Brace yourselves, people! We have another great lineup of games coming to PlayStation Plus this month. With shooters, puzzle games, platformers, and more, we have a little something for everyone this April.
To start things off, allow us to present Tower of Guns on PS4 and PS3. It’s about a tower filled with guns. And so much more! Shooter fans, prepare for an adrenaline-pounding challenge through a randomized tower with enemies, bosses, power-ups, and little robots that just want to hug you. Also on PS4, explore the Alaskan wilderness with Never Alone, a beautiful puzzle game with an adorable pet fox. Guide a native Alaskan girl through harsh environments in a touching effort to save her village.
For Plus members gaming on PS3, look out for Dishonored, the critically acclaimed stealth game that celebrates player choice above all else. Also in the mix is Aaru’s Awakening, a stunning platformer that’s also available on PS4. And for PS Vita, both Killzone Mercenary and MonsterBag are joining the Plus lineup this month.
These games will be free for PlayStation Plus members next week Tuesday when the PlayStation Store updates. Enjoy!

Players take control of Corvo Attano, a bodyguard framed for murder and imbued with powerful abilities to seek revenge. This game is all about player choice, and feeling awesome while executing extreme stealth maneuvers.
Aaru’s Awakening (PS3, PS4)

What started as a school project for a team of students in Iceland is now a gorgeous platformer about navigating treacherous terrain with well-timed teleports.
Killzone Mercenary (PS Vita)

View the iconic war against the Helghast from a mercenary’s point of view, and jump into a robust multiplayer mode to show how good (Or bad?) you actually are.
MonsterBag (PS Vita)

It absolutely is a first world problem….and you’d have a very good point, if we were complaining about this in another venue, in a conversation thread that had NOTHING to do with this topic…
But the conversation is about this month’s mostly disappointing IGC titles, because that’s what the blog post was about..so the conversation is completely legit, and so are the complaints.
That said, nobody is trying to say this isn’t a first world problem….people are very annoyed, because we pay money to be subscribed to plus, and right now, it’s not really worth that money.
Everyone keeps talking about “free” games….no, they’re not free, they’re part of your subscription fee….and they’re not worth it. Again, if sony hadn’t made plus mandatory for services access on PS4, i’m pretty sure subscriptions would have been dropping pretty steadily for a long while now….
Can someone tell from software remote play is backwards on vita. R2/L2 R3/L3 need swapping.

I have been very interested in Dishonored so it’s nice to see I’ll finally have a chance to play it. Sadly, it’s going to be the only game for me, as everything else is just a gimmicky indie game(Except KZ, but I don’t have a vita so…)

Always good for PS3 and vita but I hate these indie games. If I wanted to play those type of games, I would have bought a Sega for 5 bucks. Are we just pretending that Drive Club PS Plus edition never came out? On a garbage month like this your could have put one title that is worthy of the PS4 :-( woah Dave? Come on man

My friends are always complaining about the indie titles, but im really enjoying them. Transistor is a fantastic game.
That tower guns game looks really fun. And Never Alone ive been on the cusp of buying for a while but I never bothered. Killzone Mercenary for Vita and Dishonored for Ps3? Youve outdone yourself this time, ps plus :)

PS Plus is COMPLETE GARBAGE for any PS4 owner, and is nothing more than way to do what Sony said they would never do, and CHARGE YOU TO PLAY GAMES ONLINE. Even X-Box live stopped charging, then Sony picked up that very same SCAM and now CHARGE YOU TO PLAY ONLINE. How much of this INDIE TRASH can you really stand ???? What’s going on for the past 4 months the PS3 games have been so much better than the PS4 free games. Once again i am disappointed, probably won’t renew my membership it this continues.

Another worthless month for me as a PS4 owner. Out of all the possible PS4 Plus games I have two. Outlast and Resogun. It seems like Sony is intend on releasing poor quality Sega Genesis indies each month. Either upgrade the Indies or start including some launch AAA titles. Enough with platforms, side scroller, 2D games with no plot or graphics. For those who don’t like what I am saying please send me 50.00 and pay for my subscription. Until you do, I have a right as a paying consumer to an opinion and demand excellence. People like me help drive Sony to step their game up. We still have no Playstation Plus Driveclub which was “supposed to be a launch title and now is 7 months late from their release. Yet so many Sony yes men will accept ANYthing Sony throws their way. These are not free games. All the games we receive each month are 50.00 annual rentals. If you do not have the plus you cannot keep them and continue to play them so they are not free just yearly rentals. Since I am paying 50.00 a year to rent these games. Sony please step your game up

