PS Plus: Free Games for April 2015

Brace yourselves, people! We have another great lineup of games coming to PlayStation Plus this month. With shooters, puzzle games, platformers, and more, we have a little something for everyone this April.

To start things off, allow us to present Tower of Guns on PS4 and PS3. It’s about a tower filled with guns. And so much more! Shooter fans, prepare for an adrenaline-pounding challenge through a randomized tower with enemies, bosses, power-ups, and little robots that just want to hug you. Also on PS4, explore the Alaskan wilderness with Never Alone, a beautiful puzzle game with an adorable pet fox. Guide a native Alaskan girl through harsh environments in a touching effort to save her village.

For Plus members gaming on PS3, look out for Dishonored, the critically acclaimed stealth game that celebrates player choice above all else. Also in the mix is Aaru’s Awakening, a stunning platformer that’s also available on PS4. And for PS Vita, both Killzone Mercenary and MonsterBag are joining the Plus lineup this month.

These games will be free for PlayStation Plus members next week Tuesday when the PlayStation Store updates. Enjoy!

Tower of Guns (PS4, PS3)

Free for PS Plus members
A game that needs little introduction. Why? Because it’s a tower filled with guns! Over-the-top in all the right ways, try to survive this tower with random enemies, bosses, power-ups, and a boatload of bullets.

Never Alone (PS4)

Free for PS Plus members
This beautiful puzzle adventure tasks you with guiding Nuna, a native Alaskan girl, through breath-taking environments to save her village. Also, you get to travel with a fox! Can’t get much better than a pet fox.

Dishonored (PS3)

Free for PS Plus members
Players take control of Corvo Attano, a bodyguard framed for murder and imbued with powerful abilities to seek revenge. This game is all about player choice, and feeling awesome while executing extreme stealth maneuvers.

Aaru’s Awakening (PS3, PS4)

Free for PS Plus members
What started as a school project for a team of students in Iceland is now a gorgeous platformer about navigating treacherous terrain with well-timed teleports.

Killzone Mercenary (PS Vita)

Free for PS Plus members
View the iconic war against the Helghast from a mercenary’s point of view, and jump into a robust multiplayer mode to show how good (Or bad?) you actually are.

MonsterBag (PS Vita)

Free for PS Plus members
An adorable puzzle game about a bag-shaped monster named V trying to reach his friend Nia without scaring the pants off of people. May or may not include a battle of wits, skill, and the inevitable apocalypse.

I like those so far, but it would be nice if you (Sony) gave away one of the mainstream multiplayer games for the PS4, such as Killzone or the last of us, those are superb games and I would love to play them, though I’m still busy with bloodborne, anyhow, great games, I wanna try monsterbag.

Fifty measly bucks a year, and you expect top-of-the-line multi-million dollar productions to endlessly flow into your laps. As if there aren’t agreements to fulfill or budgets to be balanced. Your lack of gratitude coupled with your ignorance of business procedure is the cause of all your frustration. Here we go again.. Another crappy month for the PS4.. and there I thought March would be the last crappy month for the PS4. How Wrong I was :/ Come to think about it this month now is the crappiest in 2015. I truly regret selling my PS3 to get the PS4… Seriously dumbest decision in my gaming life… PS4 is great.. But by now I know SONY wants us to have PS3 + PS4 + PS Vita.. I wish this list was April fools list :D

Im really happy most months with the amount of content that gets released for the cheap price of the subscription, its sad to see so many people looking a gifted horse in the mouth. People demanding titles or using the comments to threaten cancelling subscriptions.. because they have cant AC4 or some other title.. dude that game is like 15 bucks.. cancel your subscription and go buy it… “Well ps3 hey dishonored” dishonored is like 4 years old now…. please enjoy what is given to you or stop talking and spoiling it for everyone else who is happy with what they get.

not many years ago you didnt get anything besides the games you bought. just throwing that out there.

i didn’t like nor hate on February’s line up for ps4, but March and Aprils have both been very bad
I’m not a fan of Indy games, I try them and lose interest almost right away

I truly regret buying a ps4, the servers are not the greatest, cod dlc comes a month before on Xbox, ps4 can’t play CDs (store bought) I cant play movies on usb drives like the PS3, i feel like I’m ****ing my money away having to have plus to play online when PS3 doesn’t and PS3 gets good games for plus where ps4 gets ****

Before someone tells me to switch to Xbox, I’m already trying to thanks ;)

What a dissapointment for the PS4 again. Why do the PS3 and PSVita get good fully fledged games and we get crap? Where is our Killzone? It’s not like anyone is still buying that game…

If this keeps up I’m not going to continue paying for it. It’s just not worth it at the moment.

People who pay $4 a month for ps+ and then expect AAA $60 games for their measly $4 are delusional. Apparently in their small minds paying $50 a year entitles them to get at least 1 $60 game a month so for their $50 they should get a minimum of $720 in games throughout the year. Obviously none of these brainiacs run or own a business of their own. Have a nice life being jackasses.

