I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy And The Liar returns to PS VR

The latest intel on the VR Sequel you’ve been dying for.

Greetings, Agents! Adam Kuta, Community Marketing Specialist at Schell Games, reporting in with brand new intel direct from HQ. I’m honored to announce that I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and The Liar will release for PlayStation VR later this year.

It has been more than four years since the award-winning original I Expect You To Die launched on PlayStation VR, back in December 2016, and fans have been requesting more content and missions ever since. “We are thrilled to be coming back to PlayStation VR with the sequel,” Project Director Charlie Amis says. “It was really a no-brainer. Our PS VR Agents are an integral part of our community, and we can’t wait for players – both new and returning – to experience the new twists, turns, perils, and puzzles IEYTD2 has to offer.”

Following the events of I Expect You To Die, IEYTD2 sends you back into the immersive world of espionage and undercover danger. Leaving nothing to chance, the Agency has assigned you with the task of going deep undercover and putting a stop to the Zoraxis organization’s new scheme of world dominance. After all, you did stop Zor before and survived the Death Engine! Now, you’ll need to step up your super spy game! Take advantage of your telekinetic abilities in all-new environments and surroundings. Expose the diabolical plot and learn even more about Zoraxis. Risk your life for the greater good; because, remember: we expect you to die.

We have plenty more surprises and information in store for you as we get closer to our release. But, until then, there’s more to uncover and decipher in these images – and perhaps even within this very article – for now! Stay sharp, Agents. We’ll be reporting back very soon.

  • Good to know we’ll get a sequel to the amazing first game!

  • I feel strongly like this was a missed opportunity at a cliché name such as :
    I Expect You 2 Die!
Anyway! The first game is still one of the best games on PSVR- so anything new from these dev’s is cool by me!
I can’t wait to discover all the little nuisances that these folks put in their games!!!
They really understand VR mechanics and will surely bring some awesome experiences with this game!

  • The first game was excellent, these guys are among the best VR devs in the business.

  • I hope they do another amazing intro. That song number that made you feel like you spinning up your own Bond movie was an awesome way to set the tone.

  • First one is the only game to ever actually fool me in VR. Put an object down in the “desk” in front of me and let go – leaving the Move controller to crash to the floor.

  • “I Expect You to Die” is one of my favourite PSVR games, so I’m expecting the sequel to be great.

  • I had an amazing time with I Expect You To Die. It was one of the games I knew I had to experience with my PS VR and I’m glad I did. I’m anxiously looking forward to the sequel!!!

    • I remember I laughed out loud with the phone message from the pet groomer asking Dr. Zor not to bring a weaponized pet to their shop again. It would be awesome to have references to these kinds of events in this new game.

Also, will it have a platinum trophy?

  • Easy decision to buy this. First game was good fun and great value.

I just need to know when and how much
