  • Shame about Frozen Synapse Prime…I was really hoping this was cross buy on the Vita (nothing against paying for it. I just don’t typically play strategy games but was looking for a reason to check it out due to it’s art/presentation). Also, Sony, talk to your customers. There should be some kind of apology here on why this is so late instead of acting like this is business as usual.

  • What utter GARBAGE, just another reason NOT to renew any PS Plus memberships. This is TRASH and it is just a way to force you into paying revenue when you already pay an ISP fee every month to get online. Even Microsoft does NOT rob the customers and charge for online play anymore.

  • Indie studio garbage for 7 year old kids anyone ???

  • anyone else unable to find the Hungry Horde on the playstation vita store?

  • I think it’s safe to say this is the WORST month ever for PS+. I mean WTF is this??

  • Loving that we have Isaac coming. All I’m asking that it’s available to us…….Store isn’t updated yet

  • I have ps3 , ps4 and a Vita.
This is a great month for the Vita user’s

and people complaining about those game … seriously ? you pay 50 $ a years to get 6 game worth around 10-15$ each …
You complain about all those title.

If you,re not happy go pay a full freakin price on a AAA game and stop complaint.

Also the PS Store will update later today to answer some of your question !

P.S.: for those who say they will cancel their PS+ – go ahead . it will give us quiet time here for those who wants to enjoy those games.

  • Im also upset with October’s and November’s lineup. I would love to see classics like Dragon Quest 8 make it to the lineup instead of these low quality indie games. If i want to play a 16 bit side scroller, i’ll just blow the dust off my old Nintendo NES and never buy a PS plus membership again. Also adding the headache of servers constantly crashing and faulty communication ( like messaging ), im almost on the verge to check out what the other platforms can offer. Ty.

  • I swear they are just shuffling around the cross-buy titles, I swear escape plan, Steamworld dig and maybe even luthrausers have already been free before. The hungry horde looks like a failed 99 cent mobile title, the only redeeming quality of this month is Binding of Isaac, it feels like PS+ was a last ditch effort of the PS3 to be relevant and convert people from the 360 to the PS4 and now that they have us they are fine with resting on their laurels and know we are not going to cancel because we would not be able to play online. PS+ is officially a shadow of itself.

  • Where is Isaac??

  • Why so serious everyone?

    1. I have considered purchasing 3 of these games, but don’t own any of them yet. Imagine the savings! Yay indies!

    2. Is it really that serious to have the store update right this gd second? Go make a sandwich, or watch some netflix.

    3. Why does it matter if you know what games are going to be free a week ahead of time or not? Don’t you just wait until the store updates instead of buying games willy-nilly? Or are you unable to control yourself and deal with uncertainty in life?

  • So, when the store is going to update, only tomorrow?

  • I bought my PS3 last year on Black Friday and activated my PS+ on Dec 1. At that time, I got Dragon’s Dogma, Uncharted 3, Galaga DX, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Hotline Miami, Star Wars Pinball, XCOM, Binary Domain, Ibb and Obb, Poker Night 2, and Bit Trip Runner 2, and within the next month, got Borderlands 2, Grid 2, and Dyad. If someone gets a PS3 THIS Black Friday and activates PS+ on Dec 1, they’ll get 2 crappy indie games and within the next month, who knows. That right there should be enough to illustrate the problem.

  • Bring Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V tag force special to N.A.

  • I don’t care about retail or non. I don’t care about AAA or indie. What I care about is that I don’t particularly enjoy 2d and psuedo-retro games. They aren’t why I game, and the vast majority of the releases in the past few months – the past year for PS4 – have been exactly that.

  • Just a few hint here

    1. Download the Playstation Apps for iOs ( and maybe Androids )
2.: even if you dont have a PsVita and/or PS3 click on buy them ( when free from PS+ )
3: when you will buy new consol ( vita and/or PS4 ) you will have a great collection of games
    4. thanks me later

    Enjoy

  • Unfortunately, Im stuck subscribing for these junk games. Im speaking specifically about ps4. Last month we got super excited for DriveClub just to have it yanked. Thinking maybe PS+ is purposefully giving these junk games to frustrate us. SMH why is this OK from Playstations perspective. I could understand junk 8 bit games every 3 months. BUT EVERY SINGLE MONTH we are getting these junk ps1 level games. Why??????

  • Garbage, I won’t be subscribing after my year sub is up, this is bull.

  • I’m really excited for Luftrausers, Steamworld Dig and Binding Of Isaac. I don’t really know too much about them but have heard very good things.

December’s and January’s line-ups look fantastic too (Injustice, Secret Poncho’s, inFAMOUS First Light and The Swapper…) any work on a NA confirmation?

