PS Plus: Free Games for July 2017

Winter is coming, and your choices mean the difference between life and death in Until Dawn and Game of Thrones.

Greetings, PlayStation Nation — and happy start to your summer! We have a bunch of great gaming stuff to talk about, so let’s get started.

First off, the free PlayStation Plus games for July are Until Dawn and Game of Thrones.

Until Dawn is a PlayStation exclusive survival horror adventure where eight friends are trapped together on a remote mountain retreat, and they aren’t alone. You can play as each of the eight characters and experience fear like never before, where every decision you make could mean the difference between life and death!

Next up, we have Telltale’s Game of Thrones series. You’ll get all six episodes, which follows the family of House Forrester as they survive (Or don’t?) the War of the Five Kings. Winter is Coming, and this is a great way to beat the summer heat.

Additionally, from July 4 through October 24 all PlayStation Plus members can get That’s You in celebration of PlayLink’s launch . That’s You sets you off on a journey of discovery with up to five of your friends and family, where you can find out what you really think about each other.

Joining the fun is easy: all you need is your smartphone or tablet and the free companion app. Snap a selfie and enjoy tons of funny questions, texting games, and drawing challenges.

Finally, Orcs Must Die Unchained is launching on July 18. As a PlayStation Plus member, not only will you get access to the game, but you’ll get an exclusive Orcs Must Die Unchained Plus Pack as part of your membership. The $20 pack is only available until August 15, so get it while you can.

    Fantastic lineup! I mean, for me it doesn’t offer much, because like last month I bought all the games when they first came out…however that’s also how i know they are wonderful games! Would I like games that I could actually play? Sure, but I would prefer high quality games for the memberbase that I can’t play over the usual retro indie titles that i had never played(And never would play) that you used to be giving.

    Great job stepping up the freebies! yer making PS+ actually worth having now!

    Not to bad for July. Until Dawn is great even though I already own it but I’ll be sure to check out Tokyo Jungle, Darkstalkers and Game of Thrones. At least the games area looking better then what was offered at the start of the year.

    Already have 3 out of 6 again. It would be nice if Sony extended our subscription by a week for every PS+ game we already owned.

    If you haven’t played Until Dawn, do yourself a favor and download it when it launches for PS+.

    Easily one of the best games this generation. I played it in one sitting when I bought it because I was so hooked.

    all these games are TRASH i dont play game mades for little kids if i have to PAY2PLAY online then i expect to see games made for gamers like me as in FPS games NOT point and click kiddie games and wheres all the triple A games that were promised as sonys way of having a reason to charge players to play online i want action packed games NOT sit and point at everything then click everything games they are lame and boring japan gets killzone the U.S. gets a big ‘ol steamy pile of garbage we should have the chance to choose or vote what games get set as the ps+ free games so with that i will NOT be getting ANY of this months free bad games

      Until Dawn and Game of Thrones ARE AAA games. The definition of AAA games is: AAA,adj (Triple-A) means that a given video game has a large budget or development team. Until Dawn and Game of Thrones were made by Supermassive and TellTale Games. These are HUGE companies with large development teams and budgets. Also, it’s not a point-and-click game. If you accually looked at the game, like at all, you would have noticed that the game is a choose-your-own-adventure-type game with an in-depth storyline with so many Easter-eggs and possible endings. So go back to your Payday 2 action game with 2 possible outcomes and almost no actual story(still love payday tho), and we’ll be POSSIBLY saving 0-8 people in a thriller- horror game (omg, did he just reference choice?!) pondering about weather or not you noticed the majority of people disagree with you, and NONE of them called it point-and-click horse crap because they did thier research.

    Can the Vita please get a little more PS Plus love other than cross-buy PS4 indie games? There are plenty of full retail games that the Vita never has had as a freebie.

    It seems the last 3 or 4 months there has been nothing great for the Vita.