I had ps+ until January of this year. I didn’t feel it was a good value for me so I cancelled. End of story

Meh. Part of me wants to believe this is an april fools day joke. But i know its not. My plus subscription runs out at the end of this month, wont be renewing til i get a ps4 i suppose. It just hasnt been worth the money.
And before anyone says “oh why do you complain about free games, just take them at least you got that”, let me say this. It seems that alot of people have forgotten that these games are not free. The whole deal with ps plus was to get a new game every month. Yes you get some discounts but that only makes a difference when your actually spending more money buying things in the store. And only on certain things. Usually the money you “save” with ps plus in a year is less then what you pay for a years membership.
Also lets not also forget that you never own these games. Once your ps plus runs out, any of those “free” games becomes locked out. You cant play them. Plus was always about getting good games for a subscription fee.

Even if you say that we us that are complaining should drop our subscripiton and then see what its like…. I would. But they are forcing you in a way that you cannot play multiplayer games unless you pay that subscription.

For that forcing they try to make it up to you with free games…. Ok we all agreed with that… But not indie games every month…. The single AAA title was First Light witch is a 15 bucks. And the rest is indies I don’t want to complete the 50 bucks subscription?

Comparing to STEAM on PC ( you don’t have to play for multiplayer and you are not region locked), Playstation Plus is not a deal winner by far. 4 the gamers? Nothing that came out for Playstation didn’t showed me I have a good gaming rig wih good games and deals. This in not at all 4 the gamers. This is steal from the gamers.

@JustLu you forgot to mention that the games we want are old and are not selling anymore…. In worst case scenario I will buy them on sale for just a few $ and get a bunch of AAA games with 50$.

The problem is that they are forcing players to pay for that subscription because of the multiplayer component and obligativity.
Cause otherwise I would have canceled my subscription long time ago.

I don’t want indie games and I wouldn’t have payed at all for indie games in the first place. Plus the games AAA we could get are the games that are not selling anymore…. Games that are old….
So you do the math wonderboys….
Buy AAA games on sales for a few bucks ( after a period from their release, even a year) or get random indie games for 50$ the whole year?
I’ve bought BF4 for 12$ and Assasins Creed Black Flag for 8$. Not to mention the used games shops that sell them even cheaper.

You do the math, non trolls under 15 years than need to still learn in school…

We are not being spoilt or whiny as some might say, we are just sick off games we could play on our phones, which by the way are much better than the offerings each month on PS PLUS. Put the money into decent games and stop leaving us all underwhelmed and hating SONY for feeding us **** and calling it chocolate cake! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

is there any plan to include AAA games for PS4? so far only indie???? c’mon! not complaining about PS3 games. I got quite a few good games for my PS3, but still waiting for something good for PS4 to appear, even vita is getting good games compared to PS4. Seriously think about that. I´ve to admit that the spring discounts are really good but again just for PS3. Regards.

I got Killzone Mercenary it’s the best first person shooter out. Also got Dishorored with all dlc it’s good but movements could have been smoother. But there is options stealth or head on! Guess for me is Tower Defense and aaru’s awakening and monster bag. As always I welcome any games I never heard of. There’s times we do get GEMS!

Why shouldn’t be we disappointed? the PS4 has been out for over a year now, and SCEI has released little to no content of any real substance on the PS4 IGC. I’m pretty sure most of us are still subscribed to PS+ either for the IGC, or because you guys swindled us into a mandatory subscription for online services with PS4, while leaving online service access for PSP, Vita, and PS3 completely free….

Why don’t you get those lazy sods over at evolution to fix Driveclub, so that we can finally get the PS+ edition that was promised to us so long ago? THAT would be something of real substance for PS4

Arrg drowning in a pool of indies, can’t breath. Stop with the 10 minute distractions. They are not fun or engaging. They are all essentially the same game with different art styles. It’s one thing to play them once in awhile but they are being shoved down our throats for free because nobody actually pays for them. Wow been holding my breath for MonsterBag, gonna remember that one for a long time. Pffft.

Just voicing my opinion: I hate when people post comments like (These games are free and you guys should be happy etc, etc, etc,) These games are NOT free, but part of a subscription that I and everyone else who has PS Plus pay for. Of course everyone is NOT going to be pleased with every monthly line up of games…let’s be honest here most of the games released monthly for (PS4) aren’t too great indie games. The ONLY game I enjoyed from PS Plus some far was DUST AN ELYSIAN TAIL.

Can you stop giving your predecessors insanely better games than your current gen console? Like, this is the worst line up ever. I would just like once not to see a single indie game and instead have actual games that don’t suck c*** for a living. What is this? FIRE EVERYONE IN YOUR PS4 PS PLUS TEAM. THEY CLEARLY HAVE LOST THEIR WAY. You just seem to want to screw over your fans royally. This is not the PS plus that is on the same calibur as the vita or the ps3. Their games annihilate PS4’s every single time.

The value of the PS4 free games are just absolute gutter trash and the price for PS plus should be halved if you’re just going to give us this horses***

I did subscribe only for the games. I started PS+ on the PS3 when it was themes, avatars and PS1 games. I still subscribe for PS+ on the PS4 only for the giveaway games. I have no interest in online gaming.

It would be nice if you offered something for people that don’t like indie games on ps4 instead of releasing 2 or 3 indie games on the ps4 every month. Mix it up a little. Just one good game next month so my PS plus subscription doesn’t feel worthless. GTA V or killzone would be nice.

I don’t even mind that I bought Killzone Mercenary a few weeks ago. It is an amazing game that every Vita owner should experience. I’ve also had my eye on Never Alone since it was announced and I’m glad I can finally get to play it.
