  • Horrible horrible month but at least the free game is not a mindless casual shooter.

So jealous of EU PS+. Why do they get better games and the US PS+ selection sucks? Is this payback?

  • FireDragonMonkey

Cool that we got another AAA PS+ title in the instant game collection. I’ve already got it, but I’m excited for Knytt and BlazBlue!

Also, would it be too much to have the titles of the games in the original post be hyperlinks to the PSN Online Store? That would be really great! (And would solve the issue of people asking for how big the file is)

  • Now this is more like it! Excellent month full of excellent content. I had given up hope that we would receive Sleeping Dogs several months back and purchased the game but at least I will now get the DLC for free. It is a fantastic game and a great game to add to the IGC so even though I would prefer to see games like this released in Plus for EU and NA at the same time in the future it is good that NA Plus is starting to listen to it’s customers. Knytt Underground has been on my radar since it’s release so wonderful acquisition there. Pumped to see an actual Vita game up there too. With the exception of a few standout titles I have no interest in playing PSP games on my Vita so hopefully that is a sign of things to come. Anyways, job well done on turning thing around after a few pretty miserable months of PS Plus in NA. Keep it up!

  • Great Job Morgan! I’m really glad that I joined PS plus again. So far I’ve been enjoying all the sales and content that you guys keep bringing to us. Keep Up the good work! :)

  • I am glad to see Sleeping Dogs on Plus. Great game, and I had been waiting to see it.

Sadly, I bought the game last week before I knew it would make an appearance, AND to find out the Plus version has included DLC.

    Oh well, lol.

  • ahora si por fin parece que el psnplus vale la pena , ojala nos sigan dando buenos games y que sean buenos como los que han dado antes en la store europea , :D esta vez si van bien , ojala y no lo arruinen. y den mejores games cada mes

  • The spammers can finally shut up about sleeping dogs, it was every single day thing. I didn’t really care much about it, just wanted quality games, and this will do.

  • Morgan please reply.

I’ve heard some rumors about digital files being compressed and looking slightly worse than the disc version, is this true. I feel like I’ve noticed some differences, or i might just be saying that cause I’ve heard of this. Is there any truth to this? I’d rather download huge files since i recently upgraded my HDD and there is a ton of extra space now.

  • @Morgan

I posted early about linking to the content, and you brought up a very obvious point that you can’t link to content that isn’t on the store yet, haha – well you definitely have a point there ;) I guess I was looking at the “Leaving PS Plus in May” section and wondering that to myself. Now that I think about it, that’s the only possible area to link, haha, sorry about the confusion, My name certainly fits the situation here, I was kinda blind there. lol =P

  • HAHA! this will be a great month!

  • P.S. more $2.50 games! pretty please!

  • JUST AS MY PLUS RUNS OUT, we get the game I’ve been waiting months for. Time to renew…

  • Hey, nice update.
I was just wondering if playstation plus will be adding any T rated full games for free in the next few months, because some kids can’t play the games like Sleeping Dogs, Demons Souls, and Spec Ops the Line.

    Thanks Morgan!

  • Oh also, is it just me or has Playstation Plus had a lot of free puzzle games lately.
Just was wondering what your opinion was Morgan.

    Thanks

  • Goodthing you guys are putting quality games, now its a matter of keeping up with quantity too, like in europe, for example giving in a month katherine and other good game like red dead redemtion.

  • Too bad I already played Sleeping Dogs and I’m not that excited for the other games. Can we please stop getting these 2d platformer puzzle games like knytt for the IGC? We’ve gotten a ton of them and they’re not really my thing. More shooter/action games would be appriciated. And if we had to have a fighting game for vita I would have preferred street fighter, marvel vs. capcom, or mortal kombat rather than blazblue.

  • Tired of having so many fighters for PS Vita. I own most of them at retail already, I think the only one I don’t own is Reality Fighters and that’s because the demo gameplay was meh. Though the PSP ones are nice to have digitally I’ve got enough fighters to play already.

So hopefully next month we don’t see ANOTHER fighting game. I know PS Vita has a lot of fighters, compared to other genres, but come on guys. Please, learn to space those things out better. Especially when NEW fighting games are releasing in the same month (and so far it’s been the same week) we get a fighting game.

I don’t want fighting games to stop forever mind you, just cool your jets. Sheesh. Space it out.

  • i love ps+.THANK U THANK U THANK U ….my ps3 and vita will b very happy!!!!!!!! i just purchased the MGS HD Bundle for 19bux on PSN….i was just bout 2 buy it n da store for 30 bux..glad i waited ….keep da good stuff comin sony

  • I wish 2013 playstation plus was more like 2012 playstation plus…

I know its hard to please everybody but the games we have gotten in 2013 have been very bland and seem like they could only please a very small minority of subscribers. This month we get a game that 13 whiny ps+blog posters have been crying for for 5 months and no one else cares about (sleeping dogs) ANOTHER portable fighting game (BlazBlue – don’t get me wrong I like the BlazeBlue games but i don’t play them on the go – I play fighting games on a console like a sane person) and a bunch of shovelware no one cares about (everything else)

In 2012 I liked at least something that we got every month. It is now May and I haven’t liked any of the content yet this year. Can we at least start getting some themes and avatars since ps+ gave up on giving us decent games?

