  • I hate how awesome PlayStation is sometimes. Two games (Spec Ops, Disgaea) that I’ve really been wanting to play! Thank you PlayStation!!!

  • im glad to finally get an rpg on my vita but i hate seeing psp stuff being up for free vita games i guess its a good filler but gravity rush and uncharted have been up there for awhile so lets trade those for some decent games but im loving the discounts if i thought SFxT or U MvC was worth 20 bucks and i had money to spend id get them but if you put some rpg games on the discount list like Persona 4 Golden or New Little King’s Story up there for $20 or less ill find the money to spend of them if we cant get them free at one point

  • “Disgaea” pushed me over the limit. I’m renewing my service when I get home. I love the new update, please for the love of god, do not go back to weekly updates. The weekly updates are great for the discounts (being there is so many sometimes), but tell us want you get for free at least. It dissapointing that we can’t get all the games at the beginning of the month, which we used too, but at least this is a start.

You guys (I mean all of you) do a great job. Sorry Morgan, you’re not getting all the credit. Although you do a great job. I know at times you have to answer a certain way, and I totally understand that. Being in PR is sometimes tough.

  • Awesome update! Can’t wait to play Spec Ops: The Line. Just got into 3rd-person shooters again. Playing Dead Space 3 and just bought Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Unit 13 during the sale. Great games! Keep it up PlayStation team!

  • Great update and I very much prefer learning about the months freebies right from the get go. Trying not to complain but for the sake of feedback I would have rather seen a Vita game in place of Tekken 6 or even a less expensive PSP game simply because there are much better versions of Tekken 6 out there, not to mention that Vita has a great lineup of fighting games available. Most fighting fans will already have better fighters to play so I feel like most of them will ignore Tekken 6 for PSP just like I will. Aside from that minor gripe it is nice to see a much better update than we’ve seen in recent months.

  • Now, I’m going to download Spec Ops, and give my cousin my disc copy. I love PS+. I’m glad Sony made a 500GB model for the instant game collection.

  • WOW! Disgaea 3 for Vita and The Cave for PSN, and a half way decent retail game I’ve never tried before. Rock on, Plus! At this rate I see no reason to invest in the competition’s upcoming consoles. I may have favored the other guys this gen, but next gen, PS4 only, baby!

  • Wow even though our update is a good one(for NA) I just looked at the EU update and once again it destroys ours. ME3 are you kidding me? No one can deny they get much better value than we do. What I don’t understand is why? The problem is that that question has never been addressed here just ignored time and time again, which tells me that Morgan and the other NA guys are fully aware of the lack of balance but can do nothing about it. No wonder so many people complain in this section every week.

  • Well, that does it! I just renewed my Plus Membership all the way through March 2015. Keep up the good work!

  • I just want to congratulate Morgan for the new format, I like knowing what games we’ll be getting through each month. I’m really happy with the Playstation Plus service, I just extended my subscription to 2015 because the +3 month deal just seemed to good to pass it out. My only suggestion would be that you guys made more PSOne/PS2/PSP sales for PS+ Subscribers, I got most of the Final Fantasy titles and would love to see more promotions like that. Congratulations on running such an amazing service, Cheers!!!

  • PS PLUS >>>> Xbox LIVE
NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING BEATS FREE GAMES!!!!!!!!!!

  • just joining ps plus. hurray for me :)

  • I am confused Morgan. You said ” Adding Plus DOES count towards the promo “Get $10 For Every $50 Spent” promo =) One 12 month Membership purchased anytime from last week, and through this month = $10 back in April. “, yet I signed up for a year of PS+ a week ago but never got my $10. How did this happen?

  • One of the best updates after a long time. I like the new format. Spec Ops indeed is a great game. Unfortunately I already finished the game :(. Still for people who haven’t had it its awesome.

Cave is something I had set my sites on. Still only 1 AAA title for the entire month which is a bit disappointing compared to EU.

Nevertheless a good update COMPARED to the previous months.

  • add me vita games. i LOVE my vita i just need more games (and a bigger memory card. oh and cant wait for the playstation event at weber state in UT on the 25th

  • Morgan Thank you so much for delivering this amazing package and lighting up my day! A certain family member of mine had destroyed my copy of Spec Ops. Has this ever happened to you?
Anyways, will all these Plus games be available on the PS4?

  • Wow, finally got a month outlook again? Awesome. And so many good games. I just checked and saw that Spec Ops has no online trophies, which means I’ll actually get to take advantage of a free PS+ FPS. Very appreciated.
Add to that the other great games coming to PS3 and Vita, and the huge sale on Vita games. And we’re not even going into the standard Store releases throughout the month. I’m probably going to top $150 easily this month. March just became awesome (for me). :D

  • @ kemospear: Hahahahaha. Um, you might want to read what you yourself quoted. “…$10 back in APRIL”. It’s not April yet. March *just* started. As they even said in this post, the $10 codes per $50 spent will be sent out on/around April 12th. You’ve still got over a month to wait.

