Live today: Watch PlayStation Showcase 2021 at 1pm Pacific

Tune in to see what’s next for PlayStation 5.

You’ve been awfully patient, and we thank you for that. And now we’re looking forward to showing you what we’ve been working on.

Tune in next Thursday, September 9 at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 9:00pm BST / 10:00pm CEST for a look into the future of PS5. The Showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes and include updates from PlayStation Studios and some of the industry’s most imaginative developers, for games releasing this holiday and beyond. And stick around after the presentation to get more updates from some of the studio teams featured in the Showcase.

One thing to note: PlayStation’s next generation of VR won’t make an appearance this time. But there will still be plenty of great PS5 games from developers large and small. We hope you can join us!

    Im excited at all the new development but I am disappointed how scalpers are still grabbing the available PS5’s and selling them for outrageous profit! Despite the inability to purchase a PS5 now, I can at least enjoy the incredible evolution of the current and new games! Looking forward to what’s coming up next.

      All Sony would need to do is look at the PSN accounts of their PS4 player base and offer some PS5s directly to their most loyal customers. it definitely feels like people like me have been left behind, so that kills a lot of the hype for the shows and gaming in general.

    I’m not buying another PS4 game, so I won’t be a PlayStation customer until I can get hold of a PS5.
    Come and get my money Sony, I’m looking forward to being a customer again, but for now, I’ll be watching this showcase with no firm plan to actually buy the games.

    Forever, I have been using PSN, being with PlayStation to get a game at good price – provincial tax. Now this crap has changed. It makes Microsoft X-Box and Nintendo Switch look and feel even better than Platsration. Nintendo having mobile great High-Definition with even adoring playing games outside of home. Microsoft with higher social environment and Achievements. PlayStation had all groups defeated by having price of same game a lot cheaper via Downloading. Even now your account Network Account will be charged more VIA TAX….
    Have this THING done for some reason, as in COVID PANADEMIC, have a reason for being done, Noting and having timeframe off this and when to get back to Winners of enjoyment and $$$ from us.

    1. When will Sony officially launch the ps5 ssd expansion slot (outside of the beta)?
    2. When will Sony officially support 1440p resolution on the ps5?
