  • Ok, my subscription is expiring this thursday and I’m getting nothing for my PS3.

I’m not going to renew my Plus since everything will not carry over to the PS4 (and I’m not buying a PS4 either cuz it doesn’t has any backward compatibility).

I’ll buy AC3 as my last game from the PS store (hope it’s gonna win the vote) and FFX HD will be my last game on PlayStation universe (I’m not going to other console, just quit playing games). thanks for everything but I can’t take these betrayal anymore. all of my game collections will be useless and I have to re-buy all the games on Gaikai? no, thanks.

    good luck doing your business.

If PS5 has backward compatibility I’ll comeback to the PS universe. I don’t hate you, just don’t like the way you doing to your customers right now.

  • @ reson8er

Account Management -> Transaction history -> List of services -> Playstation Plus

  • @Dregin, @KidCommando

I think a majority of displeased users have already done just that. If you go into past blog updates from the year before, none of the displeased users from then have a plus next to their accounts anymore and no longer post here. For the rest of us who still have subscriptions and don’t have an option to cancel, we will be back every week to state our views.

You’ll be seeing me here until September at least.

As for them not being advertised as similar:

    – They both have the same name for the service
    – Apart from the rentals, all other services are identical
    – They are both advertised the same way
    – They are both services offered by the same parent company

But I guess I can throw away those points since if Sony didn’t explicity tell me to compare, I should just be a good little customer and avoid doing it.

  • I don’t usually do this, but I’m going to throw my voice onto the pile of those disgruntled with the offerings on Plus. When the Instant Game Collection came around, I was under the impression that we’d see fantastic value through AAA titles but fewer actual games provided. I didn’t like Plus before that as it was very spotty and had a tendency to try and entice me to stay signed up simply because of the promise of ‘more to come’. I expected the ratio of quality vs. quantity to skew much more to the former. I have previously looked longingly at the Plus options provided in Europe, but felt that we’d see stuff of the same quality eventually.

Today I speak out. It is not acceptable to provide a 3 year old casual game for free while the exact same service across the pond has vastly superior offerings for March. Furthermore, why can’t the full month’s products be shown to us? I don’t feel like the service is for gamers much anymore. I feel like Plus is no longer of value to me.

If you read this, I thank you for your time Morgan.

  • For the cross buy titles sound shapes and I think battle royal will the ps3 version come with the purchase.

Now for my comment plus is great its actually my one year anniversary now and I’m renewing my subscription but and its a big BUTT their are some changes that could prevent lots of this negative feedback like

    – weekly and monthly updates
    – better sales planning so discounted games don’t end up free just months after purchase
    – integrating the EU and US plus altogether
    – better marketing to up membership I know ps3 owners who have no idea plus exists but buy it when they see it does

  • Could see PvZ as part of PS Plus from a mile away, but I’ll gladly check it out. Also rather pleased with the new sales, but I’d like to point out that I can easily find Unit 13 and Smart As for $10 as the regular price.

  • @Morgan Was the PS3 version of PvZ free for plus before?

@315 Its too early to find out the future

@316 We got Quantum Conundrum awhile back. Not sure if we got Wipeout 2048 for Plus.

  • @JoeGoodsnake2

    You are still doing it.

Those 4 little bullet points are still doing it.

You are STILL assuming them to be comparable and expecting them to be comparable each week.

    You missed one point though.

One is US Plus, one is EU Plus.

If you can assume they should be similar then can’t you assume because one is US and one is EU that they are different?

All those bullet points don’t matter because they are in FACT different subscriptions for different regions and SONY TOLD YOU THEY WERE DIFFERENT by separating them accordingly.

  • eww vita junk… plants vs zombies should be free for ps3 owners as well =p

  • Love the update!

I really love the PS Vita Anniversary sale. Even though the some of the games have been on sale before, I’ve never picked them up since my Vita game backlog is large enough already ( a lot of retail games).

Both of my Vitas will be happy with Sound Shapes, Super Star Dust Delta, Escape Plan & MotorStorm RC.

Happy Vita anniversary! Keep up the good work Sony!!!

  • @322 The US did get them. It’s just that Europe has receieved games we’ve never got. Like Red Dead Redemption and Arkham City.

  • Could you please let us know if buying the All Stars Battle Royale in the Vita sale also gives us the PS3 version? I would be glad to buy it if it does. I’ve been waiting to get it for <$20 and that Plus price would be perfect. But if I'm at home I'd prefer to play it on the tv. I highly doubt it will win the Awards category it was in.

  • For people complaining about the stuff not coming to the ps4, just keep your ps3 when you get your ps4.
Many people kept their ps2 when they bought a ps3, even I still have mine.
But it is pretty stupid of Sony not to let our downloads carry over to it, as far as re-buying my stuff, I refuse too, i’ll play mine on my ps3 and if i want to play my ps4, i’ll play my games on there for it.
Not everyone is stupid Sony, at this rate, even Apple will be better than you next generation.

