This month our PlayStation Plus members will receive two games free the day they release on PlayStation Store — Road Not Taken on PS4 and Metrico on PS Vita. In addition to these titles, members will receive other popular games like Fez on PS4, Crysis 3 and Proteus on PS3 and Dragon’s Crown on PS Vita.
PS4 owners can enjoy two puzzle games with very different mechanics. First up, there’s Road Not Taken, where you’ll aim to strategically maneuver through a forest as efficiently as possible with only a limited amount of stamina, all while saving lost children. Then you can don a fancy hat in Fez, as you jump around pixelated 2D levels housed in a 3D world. Shift your view of the landscape with the hit of a button and journey to find the pieces of a Hexahedron.
On PlayStation 3, Crysis 3 offers the sandbox first-person shooter world that made the franchise famous and there’s a new toy to play with – the Predator Bow. If you enjoy multiplayer, there’s a new mode here called Hunter where two players are pitted against a team of CELL agents with the goal of slowly turning all of them into fellow Hunters. Then, there’s the soothing experience of Proteus, where you’ll explore procedurally generated islands with a dynamic soundtrack.
Finally, PlayStation Vita owners will get their hands on the highly-anticipated puzzle-platformer Metrico and critically-acclaimed action RPG Dragon’s Crown. Traverse a world filled with infographics in Metrico, but don’t be fooled by the clean presentation – proceeding through these charts isn’t as straightforward as it might seem. Invite up to three friends to join you in the dungeons of Dragon’s Crown, and thanks to Cross-Play you can even go adventuring with your buddies who have PS3s.

Oops…I said Wednesday because the Tuesday updates usually don’t appear until the afternoon, and by the time I get around to downloading them it’s the day after. I guess I’m a busy guy.
To bad the update to the store always comes so late in the day. Seriously can someone please tell me why that is?

They have every Plus game since the beginning, with very few exceptions (like when Mexico and the rest of Latin America have had different games). There’s also a link to the PAL (EU) list toward the bottom of the page.
Not sure if you have a PS4. I don’t, but I always use the web store to “reserve” the PS4 games for whenever I do get one.

I do not see free under crysis 3 on psn store. i am a ps plus member can anyone help me on this?
You know what? I’m sick and tired of feeling like I’m being punished for switching from Xbox 360 to Ps4. If the Ps4 were such advanced console, you’d think that the Ps Vita and Ps3 games would ALSO be available on the Ps4. Like seriously, I’m not trolling I’m just tired of this. Seeing games I want to play so bad and being stuck with **** like “Stick it to the Man.” It had good writing, but it just wasn’t fun to me. But seriously, its like this is set up to specifically punish those of us who switched because we don’t have all of their other consoles. It’s just frustrating. But to add insult to injury, games are cross compatible between Ps Vita, and Ps3? What the **** is that? So, they get three to four shared games a piece, and Ps4 still just gets two.
I know its a service that doesn’t even have to be offered, but if we don’t ***** about the things that don’t make sense, how could we ever hope this to improve.

the psn store has still not updated today, that is why you cant get crysis 3 for free yet. its best to just wait till tomorrow. the store always gets updated so late, they might as well say that the store updates on wednesdays.
…..Well its the fifth buy I can’t download any of these games yet. None of them are listed as free.

Just impulse-added Dead Space 3 from last month, so I can confirm it still works. Absolutely last chance for July’s games.
I would never recommend waiting this late to add IGC games, BTW. I just happen to be at the computer, and while I don’t even care about Dead Space 3…you never know.
A bit of an issue- I went onto my vita (I do have PSplus) to download dragons crown and it is telling me to pay full price.. What am I missing?

I like this month’s lineup been wanting to play Dragon’s Crown for some time. Never played a Crysis game before so i’ll give it a try Proteus and Road not taken look awesome.

@MijanPriestess Just be patient. You’ll eventually be able to download it, if you can’t they just haven’t updated the store yet.
@KingoftheKosmos: If it makes you feel any better, Velocity 2X is an example that had it’s own post earlier today. An example of a game made for PS4 and Vita but not PS3. Infamous Second Son and many others are PS4 exclusives. As a PS3-only guy, I could be upset by all of this. But I’m not. I’ll just have to wait and play those games when I do get a PS4. I’m sure it feels lousy right now with major releases being few and far between, but I expect that to change this holiday season.
PS3 releases will continue to decline and PS4 releases will continue to rise.

It’s 3:40 Eastern Time Zone and I’ve patiently been waiting and checking the ps store all day. I don’t like getting one update a month!! Bring back the weekly updates to ps plus!!

I was able to download this months free games on all systems. Had to go to new releases on ps3 to find. On ps4 when I clicked on ps plus July free games it took me to a page with the August games. Looks like Vita got Fez and Metrico but no Dragons Crown. This is a bummer as Dragons Crown was the only one I was looking forward too.

When I go on the psn store and pick the instant games collection box I see Fez and Metrico as free, but Dragon’s Crown isn’t.
Why is Dragons Crown still not listed as free?
Also, is it a store error? Last month I got to download Muramasa at like 3pm, and the store obviously updated to show fez and metrico as free.
Someone was either misinformed or someone jacked up the psn store update.

Dragon’s Crown (Vita) shows as $19.99, but when added to the cart the usual pop-up saying PS+ games only last for the duration of your subscription blahblahblah still pops up. It remains $19.99 no matter what though, so it’s like they are inbetween updating that.
I already had bought Dragon’s Crown on the PS3 months ago, which I thought was the reason I can’t get it on the Vita. The others having problems do not already own it on PS3, correct?

Dragon’s Crown is still showing up for $19.99 and when I click to add it to my cart it says its a PS Plus title, but then tells me I’m not elgible for either version! I was able to get all the other August titles that we get for free.
I know Dragon’s Crown is FREE, bcuz Atlus sent me an email advertising that it would be FREE for PS Plus Members. Sony Fix this issue!
Dragons Crown is the only game not showing up for free! Com’on sony fix it cause I really wanna play it on my PS3! And if anyone can’t find the other games that are supposed to be free, try searching for them on the playstation store it worked for me.
Also having an issue with Dragon’s Crown. The PS3 version shows up as $19.99. If I try to add it to the cart anyway, I get the message saying it’s free, but then I get the message “You are not eligible to purchase or download this content.”. I own the Vita version already, just trying to get the PS3 version.
I can also confirm that Dragons Crown is still showing up as 19.99 while all other titles, albeit having to use PC to actual queue them up, are free…

When trying to add dragons crown ps3 version to my cart I get a msg saying that I agree to the pa plus terms like it’s free but then an error message comes up? Is this a cross buy title and isn’t it free on both systems? I am currently dl it in my Vita.

Dragon’s Crown is Broken.
It won’t go into the Cart, all other Items work no problem.
Same issue with Dragon’s Crown, here. All the other games (with the exception of the indie titles that I refuse to download) worked fine in adding them to my cart.
I figure it will be fixed by this evening or tomorrow morning. Quite awesome that we get both the PS3 and the Vita versions. I love when that happens.
Update: It works doing it straight through the Vita, so hopefully when I get home to try it on PS3 it will work.

Also: The Purchase through the Vita shows up on The PC Store, however it does not Include the PS3 Version on the PC Store. That still shows as $19.99 and Says “You are not Eligible to Purchase or Download this Content”