    This was so convenient, I recently started watching GoT (4th season) and was planing on getting TellTale game. Also Until Down was on my list a long time now. Sony is stepping their games up with last month and this!

    those Ps4 games are lame. More Tell Tale? Those games are a fad that’s gone on too long. They’re point-and-click moving comic books/pick-your-own-adventure books from what I’ve seen, with very little interaction or gameplay. That’s stupid. Until Dawn is no better. Walk around, hide, make a choice, rinse, repeat. I thought sony was announcing something that was supposed to be a big deal for ps plus subscribers, instead new members got a free game, which wasn’t good, and a discount on their one year subscription. That’s a slap in the face. KF 2 is the only game in recent memory that has been worth a damn, but I bought that when it came out 7 months ago. Having to spend money on the “deals” (it’s the same damn games every two weeks!) to feel like PS plus is paying off is getting to be bs. playing some games with my friends every once in a while isn’t worth the money. when sony mentioned how many millions of people are using ps plus it really annoyed me

      “NO INTERACTION?!” These games literally change the ending based on what you do. And it’s not point-and-click. These games have in-depth storylines and until Dawn has 10 different outcomes and all of them are different in their own right. Also, you make 22 different choices throughout the game that change the ending, weather or not characters like you, and weather or not you survive. And if you die? The game continues on. You move on to the next character. This is one of the best games that could be on PS plus.

    Totally excited for Until Dawn to be played by more people. I’ve beaten it 4 times i think and 2 were marathons playthroughs with friends. one of the best games on the ps4

      About as interactive as a pick-your-own-adventure book. Listen, choose, watch someone die /not die over and over again to see all the outcomes? Boring. i like story driven games…that i can actually play and be a part of. there’s no combat or hiding/stealth system or anything like that. you walk around with a flashlight and run from noises in the dark. the game is a movie with quick-time events. Don’t confuse what I’m saying, either. Never said it was a bad game. I’m just tired of seeing tell tale games as part of the line-up…and then they threw in until dawn, which is a darker, more mature, more lengthy, and less cell-shaded, tell tale game when it comes down to it.

    They should stop giving Vita games and offer a more expensive PS4 game instead. At least once or twice a year they should give AAA titles. You know, the $59.99 ones.

    Game of thrones really disappointing since its more like a visual novel not a game. Until dawn looks meh but again more of a visual novel. It’s about a 50 50 with games being good and bad.

      Not everyone got ps plus for multiplayer. And ps shouldn’t be for that only, if they want to entice the Xbox players then they need to put out somemore aaa titles.Xbl I had for only 5 months on the 360 had way better games like dead space, grid 2, borderlands, n saints row 4. I only use MP once in a blue moon. If people have a right to comment they like it, others should be able to do the opposite. Feedback is huge for companies in deciding what to do or not to. If no-one complained still be getting all indie titles. It’s understandable for ppl to feel they need more incentive to buy after having MP for free so long n when Xbox the same price but with better games n offers free extra month wit 3 month Xbl cards n free days or a week wit some new disc games. No ps4 game I have had that in it. I wanted to get until dawn so not hating.. But I understand y others feel different

    Tokyo Jungle was released in PS+ Asia a couple of years back. I have PS+ Asia and we got Just Cause 3, The Walking Dead, and Killing Floor 2 for June, we already had Until Dawn a couple of months ago. I wonder what we’ll have in place for that this month.

    Quality titles.

    It would be nice to get a few more RPG games. I know only so many genres exist, but I’d like to see a few more RPG titles.

    Not interested in any of the PS4 or Vita titles. I already have the PS3 titles. Still not really a complaint.

    All you kids saying you’re gonna cancel PS plus because the free games aren’t good are kidding right? Before Sony started the free game with subscription movement, people were paying 60 dollars a month to play online only on Xbox. If you primarily play on PS4 I can’t see any of the people bluffing to cancel actually doing it since it’s main purpose is to pay for online multiplayer. Stop whining because the bonus games aren’t your cup of tea, you’re paying primarily for multiplayer anyway.