  • Wow, three months in a row of plus updates that are excellent. This is starting to remind me of how plus used to be when I signed up for it day one over two and a half years ago.

I hope that the NA plus can keep this level of quality up, we are finally gaining ground towards equality with the European plus members.

  • Wow it’s like you guys are looking at my “games-to-buy” list and just picking them off one buy one….awesome update guys!

  • Great

  • This is awesome! Totally awesome!

  • Big LIKE :)

  • I bought a one year membership of PS+ for $49.99.Will i get $10 in end of the April ?

  • I’m so happy to be a Vita owner with Playstation Plus right now! Definitely going for the $50 deal. If we spend $100 do we get $20 back? I’m planning on buying more Plus anyway.

  • liking this new setup very much :)

    cant wait for The Cave!

  • Strange … Disgaea Saga still costs me money in order to download :(.
And the Save $10 every $50 purchase didn’t work to me?! I haven’t got my $10 refund yet :(.

  • @SeinaruHikari – This is just the announcement post of what we’re getting this month. The availability of actual free games will coincide with the weekly store updates, with today (Tues. Mar. 5th) bringing us free Spec Ops: The Line when the store gets updated later today. There is no formal announcement for which date will bring us the free Disgaea 3 on the Vita. We only that it will happen sometime this month. Keep checking back here for the weekly updates to figure out when that might be!

Also, if you read the $10 for $50 post, the $10 refunds wont come out until April when then deal is over, so you have about a month to wait. I believe someone mentioned April 12th in an earlier post, but don’t quote me (or him/her) on that.

  • @PrimeroIncognito

I noticed you are once again back with more asinine comments. The best part is that you actually claimed that some of the valid complaints from members are actually occurring because they are simpletons that cannot do math.

Here’s a little math for ya:

Value of January’s NA Free Rentals – $89.95
Value of February’s NA Free Rentals – $70.45
Value of March’s NA Free Rentals – $149.95

They’ve upped their game monetarily, which is why I and many others encouraged their work this week. A full comparison has already been prepared for the last two months, and the results aren’t pretty. This month is the first month where they are going in the right direction, at least monetary-value wise.

Unless of course, even my calculations are a result of the mirage caused by a monthly update.

  • Lemme guess… only for US Store.

In Singapore store, all we get is the same old boring uncharted game for plus, no good sales, only stupid PS1 games, oh wowee, now we have 3 different versions of old PS1 Disgaea 1,2 on sale… wont be buying those.

Thanks for making people outside the US feel like a valued customer sony.

  • Excellent update!

To take advantage of the return of U$ 10 this month, I would like to see these games at a discount to plus members:
    – Bioshock 1
    – Mass effect 1, 2 and 3
    – Borderlands 2
    – Ni No Kuni
    – Dark Souls
    – Rayman Origins

Is there a chance to see some of these games with good discounts this month?

  • holy crap nice update wow lots of vule for free dam this is the first time I seen this without a special event or holday involed and ive been a plus member since it begain

  • I’m a big fan of letting us know what will be the free games for the rest of the month. I’ve been “burned” in the past before, purchasing a $20+ game on PSN and having it be free in the next update. This has happened at least three times.

While some would say, “Why would they want you to know it’s coming out for free in a week, if you would consider buying it before then?” I’ll point out these games have been available for quite some time, and I never purchased them. Meaning…for me, the big reason why I purchased PSN+ originally is because of the occasional free games.

I feel a lot better about having + now. This months example is that I had been considering buying The Cave, now I know that at some time this month, it will be free. The effect here is that I’m much more likely to renew my PSN+ subscription in the future.

Having said all of that…it does look like this months releases are noteworthy, in recent months the EU store has been seriously getting so much better quality games than NA, enough to make us severely jealous.

  • smoothboarder540

Oh yeah, duh. I guess I was so focused on the games and the fact that we don’t know when the rest of them will come to plus that I completely missed the section just for March 5th.

Personally I’m glad we are getting Spec Ops: The Line over Mass Effect 3. I know that ME did better critically and is more popular but I don’t really like it. Spending so much time in converstation with people is just boring. I spend most of my day talking to people. I dont really need to do it in my video games. Also, Spec Ops is a more recent release. Which is certainly not something that usually happens in NA.

  • Sigh, wow. I just looked at the Europe updates this month. Mass Effect 3 free for PSN+? Seriously? Not only that, the EU site reveals what specific week the games are being posted.

That is just bogus. How can a person in NA not feel slighted?

  • Monthly outlook, yaaaayyy!!!
Now I don’t have too much worry to buy a game, at least it wont be free in a month.

