  • @543 Doesn’t a 64GB exist?

  • The PSVita is certainly a dream handheld for awesome fighting games.

  • @548: Not sure if serious. If you are then you are out of your mind.

  • WOW!! Great update, I’m super excited for the great deals of Plus members – thank you. Will Lego Lord of the Rings be on Vita, PS3, or both?

  • @548 That’s funny. A PS2 demo disc had a bug, which erased everything on the memory card. High price has nothing to do with hacking. Geez.

  • Amazing update. Looks like 2013 it’s gonna be a great year for Plus members…Almost buying a PS Vita just because the instant game collection getting bigger everyday. Thanks Sony and PSN team!!

  • theres only one thing too say to this . and thats THANK YOU SONY!!!!!!!!! you guys rock thanks for the amazing update =)

  • Look at my boy Morgan, he finally gets handed a indisputably great PSN update, and now you can’t get him out of the office, he’s still there, soaking up the OT and basking in the sun of our praises!

Seriously though, announcing the month ahead rather than the week is great for several reasons: even if the median decides a game or 2 is a dud, surely by announcing a month there is at least one thing that turns the tide of public opinion. Plus, lots of people say every week that “I’m not buying any more PSN games because they could “free” (stop saying free, we pay for Plus) next week”, announcing a month ahead largely ends this issue.

I’m sure you guys have thought of this before, but it seems like you could have success using this tactic: before a big awesome game releases, try to get that company to put up an older title of that series free to get us hyped and in the mood. EX- the new Tomb Raider, I’m already pumped, but imagine if you had given out a previous Tomb Raider title.

    • I dunno man, I’m usually in here in the evenings on update days. Not 100% of the time, but more often than not!

  • I feel so proud of being a Plus member right about now. Great update Morgan, respect +1.

  • First Vanquish. Now you’re going to add Tekken 6 later this month?

Great job guys. Guess I’ll be renewing in the near future (when my membership expires).

  • @556 Speaking of Tomb Raider, did you try the Tomb Raider trilogy?

@558 Don’t wait that long, you can add on to your current sub. If you’re lucky, might get 12+3 months offer before it expires.

  • @559 I don’t have the money on me right at this moment. But that’s okay. I still have a crapton of games on my HDD that I haven’t beaten yet. That alone is value in itself.

  • Specs ops and Cave. Thanks, SONY! i wanna to buy cave one month ago.
    It’s also a great March with PS+.

  • WOW! Now THAT’S what I’m talking about! I’m loving the monthly format too!

  • @560 I don’t have money either and I’m working on returning to Plus. I let a 3 month expire in Jan.

  • great update since the giveaway of infamous 2 and the other pack of games after e3 2012! for this update i got the ps plus year suscription, cool!

  • @563 about a early post you did at 553 the demo was of viewtiful joe and it happend to my backup memory card >..< owell great for other people to play

  • @565 myself ….howd you post mess up i meant that disgaea 3 is an awesome game for Vita owners to play

  • @548 Giggity_Gigati

The cards are to prevent hacking, yes, but rightly priced I disagree with. I’m doing alright, I bought a 32GB, I have the money, but it’s exhorbitant for pricing. Paying more is fine, it is more expensive to make a specialty card, and in fact a lot of it’s antipiracy is the absolute fact that it is prohibitively expensive to make knock-off brand memory cards, paying what they ask hurts.

And I say this as a person with money and the big card, the fact that other people who don’t have a Vita cite the memory as a large reason why, that hurts all of us. We are all better off if more Vita’s sell, it’s a net positive for us Vita guys, and even if you dislike the Vita, it would help Sony Playstation overall, surely anyone of this board wants Sony to do well financially, we want them to live and make more products.

  • @565 Yes. I remember playing one game, which required 8MB. Luckily I had bought a memory card 2 pack. before.
Later on, one of the memory cards I had was sold, the other was kept.

  • Great content! I’m looking forward to playing Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention for my Vita. PlayStation Plus has been an amazing service for me ! I’ve been enjoying playing Vanquish and Darksiders so far for my PS3. I’ve also been enjoying Gravity Rush and Uncharted on my Vita. I’m also looking forward to the Vita discounts! Hopefully Persona 4 gets discounted as well in the next batch of discounted games? :)

  • LOVE IT!

  • @541: The error doesn’t appear because I inputted the code wrong, the error appears whenever I try to “add funds ” after it asks me if I want to add the $50 funds into my wallet.

  • So Much Awesome. Best Month since the first batch of PS+ games.

  • Cool update this week. :)

  • @ response to 556 Morgan Haro

I hope you understand I was kidding, I’m very happy for you bro, you endure a lot of abuse here and handle it with a grace I could not provide. I’m glad the team landed such a solid month to kick off the new monthly format, nice to see this overwhelmingly positive response rate.

Put in for Folklore please, that game (like Spec Ops) did not get the sales it deserved, more people should play it.

