Brace yourselves, people! We have another great lineup of games coming to PlayStation Plus this month. With shooters, puzzle games, platformers, and more, we have a little something for everyone this April.
To start things off, allow us to present Tower of Guns on PS4 and PS3. It’s about a tower filled with guns. And so much more! Shooter fans, prepare for an adrenaline-pounding challenge through a randomized tower with enemies, bosses, power-ups, and little robots that just want to hug you. Also on PS4, explore the Alaskan wilderness with Never Alone, a beautiful puzzle game with an adorable pet fox. Guide a native Alaskan girl through harsh environments in a touching effort to save her village.
For Plus members gaming on PS3, look out for Dishonored, the critically acclaimed stealth game that celebrates player choice above all else. Also in the mix is Aaru’s Awakening, a stunning platformer that’s also available on PS4. And for PS Vita, both Killzone Mercenary and MonsterBag are joining the Plus lineup this month.
These games will be free for PlayStation Plus members next week Tuesday when the PlayStation Store updates. Enjoy!

Players take control of Corvo Attano, a bodyguard framed for murder and imbued with powerful abilities to seek revenge. This game is all about player choice, and feeling awesome while executing extreme stealth maneuvers.

What started as a school project for a team of students in Iceland is now a gorgeous platformer about navigating treacherous terrain with well-timed teleports.
Killzone Mercenary (PS Vita)

Is PS4 ever going to get some good games. Or are we just going to continue to get ****** indie games.
The only game I can find when I search the PlayStation store is Never Alone and it is not free. The other 2 don’t even show up, and there is no availability dates listed. As a new member to ps+, this blog is nothing short of confusing, and infuriating……but, then again, I’m not sure if this is just a stupid April Fools joke…
Is Dishonored the Game of the Year Edition of the game, or just the regular edition?
Once again disappointed at the onslaught of indie games :/ I understand that you can’t just throw AAA games onto the list every month but reward us for renewing our subscription! The only reason I currently have ps plus is for online. Lets have some real games next month?
great I can’t wait to play those in Indy games once just like every other month PlayStation tries to you act like your subscription pays for the games but most people wouldn’t pay for the games they release go figure I was much happier in the pre ps puls time of free multiplayer and no free games $15 a month for something I was already getting for free thanks sony and to rub it in may release mainstream gamesfor Vita and ps3 so why when they do the same for ps4

Another month of TRASH, surprise surprise. Rired of saying this, ENOUGH WITH TRASH INDIES ON PS4 ON PLUS! It has been quite long enough, give us REAL retail games already! I know at least 4 people who no longer get Plus due to the complete tripe you keep giving us on PS4, and I greatly regret renewing mine given the insulting garbage you keep trying to tell us is good for PS4 plus. Utterly appaling!
*Tired Also, I will NEVER buy an indie on PSN, EVER. Why should I, or anyone? It’ll be next month’s “great” PS4 plus game, so why bother?
I like that all current systems get love, I’ll be busy on PS4 as usual, but it’s seems like this month has more reason to play ps vita! :)

Btw I love the PS vitaTV! Playing final fantasy dissidia on my big screen and with a ps4 controller is amazing! Please make more games compatable with it and please add YouTube. Looking at the list looks like Killzone should work on the VitaTV.. Ok I’m sold. I’ll resub.

Damn Sony, do you hate your PS4 owners or something? I did not spend all that money on a PS4 to play games I could play on a mobile phone or Spectrum 48k. Why are we still getting these crap games and where is DriveClub PS Plus Edition. PS4 has been out almost a year and a half and so far we’ve had few or no proper PS4 games and countless problems with the subscription service you’ve made us pay for. You seem to have money to waste on the April fool PS Flow ad. Why not put that into either some quality PS Plus games for PS4 or at least basic features like Bluetooth backward compatibility and DLNA which PS4 had but you have for some reason omitted from its so-called successor.
Even for indie games, this is a bad show. Not had a decent game come on to plus for a while now. Don’t even get excited about checking what’s coming out anymore.
PS4 users keep getting the shaft.

