This month we’ve got even more day and date releases into PlayStation Plus including The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth on PS4, Frozen Synapse Prime on PS3 and the Hungry Horde on PS Vita. The whole point of ps+, in the beginning, was to provide awesome games every month with discounts and features as a plus. Ofc was the meat on the bone. Sony now feels that they can now change that with pay to play online. Why not keep the them separately owith a 3 tiered system? (online, ps+, and online + ps+) because then they wouldn’t get as much money from their loyal customers. Might as well change their name to Playsoft or Microstation

you guys advertise PS+ as having exceptional value for money…..it’s deceptive marketing, really….it’s designed to toss shiny things in front of people, to distract them from the fact that they are, in fact, paying for online access on the PS4…..PS4 is the ONLY playstation platform that requires you to pay for access to the PSN. this doesn’t make sense, it’s NEVER made sense, and i don’t think any explanation you could come up with, would make sense. it’s totally bogus. i’m not seeing much value for my money. yes, i have online access….wonderful….the IGC is almost always crappy games anymore, the discounts don’t do me much good, because i don’t have money to spend right now(though, i will admit, the discounts are decent), and really, that’s all the “benefits” you offer, aside from the occasional worthless freebie you guys toss us, that ISN’T tied to our continued subscription…not a whole lot of value at all….

So I’m also having a problem with Frozen Synapse Prime. It freezes after I adjust the display on startup. Anyone know how to fix this? It’s not an acceptable problem to just leave like this.

so you list the retail prices of the titles being offered, and try to make it sound like we’re getting a great deal, and like they’re doing us a favor….
what do the prices matter, if we’re not interested in playing the games?
that’s like giving someone an ugly shirt, and then telling them how much it cost, in order to get them to think you’ve done them this huge favor, when, in fact, they’re never going to wear it, because it’s ugly as sin..
in the end, whether it’s expensive garbage, or cheap garbage they’re giving us for free, it’s still garbage…
Only the PS4 version of Binding of Isaac appeared on my download list and I have no option to “buy” the Vita version. Isn’t it cross-buy?

I’m sorry, but you’re mistaken if you think Plus started with awesome games, and everything else was a bonus. It took more than a year before a retail game showed up, so unless you consider Lead & Gold and Burn Zombie Burn as the peak of IGC, things have gotten remarkably better. Also, when it comes to the free games, people seem to have really short memories, and they expect $50 retail games EVERY MONTH or they complain. In the last last year PS3 alone has gotten the following games:
Metro Last Light
DmC: Devil May Cry
Crysis 3
Dead Space 3
Puppeteer
NBA2k14
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014
Dragon’s Crown
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Most of those games were in the last 6 months, and that’s one console out of 3. Even if you forget about the Playstation store discounts, cloud saves, and other perks, is your $4 a month really being ripped off if there is 1 month without a retail release (as if that even denotes quality)? Like I said, people really need some perspective here.

I’m annoyed with the lack of bigger retail games. I have nothing against indie games. They just aren’t usually for me. Sony should really do a better job at making sure there’s a more balanced line-up each month.
The PS3 in particular has a massive library of retail games, so I see no reason why we can’t get at least one each month.
I’m so disappointed Frozen Synapse isn’t cross buy. That was the only game I wanted this month, on Vita.
You’ve given Don’t Starve cross-buy when it came out of nowhere months later on Vita with an extra DLC pack, but you won’t give a game that came out first on Vita?
That’s 3 months in a row I’ve completely disappointed now…
It’s funny to read the same people on here constantly complain about not getting the games that they want, and threaten to cancel or not renew their PS+ subscription, and they are still here every month….still complaining.
It’s even more funny that people on here complain about wanting 3-4 year old AAA games instead of brand new indie games. Broaden your horizons people.

This month IMO is soooo much better than last month hell we get a brand new game Binding of Isaac Rebirth the day its released that I’m 100% okay with. And for those complaining next month is Injustice followed by Infamous First Light in Jan.
Nothing for me this month. None of these app/facebook style games appeal to me. I can understand the merit behind retro games and simpler offerings, but they are not the type of things I’d really want to play on my consoles/vita…and honestly it kind of makes them look like glorified cell phones. Not entitled, not gonna cancel my sub (paid up until 2018 fwiw). Just hoping for something a little more serious sometime before the end of the year. Still working on my ps+ backlog for the time being.
Plus has been pretty good for Vita lately..It always seems to get more than just 2 games. Excited about Escape Plan.

Still no one knows how to fix Frozen Synapse Prime problem? And yeah, the latter months are a little disapointing, I like Indies, but I think its a waste of a PS3 hardware, indie works well on a PC or a handheld. But… thats my opinion.

I do like the the November line up, but why did you guys wait until November 4th to make the line up announcement? It would be nice to to know days before the month starts. I do like the line up though.
What’s funny is I see about half complaints and half praise, as expected, but the complainers are acting like their numbers are greater than they really are. I have some questions about PS Plus, if anyone can answer here…
[1] How do the free games work? If I have a PS Plus membership, do I get to keep the free games for as long as I am paying for the PS Plus membership? Or only for the month of November / the month that the game is free?
I am definitely interested in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, and I guess now would be as good a time as any to start paying for a PS Plus membership, but…
[2] I see in the top / first ad, that it divides each two games into a system; the first two are PS4. Under which is listed The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. But I don’t own a PS4, and in the actual list, it says “( PS4 | PS VITA )” . . . can I still download and play the game for free via my PS VITA? Or does it only say that ’cause you can play remotely, and the actual download / game is PS4 ONLY?

