  • @BobMarcho: Sure you’re not looking at the PS3 version? Otherwise, I would have to think it’s a store error, for one of 3 reasons:

    1. Other Vita collections, haven’t been nearly that large. FFX & X-2 were only 6.6, Sly Trilogy 6.2, etc.
    2. They wouldn’t fit on a Vita card.. Or only one would, maybe.
    3. What someone said, on the EU blog: “When I bought the PS3 version i got the Vita games but they downloaded as three seperate games not one installation with three games, so on my Vita I’ve got ratchet and clank as 881mb, ratchet and clank 2 as 1160mb and ratchet and clank 3 as 1453mb. Hope this helps”

Still sucks, it’s digital only. But I don’t think it will be nearly as large, as you’ve said.

Why Sony can’t figure out, people won’t buy digital, when memory prices are such an absurd amount, is beyond me. I might just get the PS3 version, now. Whereas, if there was a physical version, or cheaper memory cards, I wouldn’t have to make that choice. Their loss, I guess..

  • @47 – the EU release of R&C also got a retail version, so yes it is possible. Unfortunately there is a serious bug with the second game that causes it to crash when loading planets and makes it unplayable. I can only assume that is the reason the collection is not available for retail in North America.

However, the EU release has definitely been given the preferential treatment that I can tell. They even got a blog post from Insomniac on it. I can only hope the collection actually comes out this week, and isn’t delayed again.

  • TLOU is finally back on PS4.

  • When is Helldivers coming?

  • @FJ1100_ the EU retail version has all the games on 1 cartridge. No code.

  • Ratchet digital + WRC4 digital = no sale.

  • Lets just hope Ratchet for vita comes out as retail a little later. If not, I’m not getting it, since im not gonna spend 40 bucks on the 16Gb card

  • Why no Physical Copy for Ratchet?

  • Are we ever going to get a digital release for Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (PS2)? I’ve been waiting on this one since Castlevania: Lament of Innocence was put on the PSN.

  • @58 The funny thing about Castlevania: Curse of Darkness not being on PSN is that the official Twitter account of KONAMI NA was spamming with links to Twitch streams from that game. But hey, this is KONAMI NA we’re talking about. About two years ago, they’ve replied to Suikoden 2 on PSN requests with a tweet saying they care and showing an official artwork from Suikoden 2. It’s 2014 and we’re still waiting for it be make a comeback as a simple PS1 Classic.

  • *to be making

  • What time are the digital downloads for TLOU gonna be available?

  • The attach rate on vita is crazy high…people that own vitas want to buy lots of games. As an example I have 22 games not including ps+ games that I bought NEW, not used. There’s a thread on GAF that shows 150+ games coming for the console. Probably at least 75% of them are going to be digital.

It makes no sense for sony to leave memory cards at their current price and capacities. The gb per card needs to go up, and dollar per gb needs to come down. Or else sales WILL be lost.

  • @ Mando44646 on July 27th, 2014 at 10:41 am said: “I’ll buy TLOU for a reasonable price. $50 for a year old game is totally unacceptable and plain greedy.”

Did you even stop to think about the actual value of what’s being included? They’ve got both map packs @ $9.99 each, the Left Behind DLC which is another $14.99 and the Grounded Mode DLC which is another $4.99. That’s $40 of DLC that is included on the disc for the PS4 release, as well as every other piece of DLC being cross-buy between PS3 and PS4. On top of the game looking better and running at a higher frame rate, $50 for all of this is an AMAZING value. It’s not just “a year old game”. Expecting to get all this content for pennies is totally unacceptable and plain greedy.

  • Rogue Legacy? If there’s a Rogue anything to but then remake Rogue Galaxy. Also Dragon Quest 8 and Dark Cloud 2. You can remake Last of Us which came out recently but can’t remake ps2 games? Pffft….Like everyone else says, the memory card problem needs to be addressed.

  • Rogue Legacy can consider itself bought.

  • Please lower the prices on the memory cards, PLEASE!!!!

  • Why can’t we have an upgrade option for TLoU spent $90 on the game already now you want $50 to play content I already own on another system.

I would’ve payed $20 even $30 for an upgrade but $50 no way. Whichexplains why Sony games don’t sell as well as M$ exclusives one side listens to its customers and fanboys/girls the other doesn’t.

  • why did you guys take down my post criticizing TLoU pricing it wasnt vulgar or anything

  • M$ doesn’t remove comments comparing themeselves to their competitors so why take down my comment.

All I said was M$ exclusives sell better because they listen to their consumers you don’t see them trying to get $200 bucks for a Halo collection.

  • So, any more PSP or PSone Classics coming to Vita this week?

  • Boy, I can’t wait for Phantom Breaker

not like it’s “featured” here anyway

  • R&C Collection being digital only is utter b/s. Stop being garbage Sony.

@50: R&C COllection is retail on Vita in Europe. So, it’s obviously not too big. Besides, Sony should stop being dumb and make 8GB game cards, but they’re asshats so they won’t.