  • @326 I was a Plus user for awhile. I’m waiting to see what they’ll have in the future.

  • @RyuZX

It is only a cross-buy title if you purchase the PS3 version you get the Vita version free. Not the other way around.

  • Ok, thanks, KidCommando for the response.

  • @The_Dukenator

No need to wait for Morgan, the PS3 version of PvZ was on PS+

  • @328 This may explains things: youtube.com/watch?v=80i_6UnnsRg

  • @KidCommando

Again, your argument boils down to “Sony didn’t explicity tell us we can compare, so we shouldn’t”. I gave you multiple reasons why the comparison is invited. Add to that the fact that PS Plus was essentially paired up between the two regions prior to the introduction of the IGC and you have even a stronger argument to compare since the split.

So, I now have 5 arguments to support my comparison. Are you still holding on to your one argument of “but sony didn’t tell us to!”?

Even further to that, even Morgan has stated that there is a discrepancy in a comment in a previous week’s update (meaning a member of SCEA has done the comparison themselves), and has gone even further as to compare PS Plus with XboxLive. If we can start comparing this service to a different company’s service that is not even remotely close to it, then why can’t we compare to EU?

  • Chill out you guys, the AAA titles Europe is gonna have on Plus are awesome so most people who did like them bought them at launch and now mostly just adepts or curious gamers are gonna give them a go on March besides, an HD Collection digital on your Vita? Why no thanks, I would need a bigger memory card to hold just that one game, PvZ is only 73 MB and its tons of fun, just be more thankful this service even exist.

  • I’ll pass on more Plants vs Zombies. I’m completely worn out on that game. I will, however, take the Retro/Grade discounts. I’ve heard nothing but great things about that one!

And I’ll also be looking forward to see if the NA PS+ offering can compete with what Europe is getting next month. Of course, that’s entirely up to the publisher.

  • @jambubby

I hear you. However understand that prior to the IGC of Vita, the PS3 content this week would be nil, or zero. They woul dahve given us a sale on some titles and possibly a theme or avatar, but no games. They prior only published content on 3 weeks and none on the 4th.

    @CZOOM01

Correction: US ends off with Plans VS Zombies Vita. Really OMG?????

This is February content, not march, still feel free to voice the quality of PVZ.

  • I like the Plus update, yet another game I don’t already own or have already borrowed from a friend.

It’s of no real consequence to me, because $10 doesn’t mean anything to my decent-sized bank account, but for those that are asking, I feel that they have a right to know what criteria was used to determine the “Loyal” PlayStation fans.

I know I am a loyal PlayStation customer regardless of whether Sony gives me $10 or not, but others seem to be much less secure in how Sony views them.

By the way, the PS4, Killzone, inFamous, Driveclub, and Watch Dogs are mine day 1!!! Can’t wait!

  • thats actually the first game i bought for vita >.< give escape plan for free instead xD lol

it would be funny if i get PS+ tomorrow and all you give for the next year is all the games i have xD awesome :P

  • Ugh. What a pitiful update. Even for Vita owners, this one is pretty lame — a game you can play for free on your phone or tablet, whoa! Also, to echo the EU commenters, the disparity between EU and NA is getting pretty tough to stomach. Sleeping Dogs, Mass Effect 3, DoA5 … we won’t see any of those games on NA until they’re bargain bin fodder.

And yeah, I hated Vanquish (just don’t like chaotic shooters), so this month has once again been utterly worthless for me. But by all means, keep carrying on about what great games we get and how awesome a product Plus NA is — the truth is plain to see.

  • Morgan i just got one question, why shouls we care anymore what content is being sold on the PSN if its not going to be supported on the PS4?I have spent alot of money on the PSN over the years and all for nothing 90% of mt games are digital and i will nt be able to transfer them to the PS4 and thats just wrong.Sony has always said that they care about there customers and this makes it obvious that its not true.I got a 10 dollar voucher from you guys and i hank you for that but i refuse to lose my digital content. Is this issue going to be resolved or is this the end of people trusting sony. Please do not turn into the microsoft blood sucking machine

  • Look, I am not going to argue with you about two subscriptions that are CLEARLY different. You obviously just don’t understand territories and regions. They are different because Sony separates them, end of story. Tons of companies do the same thing with different territories around the world.

Unless you are comparing every single thing you buy in the US to how the rest of the world purchases those items, Plus should be no different.

Looking forward to missing you in September and beyond. …crosses fingers.