the games are ok, ps4 selection either needs to drastically improve or they need to make the online multiplayer experience at least on par with what I was getting with xbox live on xbox back in 2003 playing mech assault, crimson skies, halo 2 and topspin as is it is horrible. it’s one thing that it is bare bones and kind of works when it’s gratis, it’s quite another to be playing games like fifa 15 on ps4 and have such an utterly crap experience.
where is the reputation system to deal with jerks, where is the ability to see the people I recently played with and decide to block some of them, where is the ability to easily mute people or report people for abusive behavior?
where is the reliable online connection the matchmaking etc being able to communicate in games in a modern way. as it’s stands it’s even worse than what the ps3 is, I don’t know how you can look your customers in the face and charge $50 for it with for the most part try for 20 minutes delete indie offerings. that’s right because your not looking your loyal customers in the face.
Fix your online multiplayer, it is literally much worse than xbox (1) not one, from 2003, I had much better gameplay experience with those games online, than any in the entirety of the ps3 era.
I owned the xbox 360 and had live, which was also miles better. being a casual online multiplayer person, and liking your variety of games is what got me to give the 360 to a friend and drop live.
Now I am very disappointed with how this is going, even owning all 3 sony platforms the value is questionable at best.
Overall it’s ok, but the ps4 online needs an overhaul as cool as features like share play might be I want the online to work properly and not be forced to play with tools and listen to them, it’s dumb.
fix it, as for the games just keep a variety and throw an occasional good retail game in there that didn’t do well commercially. Also there needs to be more quality discounts on games that people actually want, I’m sick of this stutter step discount then igc strategy. you have shot yourself in the foot with indies, there are too many, they are too expensive at launch the occasional one that does interest someone makes them feel stupid when you just give it away later.
if you sold nidhogg for $5-10 crossbuy, and didn’t have your practice of making your loyal customers feel cheated by giving it away, like you did to me with towerfall with the 11.99 plus discount. I would buy it, now I won’t buy any indie as a rule and I’m sick of seeing them. they are fine on the Vita the art styles and bite sized gameplay tends to suit the platform, but for ps4, that is not why I preordered and stood in line in the cold, and spent so much money on that. So please sort it out.
What I don’t like about this months is the PlayStation 4/Vita have no cross play games for PlayStation 3. The only downside of only owning a PlayStation 3. At least I don’t have a PlayStation 4 that has a ton of issues with it.
We need more cross play games for PlayStation 3. Also anyone know what happened to all the other free games PlayStation Plus members used to get? I remember you could get free PlayStation 1 games with PlayStation Plus Subscriptions. Did they do away with those for the game lineup thing?
I remember being always expectant about what would the PS+ line up offer next mont. I remember PS+ offering so many great games in the same month… But lately I just pray to get at least ONE NOT INDIE OR CELL PHONE GAME.
It all comes down to this, if I wanted to play retro games, I would hook up my old atari and play HERO or Enduro. If I wanted to play cel phone games, I would go to play store and play with a cel phone. But If I have a PS4,a PS3 and Vita I expect QUALITY games, not this retro crap.
Then yoy keep us in the dark for one week. We all knew this line up already, what the heck is going on? And Driveclub??
Is this a money problem? Because if it is andfor example you tell us that paying an extra 5 or 10 dollars why Could get retail games every month like before then LETS GO, DO IT, but you keep silent.
I cant express how stupid I felt when I actually thought that the delay was because you were going to change the line up for something better or to AT LEAST, working on an explanation and an apology. I rarely post anything here but boy it feels really good getting this out of my chest.

For the last time, PS+ games are not free, Netflix movies and shows are free too eh? since your spending a sub on it.
Spend the money on better games less often, better discounts on new stuff people actually want, like your platform commission Sony and fix your online, the PS4 needs to be on par with Live as well as the Share play etc.
I don’t care about 5 year old retail games and games I have neither interest in nor time to play when the platform could be a 4 year old android phone, it’s a waste of my time and sub.
Driveclub for instance which I had not interest in for online(alleged reason+ demo is held back) I now will not buy at any point out of principal. So congrats on that you lost a sale.
That leaves LBP3 developed by not media molecule, well played.
I don’t usually post on this blog (even in times when I believe the PS plus IGC has a weak selection), but two months in a row is just enough. Terrible selection of games, if it wasn’t for the discounts and the games I haven’t played from previous months, I would not had renewed my PS+ subscription last month. The IGC is getting worse every month.

Greatness still does await on the PS4. Sony has done a good job of fooling customers to buy a system that is not ready apart from Indies and the “best” versions of multi-platform games. Greatness has arrived on the competition though. They’re having a better line up of games than the SorryStation 4.
As somebody who bought a PS Vita a year and a half ago as a way to maximize the value of my PS plus subscription, I want to cry tears of joy because of all of the premium content that we got served this week. I love all the rogue-like/rogue-lite content! I own a PS4 and a PS3 too, but I do not expect any blockbuster games on my PS4 for free for years. Any haters need to back up and realize that 4-5 bucks a month is worth the online multiplayer for the PS4 ALONE. Everything else is gravy. I am still working through endings on Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward. Heck, I imported a 64 GB memory card, and still need to rotate content. There is no doubt that PS Plus is the best deal in gaming. The only thing I have ever regretted about my PS Plus subscription is that I didn’t download Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention while it was still available…. 5 Star update all the way!
SO let me get this straight…I keep giving my money for Playstation Plus….it crashes all the time….we receive next to no good games all indie crap and this month PS4 gets 3 games, PS Vita gets to play all but one game and PS3 only gets 2 games….Im getting closer and closer by the month like most people to canceling my subscription because im not getting my money’s worth out of it anymore…it used to be so good and now its gone downhill way fast