They’re not bombarding us with VINTAGE games, they’re bombarding us with INDIE games…..HUGE difference..
The worst bit, is that most of them aren’t even very good indie games….
In any event, calling this blast of mostly crap indie titles, a “blast from the past”, is insulting not only to the indie games, but also to actual vintage games….
3 months PS+ member on ps4, still 0 free games got my full atention.
And I did try them all. Its disappointing to see me getting indie games (mostly not even good) and my friends on x360 getting games like Witcher 2, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Rider, Assasins Creed 4 Black Flagetc. (Thats all this year only!!)
I chose the PS4 over the Xbox One because of Bloodborne. It was an absolute joy to plop down $450 for a PS4 and Bloodborne, I was so excited! I still am! But, and I really hate to say it, PS Plus was more of a nuisance of a purchase. I don’t want to complain, I love my PS4 and Bloodborne made it worth the purchase; but the free titles are mostly lackluster.
I know this console isn’t very old yet and so I completely understand that if you gave away a bunch of AAA titles, you guys would be kinda hosed. Could you instead get the emulation working? I had a roommate with PS3 years ago and bought some neat PSN titles, like Mortal Kombat II. I’d rather have that than Tower of Guns, which is really just a shoddier version of Unreal Tournament (albeit versus turrets and enviromental things).

You’d kick Microsoft in the balls if you started giving away/letting us buy PS/PS2/PS3 AAA titles. Heck you’ve got the PS Now service. Do you think you could make some of the better games there free for PS+ members as permanent titles? Or at least a well rated AAA title here and there? When I look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Instant_Game_Collection_games_(North_America)#PlayStation_4 it really isn’t that impressive.
All that said, perhaps you guys should create a survey for your active PS Plus members to get our opinions. PS Plus was neat when it was bonus content and free games. Who could complain? You didn’t need it; it was an optional thing that netted you some interesting games. Now with more games then ever being multiplayer, and PS Plus a requirement for that; you guys should work to make us love PS+, not groan with every month’s list.

Second month I’m not feeling the PS Plus games for PS4…

@everyone: April’s Plus games won’t be available until the store updates on April 7th. The weekly store update is always scheduled for Tuesday, and typically happens by 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern.
This month will be more confusing to newcomers (and potentially frustrating to many others) due to the greater-than-usual distance between the start of the month and the first Tuesday of the month. Remember: Plus games are available starting on the first Tuesday of the month and ending on the first Tuesday of the next month.
@Daniel Winkler: I haven’t seen this guy’s name before. While most of his replies seem to be about hyping the games and responding only to positive feedback, at least he’s digging deep into the later pages of these comments and not stopping after the first few like some people. ;)
IMHO, what this blog needs most is a thread-based comment section much like EU has. Read what someone said about a particular comment if you wish, or ignore it entirely if you prefer by skipping to the next comment.
Regarding April’s lineup, I’m generally pleased. Not too excited, but then I haven’t heard of half of these and am reserving judgement. Besides, I have only a PS3. I can imagine being happier if I had a Vita or much less so if I had only a PS4.
Getting Dishonored means I can test the game to see if it’s worthwhile. I own it on disc but I have yet to play it. So if I don’t much care for it (or even if I do), I can sell/trade my disc. Getting a game I already own physically is an opportunity, in a way, to actually make money from Plus.
There’s no really good reason for so many to keep calling each other out in every post, but that’s the one thing I know I can count on from this blog. Cheers.

Yea…joined playstation plus in January in hope of getting some good game for ps4 but all of them are indie games. Whatta disappointment. Had to stick with PS3 :/

Cool. Very excited for Never Alone. I’ve been wanting to check that out since I first heard about it. Glad to see Dishonored on there too. I haven’t bought or played any of it because I’ve been concerned it will make me motion sick, but a friend of mine can’t suggest it enough, so I’m looking forward to trying it.
As long as I’ve got a game or two I’m excited to try each month I’ll call it a win. My vita has no space left to download anything and my friend informs me she’s been abusing my PS4 quite happily (I’m travelling right now).
Hey now, just because it’s not a triple A title doesn’t mean it sucks. Some of the absolute best games you will ever play are indie games. These are first world problems if I’ve ever seen them.

I freakin’ HATE how in the US, the PS Blog never tells us when the plus games will be available. Every day I go to the store. Nope. Nothing. Go check out the European Blog and — oh, would you look at that! They say when the old ones will leave and when the new ones will appear (April 8th, in case anyone cares.)
The people operating, writing for and running this blog are sloppy, inconsiderate and possibly inbred. It’s very clear when you think about all the issues that have occurred over the past year or so. Shoddy communication at best. For a PAID service.
