final fantasy, resident evil, you are kindding us?

and it’s disappointing to some “ps3” are just ps2 but in HD version, and that’s good, but man, i want to play ps2 game donwloaded at least, not via streaming, you had only one job, and made the least posible to offer something, by my side i’m not interested in this, add more games (GOOD ONES PLS) and when it’s aviable the option to buy it, but nah, this is pathetic

  • Interesting lists but Sony don’t provide streaming service to my country (India) so I can’t play any of PS3 games which I am very much interested to play.
For PS4/PS5 I have every first party Sony exclusive either physical or digital. Without PS3 it’s not worth for me. So no, won’t subscribe the delux ( which is the best tier available in my country)

  • Please add Breath of Fire III and IV PSP versions, wish Capcom would revisit the franchise

  • twentytwopilotss

    Crash

  • Man I just wanted skate 3

  • Really hoping i can get a 5 before my sub expires in november. Cant wait to jit up these games on a new system.

  • Really hoping i can get a 5 before my sub expires in november. Cant wait to hit up these games on a new system.

  • Playstation PLUS extra is a great service it is hands down better than gamepass you cant argue here Playstation first party games are night and day better than xbox first party games however i wont be subscribing for now because my backlog is too huge i own all these games on PS5 PS4 PS3 i’m sticking with the normal tier PS plus essential however the PS PLUS backwards compatability premium is much worse than gamepass. Sony needs to improve the PS plus premium catalog there is just not enough PS1 PS2 PS3 PSP games and Sony needs to allow PS3 games to be downloaded and played natively without streaming

  • Not enough JRPG’s in the list. I was excited for this server to be able to relive some of the golden age of JRPG’s. Titles like:

    Breath of Fire 3/4
    Dragon Quest VII
    Final Fantasy Tactics
    Legend of Dragoon
    Lunia Silver Star Story
    Parasite Eve
    Star Ocean
    Suikoden 1/2
    Tactics Ogre
    Vagrant Story
    Wild Arms
    Xenogears

  • The PS One and PSP news on titles folks own is a big deal. The wording makes it clear that only select titles will be made available, due to licensing, need to convert them to the new format, whatever. But the fact that I will not need to buy anything I already purchased to play on PS3 and Vita if it shows up on PS4 / PS5 is awesome (and making these titles available on current gen is so long overdue). I hope they add PS2 digital titles purchased for PS3 to the mix.

  • Playstation did a phenomenal job with the PS plus extra its a great service offering great games however i think the PS PLUS extra is not worth it its more expensive there is just not enough PS1 PS2 PS3 PSP games and streaming is not supported in all regions it would have been much better just to allow Playstation gamers to download and play their PS3 games natively on their console without streaming i know Sony Playstation can do this just like they can low the VRR Range on the PS5 from 48HZ to 120HZ to 40HZ-120HZ 20HZ-120HZ like Xbox series x and low frame compensation is not working LFC needs to be fixed

  • Please add trophy support for ps1 games as well as ps2 game with platinums thanks

  • topcheftoriko123

This is most disappointing list of games i have ever seen, this is our game pass? Not a single decent game. No silent hill, resident evil, twisted metal, spyro, crash, yu-gi-oh, street fighter, digimon, final fantasy, dragon quest no DBZ or even peraona??. Thats just a small handful. This list is a slap to the face to any old-school fan.

  • SOCOM 2 Online Multiplayer…

  • Very nice. PlayStation is going to the right direction. Good luck, guys.

  • Please bring persona 4 and more over with Atlus!

  • I bet you can’t guess which game series I hope is available to play and if it isn’t will bug the devs with constant posts, emaisl, texts and tagging across the vastness of social media in an array of videos until an army of us rise up and force you to add it to the list.

  • I have ps plus already paid for in advance for the next two years, how do I upgrade my current subscription to one of the tiers? Will it just be a small fee of the difference in price or am I stuck with just the lowest tier now for the next two years?

  • Please to consider all Vigilant 8 series in new ps plus services 🙏

  • This is a banger launch for a new service. Way more than expected

  • Hi .. I have a question .. will PS2 and PS1 games have trophies ?

  • I have a question, I bought 12 months of plus, they are going to renew it to extra or I am not going to keep what the plus gives you, I don’t know if you understand me

  • Ooof! I cancelled my PS+ subscription last year for lack of interest, and this in no way makes me rethink my decision. Even if this is just the start… color me unimpressed.

And for all of you defending this, I bet 95% of the games NOT shown are the same games that have already been offered through PS+ and PSnow. A new wrapper on the same crap. No thanks

The only decent thing to come out of this is them finally doing what should’ve been there from the start; (specific) past gen digital purchases carry over. But even with that, I find it to give this praise, when the competition is doing it then times better… and I don’t even like “them”. I miss when most games had demos, and they were free… like Online used to be.

    • agree this should have been done from day one…

I have gamepass and honestly only play yakuza 7 and halo infinite.

I download a lot of random games that I dont play

  • Please can we have Hogs of War – loved this game and have been patiently waiting for a remaster for ages! 🐷

  • Would love to see skate 3 in the classic section and would also love it if you don’t need to have a subscription to play classic games

  • Nice, hopefully that mean we get some new people to help out in Demon Souls :-)

For some jolly co-op in Demon Souls, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Nioh & Dolmen join us on Discord

    ****

  • I feel like i should ask: will ALL of the games from PS Now still be in the new tiers? Or will some be removed? Randomly exampling Bang Bang Racing, Vlad Vran, Once Upon a Light, Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, and Sam & Max?

  • Putting Game Trials behind a premium service leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I’d rather have one PS+ game per month that includes the Game Trial service in the “essential” tier.

I’m not sold in the “premium” tier just yet

    • You are only getting one ps4 game per month if the ps5 game is not ps4 /ps5 as they stated two ps plus games per month from now onwards

  • So much potential but an absolute fail. I audibly laughed out loud in my work place when I saw this list.

How can you simply copy and paste content from the previous iteration of the service and call it “New”. There was no effort put into this what so ever. Actually put some work in to bringing retro games to the service. It’s been years and I am still staring at the PS2 component of this service being like cool Rogue Galaxy and Dark Cloud I & II. Also what is with this PSP category? I think I saw one game? It sure wasn’t any of these: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Resistance: Retribution, The Third Birthday, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Persona 3 Portable (Persona 25th Anniversary Anyone?), Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, Ys I & II Chronicles & Star Ocean Second Evolution. You know games that demand to be played.

I am just tired of this, I’ve been building up a physical retro collection for PS1-PS3, PSP & PSVITA because I know PlayStation’s services will never be good enough and they’ll definitely fail to bring that one classic J-RPG that I’d love to play without having to setup all my modern retro equipment and just play on a modern console even with compromises in visuals/performance. I’d own both my physical retro games and pay for the service but when it is like this I fail to convince myself it is worth it.

  • Love that Sony is finally doing bc. What about the ps2 & ps3 games I already purchased? Streaming only works for me. I want to play the games I already purchased

  • The list was great

I hope they are in the final list of these games