We have a 400.00 system with 2-3 game rentals giving to us that were made on a $5 budget. We were forced to pay to play online. The PS4 is over 15 months old so now they can start to include one AAA launch title like Knack, Killzone, Assasian’s Creed or even that Metal Gear Game. I had this system since Blackfriday of Nov 2013. I have two plus titles: Outlast and Resogun. It’s ridiculous they don’t even make next generation type indies for our system. I mean I think they create the games with the monitors off. They are not free games, they’re 50.00 annual rentals.
@Gnostic_Prince: agree with you! If i were interested in indie games i could use PC or stick to ps3 but i chose ps4, why? because i f*&%#$@ wanted new generation games. And I buy physical games, otherwise my PS4 would just collect dust cause this PS+ for ps4 console is almost useless. Those who not complaining probably not PS4 owners. Indie games get so boring for me that I CAN’T even freaking finish them. I heard good stuff about Never Alone, so hope at least it will help me pass some time. But I freaking hate endless games, and tower of guns sounds exactly like that.

I am thankful for the free games.. Dishonored I beat a long time ago one of the best games of all time. Kill zone mercenaries is prob the only good kill zone game I’ve played in my opinion. But seriously psn you guys needs to support external hard drives. I am not tech savvy enough to take my ps4 apart and I love it to much to break it. With all these games I have no more space!!
And I have to admit I am. Very disappointed with this tower of guns it looks like a game made for the ps2. It always seems like the titles for ps4 are lame on the ps plus free games.

PS+ don’t have any plus…. do you see what games are for free on the Microsoft platform every month ?…. and the games on 360 are really free !!!, if you don’t pay the subscription you can still playing FREE games (not on one)…. but here, if you don’t pay your subscription YOU CAN’T PLAY ANY GAME…. that’s too bad and sucks. Really Sony want to kill their users ?????. Could be great if any directive of Sony read all these comments on the blog. But I think they don’t care.

FYI…
1) It’s unnecessary to download any of these games until you actually want to play them. Use the web store to add the ones you want to your cart. Complete the transaction and there you go. The games will be on your download list. Just like purchased items, anything on your download list can be downloaded and deleted as many times as you wish.
2) The games aren’t free. They don’t cost extra beyond the price of your subscription, but they’re still not free. And they’re all gone once your Plus expires.
3) This month’s games will be available on Tuesday, April 7th when the store updates. Probably around 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern.

They aren’t free, they aren’t permanent or trade-able so the value of them isn’t based on what they are “worth” on the market or sold as the only value they have is if they will be played or not. so literally the only value they have is if I will sit down and install and play them or not and there hasn’t been a game since December worth playing (injustice) one game out of 30 plus games is worth playing. I’m going to say they are garbage games ever time because they are garbage games. just trash shovel ware to fill the slots even transistor was a trash game, I wouldn’t play if sony directly paid me to play it.
When ever they decided to give us these games for PS+ then I’ll be happy until then I’ll think every month is going to be “meh”

Great lineup of games as usual. Love seeing indie games that can bring new ways to experience the medium. Just goes to show that AAA development costs are just becoming too much, so less risks are taken. Just look at how many AAA studios have closed or been bought since the PS2 era… Indie games truly are the future.

Nice to see another beautiful, potentially-educational game (Never Alone, like Valiant Hearts) show up for PS4. Between that and this arcade-y FPS, it looks like another month well worth its $2 share of subscription on PS4 alone.

What do people expect from a new console… It’s going to take a few years for ps to start releasing top end games on ps+ for the 4, personally I’m happy waiting for developers to see how far they can push limits for the console! That’s how we ended up with amazing games on the 3 the likes of the last of us, uncharted take years to develop! I’d rather a indie game than get a bug ridden high end game rushed to be finished… Destiny and the order is proof of that!
I think every single game I bought physical copies of now, except Ys, has gone on PS+ now. It’s… bittersweet.

wow, another month of indie games. this is really making me second guess getting a ps4 instead of the xbox one. we got terreria, gears of war judgment, assassin’s creed iv black flag and army of 2 the devils cartel on the xb360. you need to step your game up sony!
So when does PS4 get good, real games? Only one they got that was an actual game since release was Injustice. Where’s Knack? Killzone Shadowfall? Battlefield 4? Cod Ghost? Even NHL 14 would be a decent surprise… It’s not like Sony is making much money off these titles anymore, majority of the games I mentioned you can find in EB’s bargain bin. You guys are starting to get cheap. I own a Vita, PS3, and a PS4. I also own an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One. You know what Microsoft gave for free this month? Pool Nation FX Xbox One, Child of Light Xbox One, Rayman Legends Xbox One, Gears of War: Judgement Xbox 360, Terraria Xbox 360. Like I said, I own consoles from both you guys and your competition so don’t think I am a fanboy of either side (I also own a sick gaming PC but I am not into that Master Race crap either), but you are starting to drop the ball. A lot of my friends who are loyal to Playstation are considering jumping ship because they feel they are getting more bang for their buck. I honestly can’t say I disagree.