  • I’m ALL over that rogue legacy game with some TLOU next generation

I just started working there and I believe my manager said yes you do get 50% of the PS4 version if you trade your PS3 version in.

  • Finally, WRC 4 comes to USA, can’t wait to play it !

  • Ryan may I suggest that maybe talk with some folks and figure if you can put the Prices on the Drop? That way people know how much they will need on games especially if they are digital Only.

  • Wow, Ratchet and Clank is digital only. I don’t have any space left on my memory card, was looking forward to playing it too.

  • @Elvick_: Yeah, I know. I was just pointing out the reasons, why I didn’t think it would be anywhere near 13 GB. According to that user on the EU blog, the total size would only be about 3.5 GB. Easily fitable on a Vita card. :)

  • @DamagingRob: Yes, I believe your logic is realistic in a way that the game would be around 3.5 GB if not more. However, I might be mistaken in saying the game would be around 13 GB since ps3 version is only 11.3 GB, but lets just keep our hopes up. Not sure if I saw something else on the eu store when it said the R+C for vita is 12.8 GB, I don’t know, maybe my eyes are deceiving me, we’ll just see when the store updates this Tuesday.

  • According to Reddit the Ratchet and Clank downloads work out to:

    Ratchet & Clank: 869MB
    Ratchet & Clank 2: 1.1GB
    Ratchet & Clank 3: 1.4GB

Call it 3.5 GB to be on the safe side. Not a ridiculous file size at all, and you don’t have to put all three games on your memory card at once.

And for those of you saying you don’t have room on your memory cards, you know you can use Content Manager to back stuff up to your computer, right? Makes juggling games quite easy.

  • PrimeroIncognito

    @ AizawaYuuichi

    Exactly.

Anytime you see someone calling a company “greedy”, it’s usually that person who is the greedy one.

    Psychological projection and all that…

@DamagingRob, @djsaiyan: Yes, “AlphaGamer” on Reddit stated that the games add up to 3.5 GB or 12.8 GB as it was seen on the eu store, so no my eyes aren’t deceiving me. My belief is that it was a store error when I saw a file size of 12.8 GB since the majority have said it is exactly 3363MB, the first game being the smallest.

  • I couldn’t wait for WRC4 or Ratchet and Clank Collection…Imported them both!…All 3 R&C games are on 1 cart!

  • There is no physical release for the Ratchet and Clank collection because once you find out it’s another crappy vita port you won’t be able to return it. And no it won’t be cross buy.

  • @BobMarcho: Yeah, with EU having a physical release, I figured it probably wouldn’t be more than 4 GB, since that’s all the cards can hold. So, that’s what I was implying, when I said they wouldn’t fit on a card, if they were 12.8 GB. BUT, we won’t know for sure, until Tuesday, like you say.

  • to #78 that is nothing both my ninja gaiden games combined are over 5 gigs , the thing is Europe is saying it is 13 gigs for the digital over there , that’s what every one is *****ing about .

  • Can’t wait to replay TLOU but now on PS4! Still waiting for Duke Nukem on Vita tho :3 Bring Shadow Warrior Classic Redux, DOOM 1 & 2 to Vita as well!!!

  • 16 days until DIABLO III on PS4 and no pre-order option? How about add pre-order this Tuesdayand pre-download option 7 days before the game release date. #GOSONYGO #ThisIsNextGenAlready @yosp :) ?

  • Need to release #suikoden2
    Get on it.

  • I am wondering why this game does not have the pre-load option like some other games before it. Is there any particular reason why?

  • What about Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment?! It said it was coming in July, and this is the last Tuesday ._.?

  • OK. Let me get this straight… Farming Simulator, a small title that few people were waiting for, is getting a physical release on the Vita… But Ratchet & Clank collection, which is a major franchise from Sony, a title that so many fans were waiting for, isn’t.

    WHAT. THE. HELL?

SCEA seems more and more disconnected with its Vita fan base… I mean, I’m really curious about the reasoning behind the decision to not release it physically… Probably some suit somewhere that don’t know a thing about games saw an excel spreadsheet showing that R&C into the Nexus didn’t sold that well and so thought that this one wouldn’t either…

    That’s depressing…

  • Did Phantom Breaker on the Vita get delayed or something? I have been looking forward to it for awhile.

  • I’m probably the only person here who cares, but what happened to Jet Car Stunts? They had said it comes out in July, and I haven’t seen anything.

  • chris_giordano95

Rogue Legacy is already pre-loaded on my Vita, just waiting to be played, but it’ll definitely have to wait considering The Last of Us comes out on Tuesday. I already pre-ordered it and am preparing myself for days upon days of sitting on my ass, basking in its glory.

  • Sad. No Vita demos again.

  • any idea how much WRC 4 — FIA World Rally Championship and ratchet & Clank Collection will go for?

  • What happened to Phantom Breaker on vita?

  • Meh, I give up. They’re never gonna get Breath of Fire 3 on the store.