  • Ugh that issac game is so awful.. just tried it. Worse than spelunky by miles….. and spelunky was terrible

  • I’ve been a Plus Member since the first month. Loved it when it was mostly Minis and PSN games, love it now.

    With that said…

Sony has done SUCH a great job of communicating with us through this blog. But many of us are very upset about the Driveclub fiasco, the PS4 FW issue and the IGC issue this week. It undermines the good work you do, and it only makes it worse when you refuse to answer our questions. No one likes being stonewalled. And we really don’t like having to look at unofficial channels (Facebook, 3rd party sites) for info.

PLEASE do better. I generally love Sony products. But I’ve always felt marketing/PR/CRM are areas where you have some room to grow.

  • I’d add as a postscript – the EU blog is ALWAYS more transparent and better at communicating issues. Today, their PS+ post up has an explanation about Driveclub, an apology and a plan for the future, AND a preview of Dec and Jan PS+ IGC games.

I love the videos, Kristine. PLEASE follow the EU blog’s lead on communication. They have a more personal, fan-friendly tone there, and the US/NA blog desperately needs that.

  • @scularsage I definitely agree with you there. I love Sony’s products, but their customer service always sucks. They only seem to pay attention to people who suck up to them, but are too afraid to take any kind of criticism when they need improvement. (And there’s a difference between positive and negative criticism. Sony ignores both.)

  • *secularsage

Man, they really need an edit feature on this blog.

  • Glad I held off on purchasing a new Vita game. These will keep me entertained long enough for Assassins Creed to come out.

  • WOW! My Vita is going to catch on fire between Binding of Isaac, Luftrausers, and Steamworld Dig! Crazy offering this month, thanks for all the games! Frozen Synapse also looks sweet. Don’t mind the entitled gamers, keep up the great work Sony :D

  • When will we see the DLC’s for Driveclub? Also will there be any type of compensation for those who purchased this game? perhaps a free season pass or a disk buy back program if the game cannot be delivered as promised?

  • Oh how the times have changed for PS+. Bring back the old PS+ that used to give us great instant games and awesome discounts. Remember the good old days from last year when you would get 2 AAA game PS3 titles in a month? Not lame android games. Discounts? I remember when I bought 7 games for like $45 in a month and they were mostly AAA titles. Now we really don’t get good instant games or discounts…. The past half year has been horrible. Wasted my money with my year subscription. $4.16 per month and I keep on saying “Nothing for me this month”. I definitely won’t resubscribe. Sony slacking off with PS+ because they are have great PS4 sales and they also want to push Playstation Now…….. Why give PS+ subscribers good instant games and discounts because PS+ is needed for online play right?

Microsoft did the right thing by making a $350 xbox one bundle….. Is Sony gonna listen to the customers and do the right thing and make a $350 ps4 bundle?

  • $4.17 down the toilet this month. Oh well… FC4 in 2 weeks.

  • SteamWorld Dig is friggin awesome… Nothing for me this month, I have a backlog anyways, no worries hahaha :)

  • Some people go too far in judging the free games but Sony kinda brought it on themselves. Look at the very first set of IGC games and look at them now. There’s no doubt that the quality has dropped since PS+ is required now. I feel like this indie trend is a huge step backwards but you should still try them since we are stuck with them. And learn how to complain without sounding like entitled kids, this comment section is an embarrassment to all of us.

  • From the EU blog (for those who haven’t seen yet):

…”.In the meantime, we want to make sure you still have some amazing free games to play throughout the holidays. As you may already have read, in the month of November we’ll have The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Steamworld Dig on PS4, Frozen Synapse Prime and Luftrausers on PS3, and The Hungry Horde and Escape Plan on PS Vita.

Beyond that, in December we’re adding Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition and Secret Ponchos to PS4′s IGC line up. Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is the first AAA Blu-ray title to join the Instant Game Collection for PS4, and we think you’re going to love it. Then in January, we’re adding inFAMOUS First Light and The Swapper for PS4. We will still add DRIVECLUB to the PS Plus line up when it becomes available.

    So, to recap:

    December

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition
    Secret Ponchos
    More TBC

    January

    inFAMOUS: First Light
    The Swapper
    More TBC”

  • Thank you Sony!

  • People who want AAA games, stop being cheap asses and go buy them. Honestly, all the b***ching and whining, you would figure that they’re too broke to afford new games, or internet for that matter.

People who are always saying indies are garbage, are the worst. Go get an Xbone, no one needs your crying over here.

  • This is the worst PS+ month so far, really sad seeing how ps + has turned out to be… fortunately my ps+ sub will expire in the next few days, and im not really into online games so i wont keep giving sony money for these junk games.