  • sorry for the spelling

  • Ah, Mondays. How I look forward to the amusing in-fighting. When I read the EU blog on March’s Plus, I commented that their American counterpart would get verbally crucified. 8 pages now, and it’s not as vicious as I expected, ;-)

I agree that there is a baffling disparity but I’m keeping Plus as long as I have a PS3–and I have 4 as of last week. Cloud saves is the most important feature for me. Since we’re just getting the Skyrim DLC this story should make my point: dude on Beth blog said he lost his entire level 80 character because of some strange bug when you create a new character. I’m only level 52 and that took me 480 hours. If I lost that, well, there might be another shooting spree on the news. But I won’t, because the cloud protects all my game saves. The auto updates and trophy syncing are nice, too.

  • “PlayStation Plus: Plants vs. Zombies Free for Members, who own a vita”- Fixed

  • why does Europe get better free stuff ALLLLLL THE TIMEEEEE?!?! what do we need to do here in the US to get more AAA titles?

  • Can someone please explain why there is a vast difference in games between the IGC in Europe and North America? Is there some sort of extra hoop that you must go through? Maybe if people understood why we get game x and Europe gets game y there would be less complaints.

  • Those Hot Shots Golf prices are rediculious.

MSRP for that game at retail is $19.99 now. The “Sale price” is over that and the Plus price is barely below that.

Advertising fake real prices to make a discount seem bigger then it really is not cool Sony.

  • @348 Its mostly licensing. You can’t expect to get it everywhere.

  • @The_Dukenator

Wipeout 2048 Vita was part of the original PS+ Instant Game collection announced at launch.

  • Well, it seems like nothing for me this week… Maybe some of the awards winner!

  • Hell you can buy a download code from EBgames.com for $18.

  • So many idiotic spoiled kids like ZenTripleFour. I hope he gets banned for spamming that incorrect list every few minutes. For the record, these are the 5 free games for NA in February:

    Guardians of Middle Earth
    Closure
    Vanquish
Mega Man Maverick Hunter X (PSP / Vita)
    Plants vs Zombies Vita

  • @350 I understand that. I want to know why these issues don’t seem to be problems in Europe. Can the process really be that much different?

  • All gripes aside, while I am not a PS Plus member (I always buy the games I want to play at launch) PS Plus is a great service compared to what Microsoft or Nintendo offer. My only complaints are those pertaining to what’s not available on the PSN Store to what actually is. There are a lot of great titles to choose from, but at the same time there are even more great titles (ps1/ps2/ps3/psp) that are not available and should be available to consumers.

What I don’t understand is why the publishers and Sony don’t make all games made for all their consoles available to their consumers. In my opinion it would be a win win for all parties involved.

Now I myself have come here and said some harsh words towards Morgan in the past, and I apologize. I feel for you; to have to go through all the negative comments. I’m sure your a good guy and you love to play games just like us, and you are trying to do the best job that you can. But in the end you can’t please everyone.

  • (cont’d)

Now we may not understand the missions you guys go through to make these games available to us and we should be thank-full that we get anything at all. I believe you guys deserve more respect. Cheers Morgan, if you’re ever North of the border, I for one would like to buy you a beer.

  • Bah

PS Plus is sorta like getting socks for Christmas and your Birthday.

I passed up on the 1 year + 3 months deal because I’m too unimpressed to be obligated for that long. I had less to complain about when we at least got a monthly publication with insiders, demos and such… Was like a magazine subscription online. At least put stuff up for sale that you haven’t already given out.

I bet plus for PS3 players will get even worse when the PS4 comes out…

  • “While we don’t disclose the exact criteria used, we can say that select active PSN users were chosen to receive an XMB message that included a credit for their SEN Wallet as part of this special promotion.
Rest assured though, we’ve ensured that the feedback from the larger community was heard on this promo. Thanks!”

Check this thread out. While the people who got it are happy, It’s pissing other people off.

    http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=514345

  • I have a question, only the psvita version of PS All-Stars Battle Royale will be free, or it being a cross buy game both versions will be free?

  • Thanks Morgan, people should realize that you’re the one trying to get us more content for free or discounts. Don’t think we’re all so ignorant. Keep up the good fight.

  • Where is the Nothing for me this year option?

Bioshock was the last good thing for me to come out of plus and that was last year. Everything else is not of my interest, or I already own it, so plus has been a waste. I was going to renew to get those 3 months extra, but with all these bad updates, that would be a bad decision.

Also, it seems that plus will be irrelevant when the ps4 comes out, so why renew.

  • Gotta love how the whiners are ignoring all of the positive comments expressing satisfaction with this update. You act as if those posts aren’t even here… amazingly, those exact posts are the proof of what I’m trying to get through your head…

  • @354 Maverick Hunter X doesn’t count because it’s a PSP game. Europe gets PS3 and Vita games.

  • sorry I meant, will both versions of PSABR will be discounted?
