  • Removing trophy list with 0% is a step on the right direction, please allow us to remove trophy lists with earned trophies We need that

  • How about lowering the price of memory cards , or allowing decent compensation to trade in for larger?

I know my Vita needs 128gb or above already.

  • Sorry but I am not upgrading until PS4 gets DLNA support.

  • What about sorting trophy lists alphabetically? Hmm?

  • How about you give me back the ability to play my own music and other files just like the PS3……………..that one pissed me off…..!!

  • Any word on when we might be able to view/organize our library/home screen better?
Also, can PS3 achievements/trophies be added to the PS4 “What’s New” screen? A lot of us PS4 users still play PS3 games too :)

  • Can we put movies on the PS4 like the PS3 and watch them

  • My online name is THOMAS_BURKE_ text me and lete know can we put movies on the PS4 like the PS3 and watch them i have a playstation3 thanks

  • 1) Have you fixed the problem where I launch a game, then manually have to quit out because a patch is downloading? I’d prefer to be required

    2) Have you fixed the problem where it takes tons of scrolling and searching to see the Trophies for the game currently being played if it isn’t the first time you played it and you haven’t earned any in a while?

    3) Have you fixed the problem with most games’ overview page where the Trophy section never shows up?! (Which would fix problem 2 as well).

  • **Automatic Trophy Screenshots**

PLEASE tell me this option can be turned off….. HDD space is valuable and I don’t want it wasted with tons of trophy pics!!

  • how about support for other headphones besides Playstation 4 headphones? seems a bit petty my old ipod and my phone can do it

  • I like where this is going.

  • I’d like to see a paid unlock on the PS Mobile App that allows any device access to Remote Play.

  • Please add Sony Gold Wireless Headset support for PSTV.

  • No Spotify integration??

  • PSN ID NAME CHANGE. i hope we get this feature in the next update.

  • OK, I’m freaking out a bit…………….most people still don’t know what you can and cant do with the PS4……….for the record, you CAN NOT play burned disks………….so not pictures of Grandma at Thanksgiving……………and as far as I know, you can use any headphone……………..i use all kinds of headphones. As long as the pin is the correct size they work………..

  • My one request would be Bluetooth headset support. I have two pairs of Sony noise cancelling bluetooth headset (Costco FTW), that the PS4 says it can’t use.

  • Awesome! :D Sony you need to focus on these features next!

    1.DNLA
2.notification for when friends go on/offline
3.folders just like on Vita OS! I want that flexibility of arranging apps games wherever I want.

  • Got home from work and intended to jump right into Bloodborne last night but was met with a 2+gig day 1 patch that only decided to start downloading after the game had installed from the disc (a download that took 1.5 hours of the 2 hours I had available to play with last night). There has to be a better way to get players day 1 patches, even if it means letting players opt-in for patches for games that aren’t out yet/they don’t own yet.

  • this is amazinggg !!! especially the deleting 0% trophies ability! is this also available for PS3 trophies?

  • About this Verified Accounts — Select game developers, producers, designers and community managers will be verified with a badge.

Does it work for people who run their own small company like sharing things when steaming from PS4? Can you give me more details on this or something. If not i can wait to find out then.

  • Update remote play so you can use mics to communicate with friends! It’s the one thing missing to make remote play great!

  • I hope we can see who are friends jump online and offline with last sign: min ago along with being able to change are blue icon from being online to Yellow we are not their, to Red for Offline. :)

Can we back up one thing at time or everything at once? I hopes its both ways, i want to back up only things i need from games to ect like PS Vita does it.

  • sony, any word on replacement for near. i actually used it

  • Weekday about the offline trophy?

  • When ohhh when will we be able to mass delete notifications… and mass delete friends even….

  • “Automatic Trophy Screenshots — A screenshot will automatically be captured when a Trophy is earned, preserving the moment to share with friends.”

I hope you can turn this option off.

“Find and Connect with Friends — “Yukimura” adds to an already robust set of social tools, bringing several updates to continue making PS4 the best place to play with your friends, including:”

Give me the option to get rid of the “Players You May Know” on the Online Friends list. It’s annoying. If I knew them and wanted to be friends with them on PSN I would know how to find them and send them a request.

And I would love to see a firmware update that fixes the mess that is “What’s New.” It’s a cluster**** of squares with ads and random game moments that is unreadable. It’s visually unappealing and you can’t really get to information you’d actually want to see.

  • DLNA???!!! C’mon, are you just ignoring our requests? Is it really that difficult to implement? What’s the hold up?

