PS Plus: Free Games for July 2017

Winter is coming, and your choices mean the difference between life and death in Until Dawn and Game of Thrones.

Greetings, PlayStation Nation — and happy start to your summer! We have a bunch of great gaming stuff to talk about, so let’s get started.

First off, the free PlayStation Plus games for July are Until Dawn and Game of Thrones.

Until Dawn is a PlayStation exclusive survival horror adventure where eight friends are trapped together on a remote mountain retreat, and they aren’t alone. You can play as each of the eight characters and experience fear like never before, where every decision you make could mean the difference between life and death!

Next up, we have Telltale’s Game of Thrones series. You’ll get all six episodes, which follows the family of House Forrester as they survive (Or don’t?) the War of the Five Kings. Winter is Coming, and this is a great way to beat the summer heat.

Additionally, from July 4 through October 24 all PlayStation Plus members can get That’s You in celebration of PlayLink’s launch . That’s You sets you off on a journey of discovery with up to five of your friends and family, where you can find out what you really think about each other.

Joining the fun is easy: all you need is your smartphone or tablet and the free companion app. Snap a selfie and enjoy tons of funny questions, texting games, and drawing challenges.

Finally, Orcs Must Die Unchained is launching on July 18. As a PlayStation Plus member, not only will you get access to the game, but you’ll get an exclusive Orcs Must Die Unchained Plus Pack as part of your membership. The $20 pack is only available until August 15, so get it while you can.

    Until Dawn is a game I want in disc,game of thrones is dog crap.Have both PS3 games so the only thing left for me this month is the Vita games which I don’t even know if they’re good or not.Honestly don’t remember Plus having such a bad month for me…but both PS3 games and specially Until Dawn are great games so great lineup this month…shame it ain’t for me but 1 month only won’t make me mad.Nice job Sony.

      Better luck next time, mate. For me it is the second best month so far (the best had Dragon Age Origins and LBP3).

    Games look great! I just wish PSN would take a note from xbox and start letting their PS3 free titles playable on the PS4.

    I wish they would do need for speed 2015 it’s 2 years old now and payback is coming out so would be a great way for EA to boost pre orders for the game when they see need for speed is not a horrible game it’s a pretty good arcade driving sim with great car customization and will bring a fresh batch of players to the franchise since it would be free

    Where is this available for free? I cannot find it anywhere. Everytime they say a game is for free it is no where to be found. I found the game on playstation but it says 20$. And god forbid this post has a link to it.

    Yo! Solid offerings all around, but everybody get hype for Darkstalkers, Until Dawn, and Tokyo Jungle! We got Kung-Fu werewolves, we got predatory Pomeranians, we got Canadian kids getting eaten by wolverines… We gots everything.

    Once again sony releases another boring month, It’s nice we’re getting more AAA games but this is such a bad month and yes i understand the games are meant to be a bonus but what’s the point of a bonus that isn’t actually a bonus.

    It’s really strange. I log into my PS Plus account and I don’t not see any of these games available. I only see Killing Floor and life is strange.

    Whoah, Life Is Strange followed by Until Dawn the next month? Color me happy. They’re both great games, but it seems like nobody else here likes storytellers. Killing Floor was great, as well, but I know nothing about GoT.

    People have every right to complain if they feel they getting poor service. It is bad to have to pay an online fee to play your games online just as it’s bad that developers give a piece of a game for 60 bucks and then charge 3 to 60 for extra things that should be in the game. The free games are not terrible games, but let’s be honest. We should never pat for a Telltale game because they give us those. And those aren’t real games. They are books. Half of them your choices really don’t drastically effect the out come of the game. Until Dawn is essentially an R-Rated Telltale game where the endings do change drastically if someone gets hurt. Should we be getting brand new just released hot games? No. But they could give something that was hot and maybe a year or two old that actually has some form of gameplay involved.

    So for the folk going in on people for not wanting to pay to play online when the only real incentive is some hand me down game they don’t want you should chill. A better incentive might be a one time a month coupon code for x% off or something in addition to the sometimes decent deals they give.

    Remember: these games aren’t free. You’re paying for them when you purchase the membership. But they’re great games anyway. Best ’17 month so far.

    Maybe a better month…

    killing floor it’s just killing… too much killing and nothing great in this game…

    life is strange is good but it’s like to look a movie…nothing to do…
    i only play the 2 first episode and don’t think i play the other episode.

    it’s only me or xbox “give” better game with assassin creed and lego in latest month.
    hard to make everybody happy. just my opinion so.

    Until dawn has been on my buy list for a while so interested to try when my port hard drive arrives. Would like to see a fps or rpg 1 month tho. Or last gen games that were remastered like borderlands. Dmc, re5, tlou,etc. Mayb even ps1games no longer in the ps store like silent hill. I hardly use MP n considering it was free last gen seems a lil crazy to charge same price as Xbox but with fewer aaa titles. In the past 4 months the free games I played were only tearaway, kf2, n tf bordrlnds .considering that plus games only work until your plus ends t they could offer reg ps3 games for free but have ppl stream them l

    Was able to download Until Dawn, Game of Thrones and Tokyo Jungle for free but Darkstalkers Resurrection, Element4l, and Don’t Die, Mr Robot are not showing up as free games for me for some reason.

      I am having the same issue. It appears they don’t even list episode 1 of Game of Thrones and list only episodes 2 – 6 and the season pass. Dark Stalkers and Mr Robot says it cost 14.99 and 3.99 even though it is listed in PS Plus free games on the PS Store and if you click it says something about this being a free game but then goes to charge you. I am using the Firefox web browser on linux.

      I was able to get episode one of game of thrones by searching for it but the other games are not listed free on the free for ps section of the ps store yet.

    Please stop with the Telltale. They aren’t even really games. I could get the exact same experience by watching someone play it free on twitch or YouTube. They are the worst in the industry churning out the low quality cutscenes where you have to do quick time events to advance and your “choices” mean nothing. I feel like I’m losing a game every time i see them in the lineup. I don’t mind occasionally getting them from other companies like double fine, or a game like until dawn.. But there’s been a telltale “game” in the lineup like 5+ times this past year.

      There is some kind of a problem as i have the same issue as you. Two games are not listed as free yet even though it is under ps plus free games.

    What utter trash this month, there are soooo many way better games to be giving out *smh*! Also, what people like clupula668 don’t understand is that if people (like me & others) don’t like a certain game genre or a certain IP it doesn’t make them spoiled, it just means they have their own preference of games or content. To think they are spoiled is a very shallow way of thinking. I also feel people are entitled to complain in situations like this.

    Darkstalkers isn’t showing up as free, it’ll say free but when you go to check out it says full price.

      They seemed to have fixed everything. The only thing they didn’t fix yet is having to search for game of thrones episode 1. episodes 2 through 6 and season pass show up under Playstation Plus free games on the store.

      A work around is to search for it manually and it shows up as free.

    I am sick and tired of looking for this free stuff. Anyone have a link to where its at? They playstation website barely loads and its giving me no rewards for being a playstation plus member. People have said its all now working but I literally cant even log into playstation.com…

    I have to say, it does seem Xbox live members do get better free games. But whatever, there have been some good deals lately if your a plus member. I just bought shadow of Mordor and mad Max for right around $10. I also bought phantom pain MG5 for under $20 month before. So, I’ll take the plus as long as they continue offering good deals to the members. Ps now for free would be an awesome feature for plus members. Especially since backwards compatibility is a thing of the past. I don’t I’m the only PlayStation plus member that has some favorite PS3 games
