Live today: Watch PlayStation Showcase 2021 at 1pm Pacific

Tune in to see what’s next for PlayStation 5.

You’ve been awfully patient, and we thank you for that. And now we’re looking forward to showing you what we’ve been working on.

Tune in next Thursday, September 9 at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 9:00pm BST / 10:00pm CEST for a look into the future of PS5. The Showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes and include updates from PlayStation Studios and some of the industry’s most imaginative developers, for games releasing this holiday and beyond. And stick around after the presentation to get more updates from some of the studio teams featured in the Showcase.

One thing to note: PlayStation’s next generation of VR won’t make an appearance this time. But there will still be plenty of great PS5 games from developers large and small. We hope you can join us!

You can watch live on YouTube and Twitch. See you next Thursday!

  • Where are all the PS5 exclusives? — they seem to be mostly remastered versions… all that hype about a possible new uncharted game and all it is is a remastered version – but didn’t we just get an update for improved graphics on the ps5 from the ps4 game.
Most of these games seem weak…half of these i would not have included if you were trying to show off the PS5… this showcase makes me want to sell the ps5

Where was more on Horizon, news on Prince of Persia, an update on Hogwarts legacy?

Whoever was in charge of doing this showcase should be shown the door.
It would appear many devs have become lazy cos these all seem intended for ps4 but with a few added tweaks to give it a ps5 label

  • totally agree… uncharted was exclusively sony for the playstation… i bet it was pressure from naughty dogs so they could branch out more

  • The only new game announcements (or new trailers of previously known upcoming games) that interested me were Project Eva (a Korean action hack&slash game that isn’t a free-to-play MMORPG? Sign me up right now), Tchia, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Marvel’s Wolverine (not a Wolverine fan but its nice to see Insomniac Games expanding in the Marvel universe) and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (Venom!).

  • Hey Sid, How about Sony does something about the PS5 scalpers so people who want to buy a PS5 can actually buy one… Thanks!

  • Lots of great games shown! I’m not surprised that the bigger AAA games were saved for the last few moments.
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (Remake)
    Project Eve
    Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
    Forspoken
    Rainbow Six Extraction
    Alan Wake Remastered
    Grand Theft Auto V
    Ghost Wire: Tokyo
    Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
    Vampire The Masquerade Blood Hunt
    Deathloop
    Kids A Mensia
    Tchia
    Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
    Marvel’s Wolverine
    Gran Turismo 7
    Marvel’s Spiderman 2
    God of War Ragnarök

I really hope Naughty Dog does a remaster collection on PS5 (physical) for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection but this time also include Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
It’s weird how we’re getting the last 2 games in the series remastered with Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5.

For God of War series, I hope we get collection/collections for PS5 that includes remastered versions of:
    – God of War
    – God of War II
    – God of War III
    – God of War Ascension
    – God of War Chains of Olympus
    – God of War Ghost of Sparta
    – God of War (2018)
It’s especially weird that the legacy games weren’t remastered on the PS4.

Horizon Zero Dawn should definitely get a native PS5 remaster release; especially after the disappointing news of Horizon Forbidden West getting delayed.

I also hope we get Marvel’s Spiderman Remastered as a native PS5 physical. I hate how it’s still locked behind the ‘Ultimate Edition’ of Marvel’s Spiderman Miles Morales.

  • Last minutes were better. Gran Turismo 7 woke me up proper. Undoubtedly the highlight of the show for me, that baby is pushing photorealism. Love how it’s still in the same style as since GT5, with the mature and sober menus and everything… Wolverine by Insomniac was a nice surprise too, he would also be my choice for a game next to Spiderman (obviously excited for more of that) and while I think the newer God of War is great I still prefer the old ones that feel more original and different with the fixed backgrounds etc.
I really think Sony should expand more into different genres again. I miss Killzone for my FPS fix next to Battlefield, and would’ve preferred a new one over a second Horizon already, miss Evolution Studios bringing some brilliant racing series next to Gran Turismo; miss something like Smash Bros and PS All Stars, cartoony games,… More variety over sequels (I get those are financially less risky and you want to forge the iron while it’s hot, but are people seriously not fatigued playing the same game over generations? At least give the sequels a couple of years in between and do some other games in the meanwhile… Like as much as I love Ghost of Tsushima, I hope to see Infamous or something else next instead of more of what I expect and played last year).

  • A remake of KOTOR just might be the thing that pushes me over the edge to grab a PS5. Time will tell.
