This month our PlayStation Plus members will receive two games free the day they release on PlayStation Store — Road Not Taken on PS4 and Metrico on PS Vita. In addition to these titles, members will receive other popular games like Fez on PS4, Crysis 3 and Proteus on PS3 and Dragon’s Crown on PS Vita.
PS4 owners can enjoy two puzzle games with very different mechanics. First up, there’s Road Not Taken, where you’ll aim to strategically maneuver through a forest as efficiently as possible with only a limited amount of stamina, all while saving lost children. Then you can don a fancy hat in Fez, as you jump around pixelated 2D levels housed in a 3D world. Shift your view of the landscape with the hit of a button and journey to find the pieces of a Hexahedron.
On PlayStation 3, Crysis 3 offers the sandbox first-person shooter world that made the franchise famous and there’s a new toy to play with – the Predator Bow. If you enjoy multiplayer, there’s a new mode here called Hunter where two players are pitted against a team of CELL agents with the goal of slowly turning all of them into fellow Hunters. Then, there’s the soothing experience of Proteus, where you’ll explore procedurally generated islands with a dynamic soundtrack.
Finally, PlayStation Vita owners will get their hands on the highly-anticipated puzzle-platformer Metrico and critically-acclaimed action RPG Dragon’s Crown. Traverse a world filled with infographics in Metrico, but don’t be fooled by the clean presentation – proceeding through these charts isn’t as straightforward as it might seem. Invite up to three friends to join you in the dungeons of Dragon’s Crown, and thanks to Cross-Play you can even go adventuring with your buddies who have PS3s.

instead of more garbage indies for PS4 how about just giving us a youtube and vevo app. maybe actually get PS home on ps4 cause sad to say it’s more fun than the indie trash we get monthly. I love sony to death but maybe they should have waited to put out PS4 til the games were available. or maybe if the apps and even the flash player worked half as well as my old PS3’s did. so much disappointment in a small box. less indies more apps we need to actually enjoy our consoles.

Well I got Crysis 3 weeks ago so that’s strike 2 for me (Dead Space last month was 1st), so I know how you guys feel when you post “Oh I got X game recently”.

I kinda agree a bit with the “Non AAA” games usually appearing but well Crysis 3 and Dragon’s Crown are not indies…

This is to the complainers:
It’s 6 games every month, some being cross buy. You pay $50 a year for it. That means AT MINIMUM you need to get AT LEAST $4.17 of CONTENT EVERY MONTH.
$4.17 x 12 = $50.04
Instead you get more like, a MINIMUM of like $20 of content, FOUR TIMES AS MUCH. Yet they STILL COMPLAIN!

I subscribed to PS Plus because of it’s great free games (at first). But everymoth they keep dissapointing me more and more. After this 2 month subscription left I think I won’t renew the membership.
Not at all impressed with the PS4 offerings. Another weak month for PS Plus members. If you are going to throw indie games down our throat at least make it even 3 indie’s and 3 solid AAA games each month.
Paying $60 dollars a year for ps+ Was iffy for me, but I realized that if I pay, I can get multiplayer on my ps4. I also realized that I am paying into getting free games. I can appreciate an indie game that ha been developed nicely and is overall really nice, such as warframe, or blr. But it comes a time when there are enough AAA games out there that Sony can start throwing them for free with an indie game such as killzone or bf4. I payed to get quality, not frustration. Hopefully September will finally have decent games. I am not pleased at all right now with these selections. Especially when I can get the original cod for $3 on PC and is better than any Indie game they’ve put up for free so far.
I can only hope for better.
Those of you complaining about the IGC’s mix of indies/cheap games in the line-up don’t understand how business works at all.
You clearly have no grasp on the concept of developing diversity inclusion – serving varying tastes to establish a vast and continually active consumer base. Nor do you understand finance management – balancing budgets/expenditures and meeting projections in the interest of survival.
The lack of knowledge in these areas is so blatant, yet you always come here to beat your chest like the program was designed with your personal desires in mind, like you’re a member of some elite club, or… like you’re some big shot industry insiders who somehow know better to do than the actual insiders… ;)