Sony also said PS + money would help improve their online infrastructure, but PSN is worse than ever… and im talking about trying to send a message and it’ll never send, or if you wanna check out your messages they’ll never load, PSN is like always down and it kinda sucks, PS app on iOS is useless as you cant never send messages, and i wont even ask about FailClub ps + edition.

This is an insult to all ps + subscribers, I’ll pass on your awful service, PS + HAS BECOME A RIP-OFF!! I

  • in my opinion, these games suck. you made us wait for an official announcement, pulled the video from YouTube because of the negative attention it drew, and still stuck to your guns and gave us the **** games you advertised. you got balls Sony, but this month just makes me not want to re-up my subscription. the PS4 is just a glorified PC now

  • I honestly like this months Plus line-up. Not so much the PS3 games but Binding of Isaac, Steamworld Dig & Hungry Horde I look forward to trying. Granted I will probably play all 3 of the ones I’d enjoy mostly on the PS Vita rather than PS4, I still think I got my $$ worth out of plus this month & the month only just began.

  • Wtf? Are you kidding me? These selections look just awful, (ps3 anyway). I mean, i expect garbage for the ps4 considering its age and the relative lack of decent retail games available, but two indie titles for ps3 is unacceptable and frankly a little insulting. It really seems as if sony is purposely letting the quality of the igc tank because of the plus requirement for ps4. I hope this isn’t the case, but if these are the kind of games we can expect in future months then i for one will not renew my subscription and i suspect alot of other people won’t either.

  • Another crappy month. Nothing to download.

  • It’s a great month to be a Vita owner!!!

  • I have to say from going from free online gameplay with games, to having to get ps+ I’ve seen no value for it brought to the table; to start off gameplay online is the same as it has always been ((dependent on others to host the online sessions drop outs)) and I have damn good internet with an AMAZING ROUTER! I haven’t liked any of the free ps+ games other then outlast and sometimes rezogun and Blacklight retribution. So what am I paying this extra money for ?? there is NO internet improvement from any of the game developer community nor Sony it’s virtually the same. So what made this Gen so different? I can understand somethings but this just makes no sense.

  • Ps3 owner. These games suck. Doubt I will renew.

  • This is disappointing. I got all Three consoles but the last few months have been the worst experience with PS+.

  • excuse me mistake there is no value to ps+ unless you have PS4 PS3 and PS Vita

  • Don’t waste your money by buying a PS4 or PS Plus.

  • @16 + rotothirteen

i never did understand that…..online multiplayer is still free on PS3, but if you own a PS4, you NEED to pay for online….kinda screwed up, when you take into account that games like destiny require online capability in order to even be playable…

i’m not sure what the thought process is here….is it something along the lines of “if you’ve got enough money to own a PS4, you’ve got enough money to afford PS+”? I mean, if destiny wasn’t as good as it is, i imagine sales might have suffered, due to the fact that buying the game new would be a 110-dollar investment…60 for the game, 50 for plus, so you can actually use the game you just bought….honestly, this kind of double-standard for online capabilities(putting them behind a paywall for a portion of your userbase) is kinda sleazy….i understand sony is hurting for money, but this ain’t the way to recoup your losses….

  • Heads up. Out of the 5 potential Vita games being offered this month, only 2 are compatible with the PS TV. Steamworld, and Luftrausers. I have no clue why Binding of Isaac is mysteriously incompatible, but it is.

Kinda getting buyers remorse buying this thing…

  • Very disappointed to say the least. Sony dropped the ball BIG time; condsidering the 13+ million ps4 sales and 8 million ps+ subscribers. After a whole year of selling your “game changing”/ “greatness awaits” indiestation 4 & ps+ here’s some more “amazing” (cheap/indie) games because now that you have to pay to play online, we could skip out on customer satisfaction, communication, paid subscription services. I’d expect this from EA but from a brand that constantly brags about superior service and console, this is horrible. Well, greatness still waits. Just like the vita, Sony is slowly unsupporting their products

  • This is a good month, and the next few IGC games for PS4 sound amazing. People really need to get some perspective.

Keep in mind that if you’ve ever bought ANYTHING on the playstation store, you’ve likely received an additional discount because you were a plus member. Personally, the subscription has easily gotten me my money’s worth in discounts alone. That’s something I with Sony and the Playstation crew would highlight more, because everyone seems to forget that benefit.

Now, consider that Binding of Isaac is $15, Injustice is $20 (with sales bringing it down to $10 at best) and we’re getting both for NO ADDITIONAL COST. Does your $4 a month subscription fee really need to generate so much bellyaching?