      That’s the problem, online was free for ps2 and ps3. If it was costing sony more money than they were making do you think they would have done that for free? Now they’re making a boat-load of money off of ps plus subscribers who just want to play online with their friends; their real-world friends, and the friends they’ve made on ps2 and/or ps3. Since all of this new money is pouring in I figured they would do right by us, since it’s our money. No one is going to forget playing online for free, that’s one of the things that we shoved in xbox 360 owners faces. Giving out often lackluster games for free that have been on sale every other week since they’ve come out isn’t cool. Sony needs to take the ps plus money and pump into the studios making their exclusive titles so I can get goosebumps from a gaming experience again.

      Your post got me curious, so i checked out all of the free ps plus games for ps4 to date, and there aren’t many kids games at all. I may be an adult male but I like kids games. I downloaded LBP 3 in a heart beat. Abzu was a recent one, as well. Not so much a “kids game”, but at least kid friendly. The Crash Bandicoot remaster came out today, I recommend that, for sure…and anything Lego. Lego worlds is absurdly fun. Howvever, Nintendo is the way to go if you’re looking for an abundance of kids games.

    The fact that games are given out for free every month and people complain goes to show that there are people generally ungrateful for lil things that DOESNT have to be free in this world….. With that being said I’m looking forward to the July lineup thank you SCEA!

    I feel like at this point the ps3 games should be discontinued soon to offer better ps4 games remember that console is 11 years old now. And after playing games on ps4 you really can’t go back to ps3 huge difference.

    I happen to like both of these games everyone else can cry like the baby they are but not everything in life is going to be free or be your way. There is a thing called respect and it should be given to these company’s that let you have there game for free. How many years did people not cry for habing to pay for xbox? And they never got free games. So be thankful we aren’t least getting something. They could remove this feature all together.

    Until Dawn was a great game. Still one of the best exclusives on PS4. Nice that a ton more people will get to play it now. I also liked the Game of Thrones game. It was more interesting to me than the Walking Dead games after season 1.

    this list sucks *** worst month ever. i want pick my own games. those warriors are pricey has **** i would rather pick then these pieces of **** your lucky sony i’m keeping my plus for cloud saves and online play for PS4. this is how you should do this sony.

    1 $60 game=PS4
    1 $50 game=PS4 or PS3
    1 $40 game PS4 or PS3 or PS Vita

    also bundles are not in these deals

    also games has to be a year old or something like that.

    Wow, only 4 years to have a AAA game in the PS4 list. That’s really impressive, maybe next year they will throw in Bloodborne or The Witcher 3. I’ve cancelled my PS Plus account when it expired after buying a PS4. Almost all games in the Plus list are $20 or so indie games or some such. Nothing wrong with that, mind you, but I don’t need a subscription to buy a $10 or $20 game a month, I do that on my own. The Plus list for PS3 in the past had Uncharted 3, Bioshock infinite, great AAA games, games that would hurt my budget and that made sense the have the subscription. I think that for them to deserve my subscription, they should have one AAA game per month, or at least, one each 2 months.

    You all know the drill by now. The longer you wait, the cheaper games get. What did you get by paying more? You got to play it first! Not worth it to you? Then don’t buy new games.

    Well, sometimes the game goes out of print, and then you’ll be kicking yourself when the disc version becomes more expensive than ever. But that only happens rarely, and even then it almost always takes 3-5 years.

    Kind of unfortunate that I just bought Until Dawn a month or so ago for like 10 bucks during a PS Store sale. Second time this has happened with a game. On sale and then 2 months later its the PS plus free game.

    This is only my opinion not everyone will agree but ps+ is bs I never had to pay to play online with the ps3 and there isn’t no such thing as free to play you pay 59 bucks a year if it was free to play you could play it even if you didn’t keep your ps+ and like I said my opinion I haven’t played until dawn but sound like Japan gets the better games most every month I look to see what’s new and most of it is bs they dont ever out any nice games on there most of them are cheap games that been played out and there not making anything off of anymore and another thing that bs is you have to pay 12 bucks a month to have access to “450+” ps3 games witch is 240 buck a YEAR! Only way I’d ever think about that bs is if it was a 1 time fee hope some of you understand what I’m saying and tell sony what you think and I think sony is being a cheap money grubby that dont care about the people pockets the robbing