    • Yep, I didn’t take ya too seriously! Also, I’d be hard pressed to call reviewing comments ‘enduring abuse’ (it’s actually always pretty fun, even when folks are being fairly critical), but I get what you’re saying =)

  • great update, i played the demo of spec ops and it was pretty good. Im running out of hard drive space with all these free plus games! LoL

  • Hi Morgan 2 things please and thank you

1st —-> for the 50 bucks back it’s pretty much everything I spent on PSN Store till April 1st meaning 40 here and 60 there makes that 100 bucks so I get back 20 bucks right? or is it 50 bucks solid per order and get 10 bucks back?

2nd why can’t we delete our own Trophies yet I know a lot of people have ton’s of 0% games and would like to get rid of them maybe in a future update.

thanks and keep up the good work :)

  • @576 I wondered why we couldn’t delete 0 trophy lists like we could do on Xbox Live.

  • @575 Note the games you download remain in your download list. I kinda hated having to download SSFIV since it was 18GB.

  • @577 I know right it’s like games we won’t be playing cause we got a lot of backlog games lol

  • Thank you for posting a monthly update, this is way better.

A very good month too, Spec Ops is the best game North American members ever gotten. My only complaint is that I’m sick of fighting games, I feel like I got so much of that genre from this subscription. But still, very good month. Thank you.

  • @Breakfast450

I support that idea. Tried the trial demo for Need for Speed Most Wanted & i don’t understand why they would include the trophy list .__.

  • @579 It sucks more when you have trophies in bubble form as you never got around to getting the full game to unlock them. I unlocked 4 trophies with Tomb Raider Underworld trial, the Tomb Raider Trilogy disc doesn’t unlock them. Gah.

  • @581 That’s the full game 60 minute trial. I went out on Black Friday and bought the disc instead of the download after trying the trial out.

  • smoothboarder540

So are we going to have to wait until the store updates to find out which game we will get tomorrow? I assume it’ll be Spec Ops but could we get a confirmation?

  • @584 Read up. For the week at hand, please welcome the critically acclaimed Spec Ops: The Line to the Instant Game Collection; meaning it’s free for PS Plus members to download starting with the March 5th PS Store update. We’ve also got week 2 of the PS Vita Anniversary Sale with a bevy of discounts on fantastic PS Vita games, with even deeper discounts if you’re a PS Plus member.

  • Great update!

  • @The_Dukenator You know you don’t have to download the full games for them to appear on your download list? Just start the download then cancel it and it’ll be in your download list.

It used to be that we could add “free” downloads to our basket and not bother downloading them right away. I liked that option better than the download now option which is all we have available at present.

And to any plusers who recently resubbed and see old expiration dates on your content – just redownload those titles from your download list or just start the download then cancel the download and the dates should update.

  • Will I still be able to get Sleeping Dogs (Europe) after this update hits the store?

  • @587 Yes. They changed that awhile back.

  • xSilent_Ninjax45

yes. spec ops the line. awesome job psn!

  • @588 Considering that this is the US blog, it’ll remain in your download list.

  • Rebel_Ghost_1861

Awesome! So glad that I signed up this past weekend! 3 months free,Vanquish and now Spec Ops:The Line! Thank you so much for making my leap from XBL Gold to Playstation+ a very easy and validated decision! :)

  • @592 I left Xbox Live over a year ago. I want to play the games I had downloaded between Oct 2012-Jan 2013, thus I’m working on that.

  • About damn time. Spec Ops sounds pretty good. I was excited to see Tekken on there, but then I saw it was for crappy vita. Can’t win ’em all I guess.

  • You know I would be happier about this update except I recently started keeping track of the EU plus releases. We get guardians of middle earth(14.99 normally) Closure, Vanquish, plants vs zombies(ps vita only), and maybe im missing something else, in February. EU gets 6th February: Sleeping Dogs
    6th February: Quantum Conundrum
    6th February: F1 Race Stars
    13th February: WipEout 2048
    20th February: Lumines Electronic Symphony

sleeping dogs vs vanquish…………. i would rather have sleeping dogs.

    March US:
Spec Ops: The Line (PS3), Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention (PS Vita), Joe Danger 2: The Movie (PS3), Tekken 6 (PSP; Supported on PS Vita), and The Cave (PS3)
March EU: 6th March: Mass Effect 3, 6th March: Dead or Alive 5, 6th March: Joe Danger 2, 13th March: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and 20th March: Puddle

3 games on day one vs our 1, and once again spec ops: the line vs. mass effect 3………… Mass effect 3 wins over half the time. So why do you keep feeding us crap vs the eu store getting the good stuff? I honestly wish i could change my account over to EU.

  • when are we getting full ps vita game trials for vita? i wanna try out a lot of gamesthat dont even have demos

  • Good stuff morgan!!

  • OMG!!! This is the best update ever!!! Too bad I already have Disgaea 3 though! But man! What a great update!!!