  • Oh also the poll for April doesn’t have an option for “nothing for me this month” just thought you should know that a lot of peoples votes won’t be counted.

You need to get your terms correct.

    Spammer = unwanted advertising

And yes I could be considered a “troller” if you wish to go that route. :P

Great update Sony! Keep it up.

  • Love getting Sleeping Dogs… the rest of the stuff is a little meh, especially compared with what Europe got this month. Not complaining much, though. Some months will be stronger than others and, hey, it’s free games. One good game a month is still a pretty good deal.

  • Thanks for Sleeping Dogs. The extra DLC is just icing. Is the rest of the DLC going to be on sale too?

  • Sleeping Dogs alone, makes May awesome for PS+ members.

  • When’s the Vita gonna get Legend of Dragoon? The PSP has it, the PS3 has it, why not the Vita? A lot of people are begging for that one atm. Just sayin’. It might be something to look into.

  • Ever since I bought PS Plus about 2 months ago (for the first time) I’ve enjoyed the discounts and free games for my vita & ps3…. I WILL be renewing when June comes.

  • Finally the complaints will end! I wrote an essay and it was too long so I’m going to bullet point my points without the actual bullet points:

More discounts; especially DLC for games that go free (ie – I already have sleeping dogs, so getting the DLC would’ve been nice), they should all be discounted to promote broader purchase rates of those DLC items.

Discounted/free avatars themes–some of us still enjoy those!

Terraria, Rush N Attack Ex Patriot (games that I can’t convince myself to pay what’s being asked due to bugs/quality) — June freebies please? :D

Escape Plan Free, and Discounted DLC for the game please!

    Stacking DLC discounted/free please!

PS+ is a great service, thank you!

  • Nice to see a game like Sleeping Dogs on Plus. Although, the rest of the month looks incredibly underwhelming.

Also, the Papo & Yo discount is kind of silly. 25% off a game like that probably won’t entice a lot of buyers.

  • To add to my comment in 327 — thank you for including the DLC to sleeping dogs! You guys read my mind!

  • All I expect is at least one good game a month on the PS3 and PSVita and you’ve delivered again! Thank you Sony :)

  • Wow, great month.. I have to say, PS Plus is one of the best services I’ve seen in a long time..

  • man I bought sleeping dogs few months ago i will not have problem trying to download the dlcs ?

  • How about some racing game in JUNE… lets say GT5 or sports game like mlb the show 12 for change in plus on JUNE

  • SD is a great addition, but we want more ps3 games not psvita or psp. Also people are asking for rpgs and action games, why do we keep getting a fighting game every moth?

  • I have a question. I bought Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops with last weeks sale and i didn’t read that it was only on psp. I have a ps3 and vita. Is Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops coming to vita? if its coming my version that i bought on sale will work on vita? or is there a way to cancel/return Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops that i bought and get my money back?

  • AWWW MAN I just bought that one. Oh well still a good game, glad more people will get to enjoy it.

  • ch8882002usnavy

Looks like I am going to have to break down and buy another memory card for my Vita. @Morgan, you should pass along to the Sony team to lower the price of those things. I’m sure they would bring in more customers that way.

  • I love knytt underground, I am glad I payed for it and also glad more people will get to experience it! BTW, some other games from nifflas that could be considered prequels to this game are free on their website! Go play some knytt, knytt stories and within a deep forest, people!

  • Sleeping Dogs is the best game that has been added to the IGC for a very long time, in my opinion. Thank you for bringing it to NA Plus. Great games like this will keep me subscribing forever.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for Sleeping Dogs!!! I’ve been wanting to try it, and almost bought it when it was on sale a few weeks ago…glad I waited!

  • Still no Crash or Spyro on Vita, I see.

  • can i ask all the vita owners in here a question: Am i the only one that feels like im in vita fight club instead of ps plus. I also have a ps3 and Im cool with sleeping dogs and the whole ps3 side of plus but all these fighters for vita i really think it should be called fight club for vita. Am i alone in this thought??

  • You guys should try and get Nier on here. You need to try and convince SquareEnix to bring Drakengard 3 to the states. Need more well written video games in the states, regardless of how good they look.

  • Thank you. I’ve been soooo down on PS+ for quite a few months now as the content seemed totally useless to me. It was either really old games, or terrible games or and extremely shallow offering. To have Sleeping dogs pop up along with BB for Vita, gahh, thank you, thank you.

  • finally, i love it. i was waiting for something like this for months

  • I said no more fighting games!
LOL JK, thank you very much for this! Woohoo!
It’s a good thing we got a PSV fighting title and not a PSP one, and it’s BlazBlue as well! Sweet deal!
Man I need to have a new PS3 quick, the games are piling up.

  • Could we somehow get Catherine as an instant game collection? Please…

  • Wow nice updates but damn I have so many games sitting there and haven’t touched.. Wish I have time to play both vita and ps3 games.. Glad I upgraded to 500gb Hd to replace my old 60gb Fat ps3

  • Hello, Morgan…one question and sorry if you have addressed this before: I bought my renewal for PS plus last March, but on my dahys remaining it only shows what is left from the previous one. Will it renew when the final day expires or is there a problem going on? Thank you for you advise…

  • Finally a recent AAA title in the PSN+ US (Better late than never) … Keep up the good work.