  • still no notifications when friends sign on? ridiculous

  • And yet they still have not added video chat with the camera or no apps for it either. Like SKYPE or even a Sony vide chatting service. I have a camera to use as a paper weight. This is supposed to be an advanced system, but yet it’s behind in time. The PS3 was move advanced than the PS4. WELL GREATNESS IS STILL WAITING AND SO ARE WE.

  • Some of these features will be very welcome for me. I’m particularly interested in that remapping the DS4 option. If that works, I’m going to import special edition Japanese PS4s, like that sweet red Metal Gear model.

  • I’m still waiting for that name change feature

  • Where is DLNA? Why can’t I play video and MP3s from my thumb drive? Where are the friend notifications?

Basically, where are the basic features?

    FAIL

  • What people fail to understand is that these are the most requested features people wanted to see. Anyway it’s excellent to to this is coming out tommorrow I thought it might have been next month.

  • DLNA? Enough with the bellyaching about this every time there is a system update. DLNA is a code acronym for “I want to play pirated movies and music (that I downloaded illegally) through my PS4.” You can see how for Sony, a producer and distributor of music and movies, DLNA networking is low on the PS4’s priority list. Just connect your laptop to your tv. Problem solved.

This is a big update. Happy for the kids that can upgrade from sub-accounts. Love the suspend/resume feature (use it all the time on my Vita when life interrupts a game). Saving a backup to an external hard-drive is a vital feature. Automatic trophy screenshots are cool. 0% trophy deletion and sorting trophies make sense. Props for making the UI more accessible for those with disabilities. Facebook + friend recommendation stuff…whatever, I guess.

One suggestion: I would love to be able to plug my Vita into my PS4 (like the PS3) to backup the Vita’s software and transfer files.

  • No spotify?

  • And here I was getting super excited when I saw the external hard drive support only to realize that it wasn’t the more important external hard drive support we need at all -_- THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ON PS4 NOW. Upgrading the internal hard drive isn’t enough anymore! The game file sizes are far too large to not allow external hard drive support especially when both competing consoles do. There are too many good games know PS4 these days and we don’t want to have to delete them constantly and re-install them. This is quickly becoming a major issue on your console! Some of us buy a lot of games and if you want us to continue doing it, you need to give us the storage required!

  • That is a pretty nice and hefty list. I hope you guys do the right thing with DLNA/video media player in the future.

  • I see a lot of complaints from people on here, but I think this update looks great.

As a “dad gamer” I think the suspend/resume feature is going to come in really handy. Free time is often in short supply for me, so being able to pick up and play for short periods without worrying about making it to a checkpoint is a huge bonus. Thanks!

  • Way to leave out improved audio functionality.

Came from xbox and with PS4 I’m completely unable to have: voice + game audio output come through speakers, while still being able to use a microphone. What if I’m playing with a group of people on one system, that also want to hear party chat from a game?

  • Mmmmmmhmmmmm talk to me baby. Such a tease! Just give it to my Playstation 4 already!!

  • I wish you could send videos to a friend instead of youtube, sometimes I just want to share the video directly to them.

  • Would like to see some Google+ integration, though I’m sure I’m in the minority.

  • where’s my Spotify? :((

  • Any approximation on the size of the backups? I know every PS4 users will be different but I’m trying to figure out what size thumb drive would be adequate!

  • Thank you Sony for quickly turning around another upgrade. 2 features that I’d like to see sooner rather than later…

    1. Notification when my friends login. Don’t care about when they join a chat.
    2. The ability to host more than 8 people in a chat room. Your really pushing the social features of this generation of consoles. Some of us have a lot more than 8 friends. It would be nice if the chat supported up to 20 players.

  • yay. i was expecting an early april release; i’m glad it’s sooner than that.

i could have really used the trophy screenshot feature earlier: i was playing infamous first light and got a trophy while fetch was doing her super move in one of the battle arenas, and it would have been an awesome screenshot. oh well, i’ll never miss a moment like that again! i’m also holding off on a trophy so i can get a screenshot when i get it. is it tomorrow yet?

  • Some nice features, though I doubt I’ll ever use the social media and sharing functions.

Just please flip the switch that lets us play CDs and allows DLNA streaming. It’s getting pretty ridiculous that this amazing next-gen console, that’s fully capable of doing both, can’t. Heck, a $50 smart blu-ray player can do both…I just don’t want an extra device in my entertainment system set up just for that. Oh, and a blu-ray remote would be nice.

  • I had just bought a vita for the 60fps remote play support. Couldn’t have timed it better. Looking forward tomorrow!