Anyway, I’ve just want to buy Orgarithim, now that it’s only 10$, there is no hesitation left for me to take it.
Disgaea!!! Even I don’t really like SRPG much (FF Tactics even I can’t finish, too difficult for me…), I apreciate it much

And by the way, even though I’m disappointed when seeing Plant vs Zombie last week, it turns out my time playing PvZ is longer than my time playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 + which is far superior, weird

  • @634

Not like Mass Effect 3, Spec Ops is far better. Having RPG + FPS is so not working formula for me, too complicated. Please keep RPG element to RPG itself like Diablo and such

Anyway, EU got MGS HD for Vita? I’ve already played those titles and well I really appreciate Disagaea more than MGS HD

So yeah, it’s better here in US PS+

    And for when the updates?
    Spec Ops is week1
Cave/Joe Danger will be in week 2/3
Tekken 6 will be week 3
    Disagea will be week 4

    isn’t that obvious?

  • I’m sorry I don’t mean to sound mean but $49.99 is not $50 you need to go over the $50.00 if you wan’t to get your free $10 buy an avatar or theme or something that take you over $50.00 not $49.99

  • Amazing Update ………… !

And at least communication of the games in the month !!! this help to see the value of the games added.

Here are my feedbacks regarding the games now :

Spec Ops: The Line (PS3) Not my cup of tea shooter games…. but great addition
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention (PS Vita) I LOVE SRPG and disgaea is my favorite serie SO THKS
Joe Danger 2: The Movie (PS3) I love those kind of fun game : GREAT GREAt addition
Tekken 6 (PSP; Supported on PS Vita) NO PSP GAME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE…
The Cave (PS3) Poor Vikings game like….

So 1 INCREDIBLE game (Disgaea). 1 AMAZING game one(Joe) 1 Great game (Spec Ops) and 2 poor game.

DEFINITIVELLY GLAD to have renewed my subscription.

Thks Guys to have listened to us.

  • Oh wow! Just as I was about to buy both SpecOps AND the Cave a few days ago I had a hunch I should hang back a while to see the new update coming up. And imagine my joy when I found out which ones are coming to PSN+!

Thanks a LOT, this saved me quite some cash for the two most interesting games in the store for me as of now. <3

  • + morgan ,
i found at EU store they give Sleeping Dog Full Game ,
is there any chance to have it also in US store for PS+ ?

    please replay

  • Excelent. Because of this post, I think that a little “plus” sign is right next to my avatar. I’ve been wanting to get the PlayStation Plus service for a long time, but I couldn’t find a good time.

I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best updates. This format is better from the weekly updates. In this way, we can get a general view of the content of the month, which I find a correct desicion.

Excelent choice with Spec Ops: The Line. I wanted to play this game since I read many positive reviews, but another games keep me away from it. It can be said that is one of the reasons that I became a PSN+ member.

Since I don’t write in this blog very often (despite the fact that I’m a regular reader) I would like to thank you for the store online, is much easier and practical to add funds and buy from my computer than from my PS3.

One last thing: I would like to know when the winners sale ends, because I really want to get The Walking Dead game but now I don’t have any money left in my PSN wallet xD

Thank you again, keep up the good work.

  • I don’t like the monthly update. Now I have nothing to look forward to til next month, rather than next week.

  • SPEC OPS – the amazing shooter, that nobody wanted to pay for, but now, when its “free” everybody wants to play it :DDD

  • this is an awesome update :D
I really love the monthly update-style!

to help some of us have something to look forward to every week, how about this?
release a hint each week for NEXT month’s PS+ update?
so everyone would be discussing each week on what possibly comes up!

hope there would be an option to allow us to change our PSN ID

The PSN Store should really allow a wishlist and Amazon.com Quickpicks (give a small discount on what the user looks at in the store – will encourage more purchases)

  • @642 They’ll continue to do weekly ones as well. This is just an outlook for the entire month.

@637 Read the reply to #48.

  • @644 Change your PSN ID is being discussed in the Playstation Forums. Xbox Live alreadly allows you to change your name there, but it costs $10 and there are limitations.

  • Hi Morgan!
First of all, i want to say greeeeaaat update! its nice to see content displayed for the whole month, that way im sure we´ll get more value for our money, because we wont have to buy a game at full price just to see it given away for free the next tuesday.
Secondly, if i bought two 49.99 items at the store and ended up spending 99.98 or 99.99 on march, would i be getting 20 bucks back in april, or just 10???

    Thanks for the great work!

  • this is awesome man! i am so excited about this months games! i have been suffering with all the previous updates since most of the games i already owned!! grr its so frustrating that honestly it had me stop purchasing games for that exact reason!! now… im very happy because i do not own any of these games!! and i did buy a few psp fighting games to go along with all the vita fighting games that have been offered so far.. and it rounds a lot of it out..
i also have been meaning to play the cave and spec ops the line.. joe danger looks very fun and im so excited that i get disgaea!

im so happy to be a life long sony collector especially a playstation collector.. i have been a loyal consumer of sony since the 90s. and it PAYS to be a loyal sony consumer.. no matter what the troll swhine about sony has taken care of me and gone over and above any company i have ever seen…

this month im getting 150 dollars worth of free games and also a ton of discounts.. all those new psvita discounts are going to make me broke this month… all the new ones cept for maybe 4 games are ones i dont have yet.. and yes i am buying all of them…
