Hi everyone! Last month, we announced that Themes are coming to PS Vita and PS4. If you’re a PS Vita owner, the wait is almost over! Later tonight, PS Vita system software update v3.30 will be available to download, enabling you to personalize your PS Vita’s Start and Home screens, system application icons, and the system’s background music.
Starting tomorrow, non-game Themes including Crystal, Four Seasons, and Stitching will be available to purchase and download from PlayStation Store on PS Vita. Themes from fan-favorite PlayStation Vita games, like Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Tearaway, and Freedom Wars are all coming soon. You’ll be able to manage downloaded themes through the PS Vita system’s Settings app. Check out these bad boys in action:
Update v3.30 also allows you to see Trophy rarity when viewing Trophies on your PS Vita so you can know just how kickbutt your gaming skillz are!
If you’re a fan of setting up events with your friends via the Calendar app on PS Vita, you can now send event files from your Calendar to your friends using Messages or Email so they can easily add them to their own Calendar. This update will also allow you to add players not in your Friends list to your events.

I’d rather see an overhaul of the Vita UI It would be nice if it was similar to the PS4. Much like how the PSP and PS3 shared the same XMB interface.
As for themes, I would like to see some minimalistic themes. Something that’s less glossy and candy-looking.
BTW, generic, what DON’T you like about Tales of Hearts R?
add a ” the last of us: Remastered” theme for ps vita and a GTA 5 one also
I sure hope some Neptunia themes show up at some point. I’ve been rocking one on my PS3 for ages.

@152 – I’m not a big fan of Tales games in general, but Hearts R has some bigger issues. Japanese reception was mixed. While Tales of Innocence R was seen as a step up from its original DS release, Hearts R was seen as downgrade with its combat becoming completely forgettable. I’m not a fan of the way the game looks. It’s cheap. I’d have preferred sprites.
So when will they be available. You said tomorrow and it’s not here yet.
Also, you should allow multiple PSN account support. It woukd be much appreciated.

Is the Freedom Wars theme coming out? i seen it in action and would to have it especially this month when it comes out at the 28 of oct.

Paid themes? Are you serious? Congrats on your marketing team because you are in no position to expect users to pay for this when the sales of Vita are so low and the platform is left behind by Sony.
Did you take your inspiration from Apple trying to resell songs their users already bought so they can use them as ringtones?
ok do I just downloaded the new verison 3.30 for the ps vita and it is pretty cool and all but where do you get some more themes and when do you download them from? I am wondering about?

can’t seem to see where in the PS Store to purchase themes for my vita. under what section are they in?
since it says you can modify the system sound can you add your own music??

I have the update 3.30 and the only thing i notice is Trophy Rarity. There are no themes that come with this update. I guess tomorrow when the store update there will be a Themes tab, and I also am wondering how much they will cost? And i also wonder if we can preview the theme music before we buy the theme? I am glad they are giving us more ways to customize our Vitas. I was wicked excited for this, but ill have to wait til the store updates tommorrow.

So there is no theme available in the store. I mean, really? Why do you put the feature to headline when no one could use it…
…aand still no backwards compatibility updates with PSP/PS1 games. At this point, it’s so aggravating that I’m just going to stop buying new Vita games through the store until the classics that I should be able to play on Vita are added to the Vita store.
Thank you and the team for the great theme update for the ps vita. It is very appreciated. Just one quick question if i may, if somewhere near the future that we could change the color of the background at the lockscreen area. That blue is getting on my nerves when i set up my lockscreen wallpaper.

And please never get rid of the bubbles! I love ’em! The different ui would make me die inside. I love organizing every single detail myself, I have 10 different pages, with 10 different wallpapers, organized by format and also alphabetical. If it were like ps3/ps4 I wouldn’t be able to do that. I’d cry. lol

I downloaded and installed the update. First of all which I noticed is that there is no app such as “Live From PlayStation”.
I also realized that there is no option to customize/edit the system sounds. I also searched for themes like “Crystal” in the PS Store but was unable to find them. I also noticed some other minor changes like backgound changes, etc but could you please enlighten us on when and if these changes will take place?
C’mon guys, it says in the post: the system update goes live on Wednesday, but the themes hit the store on Thursday.
Asia and Japan have Crystal and Stitching for download (free). Where are the themes here?

I hope we can make theme 1st I’m not done for buying and wasting more money on themes I don’t like. All my themes are made by me on the PSP and PS3; their are super awesome. IF anyone wants my own themes PSN me to see what I got.

I did the update late last night but I don’t see any free themes? why am I doing wrong or forgetting to do?
When can i download these themes from the PSStore because ive looked through a couple of stories and people in the uk such as myself cant get these themes. Is there an issue or will we get them later on.
I couldn’t find any theme to use, except the original.
By the way, when are you guys going to add Avatars for sale on Vita? Everytime I want to change I need to ask my brother, who owns a PS3… even my PS4 can’t do that…

vita 3g can receive sms why not adding a sending option? its just a ui and at+command wtf … havent seen a swiss knife having only one tool…. high end device like this can actually make a call it has a modem inside… so many restrictions