6 games per month x 12 months = 72 games. Who are the buffoons who believe they should get 72 AAA games for the cost of ONE? Seriously. Stand up and speak. Don’t be shy. Give me one good reason why a single payment of $50 should net you 72 AAA games, on top of the discounts and cloud storage you’re also getting. I’d love to hear your ridiculous explanation…

I appreciate craftsmanship in a game. I appreciate games that have great stories, I also appreciate indie games for what their worth. All I’m saying is that I would like some variation in the free games lineup since for the past 6-7 months it’s been nothing but indie games for ps4 users, so indie games have had their chance and throw in variety. And to say that 70 some free games for the price of one is what we’re expecting, that is not true for some if not most. I don’t have a ps3, or a ps vita, I have only the ps4, and I hope for a better selection next month.
Usually lackluster months, and while this isn’t perfect, it’s far better than usual. Vita is getting a lot of attention, finally. Crisis 3 is more trash, but I understand.

If you haven’t tried FEZ; give it a try, it’s an interesting game. Would like more AAA titles in igc, but i’d be happy with a decent plus sale.
Last month I lost plus, and had no plans to get it until something good came and you add dragon crown the exact game I was planning on buying. You’re back on track with worthwhile plus games.
I would have complained at first thinking we were only getting Crysis 3 and Proteus (which looks so bad) but we get Fez (which is OK) but also Dragon’s crown. As a PS3 only gamer currently. 4 games isn’t bad. Love Crysis series and haven’t had a chance to play 3 yet and have been wanting to try out Dragon’s Crown. So Dead Space 3 kept me happy last month and this month you gave me enough to wet my beak. Now just give us a few great sales for the end of the summer I got a chunk of cash burning a hole in my pocket but I need some good deals to burn it on.

Seriously, if it wasn’t required to play COD and BOF for PS4, plus would be completely useless, at this point PS4 owners should have at least gotten AC, Killzone, NFS, hell any launch title would be better than this indie crap we keep getting month after month, if things don’t start looking better in the coming months i won’t be renewing my subscription.

the value you get with PS Plus is really amazing.In the past year I paid about as much for PS plus as going to 3 movies in NYC, but instead of a few hours of entertainment, I got several hundred hours of entertainment!
More junk ps4 indie games. What did I buy this machine for huh? I swear I could buy a 1980’s nintendo and play similar junk at a cheaper price. Ps4 needs ps4 games made for it with its power. Stop with this shovel ware 1980’s junk. Didn’t pay 400 bucks for a ps4 to play stupid indies every solid month. Get with the program sony. Man this is annoying! Thank goodness Destiny will be here in Sept.. At least I’ll have something worth playing on my ps4. we had bunch of great games that could be on this list but instead we got some INDIE titles … i missed the time that i had PS3 and there were mind blowing free games ! like Infamous 2 and LBP 2 … i bought PLUS about a week ago … ( sadly i missed OUTLAST – DEADNATION etc. which i hope they put DeadNation and Outlast on sales … ) anyway i hope we see some real deals for next month ;)

Don’t understand the level of excitement shown for some of these games. Dragons crown is awesome, but if you own a vita and didn’t already own this, I’m surprised. Lol. Probably one of the most anticipated games for the system, and rightfully so. If you didn’t already have it, then this month is awesome just for that. Not trying to be a jerk, but proteus and metrico look especially boring.

not a bad month…. ; FEZ and Dragon’s Crown are definitely the games i’ll be playing, the one thing i don’t get is why don’t give us the opportunity to have EA Access?? im not into Madden and NHL, but maybe BF4 and Fifa could have some value to me; why not give us the chance to decide if we suscribe or not??

Im really thinking about getting rid of my playstation plus…..the past 3 months have been nothing but crap games…with the crap given to us Id much rather prefer the 5-10 PSN and Playstation One Classics they used to give out…now we get bottom of the barrel games that noone wants to even rent let alone buy….yet another dissapointing month
