Update: An earlier headline for this post stated that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming to PS Vita, which was incorrect. Type-0 is coming to PS4 in North America and Europe.
I’d like to start this out by thanking everyone who let us know how badly you wanted this game to come to North America. Ever since the original PlayStation Portable release in Japan, you guys have never given up on it, raising your voices in an effort to see this title come to North America and Europe. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s coming and it’s going to be in HD.

One much much more effective way to make our voice heard would be to have an article on the gamesites…as a headline:
“Vita disappointed by sony over E3 press conference”
or
“Vita gamers angry at SE over FFtype0 finally skipping their console”
This kind of headlines would for sure have a serious impact.

Uhm yes and no.
Journalists are normal people just like us, their vote counts only as 1…. just like us.
IGN doesn’t care, Eurogamer doesn’t even noticed news… btw. on Eurogamer I found articles about Type-0 coming to VITA from 2011 lol…. the funny thing they were so close, they even were almost done with localization… and than decided to abandon it.
But if we made huge project… the press would have to write about it! That would make more sense to me. But that’s just my humble opinion, mkay?
The worst in this news is that obviously, it will be a remaster HD like Peace walker on PS3…. meaning a resolution and texture upgrade with low poly decor and high poly characters…. Nothing more than that…
They could easily release it on vita…they just dont want to for any reasons…

Square Enix, you said that you have listened the community for FF Type 0 but it’s wrong. This is the handled community which claimed FF type 0 on PSP and Vita since several years. After Drakengard 3 people in EU are mad as hell at SE.
1. Normal edition just Digital with crazy high price
2. You can buy collector physical edition with nice box, novelle and juicy bonus…. but without physical game (only digital)… yes collector edition without game (2k copies only)
3. They still didn’t upload patch to Drakengard (that was already uploaded in US) so the game is unplayable (for those who bought it on PSN)

I’m very disappointed this isn’t coming out on the Vita. It’s a portable game! I bought a Vita last november for tearaway and so far it’s collecting dust mostly. Please bring this game to the Vita, Sony.

I think fans can tolerate more if they don’t even announce FFT0 localization as we all know SE’s ignorance towards western audience but the hell is when they troll us (sony portable gamers) with PS4 & even Xbone FFT0 localization which I bet it wont happen for the next 2 years….just like FFX HD

You’ve got my support, many great ideas in the comments, through the different #s, YouTube videos, etc. Let Sony know PS Vita gamers deserve better treatment. They deserve to be treated like real customers, true gamers. In regards to Type 0, it was Vita/PSP gamers enthusiasm that kept the dream alive. Square Enix, this was not the way to go about this at all. Errors in communicating or not. This version could have came later I feel. I would have preferred Type 0 HD + Agito HD for Vita and Agito for iOS/Android first, then PS4/Xbox One release a year later with some extra polish. I would have double dipped happily, which would be extra money for you guys easily. Throw in the money I’d have spent on a limited edition from your store…
Hope you see what kind of purchasing power the fanbase has.

I’m so disappointed the Vita announcement was just a mistake, It would have been a day one purchase in my case, but since I have no PS4, I won’t be buying it.
I also spoke to them, but nobody wants to write)))) Guys let’s start to throw the whole bunch of them with our requests! And they can be heard))))))
All along Vita owners were the ones asking for this and in the end SE didnt even have the decency to add PS Vita as one of the platforms they are porting. To make the things worse they actually posted it was coming for Vita exclusively and then just completely ditched it. This is really one of the biggest mess up ive ever seen.

This whole fiasco with Vita makes me sad. I’ve got two Vitas (and about 6 PSPs in my collection), the first one was bought in Japan in december 2011 for almost 800$USD with the 32gb memory card, and I even import japan games (or double dip like with Project Diva games). If a game comes in both PS3 or Vita versions – I buy a vita one, even if it lacks some quality (or even an entire game like with MGSHD). And now Sony spits in my face and calls my precious handheld console an “extender”. How am I supposed to feel? :(
What Sony is trying to pull here is ridiculous. I didn’t spend all that freaking money for a streaming device.

this is one shock news . i’ve been waiting the type-O to come out in vita version. and this news are very disappointing for me. .
even thought i have PS 4 , i wouldnt consider this on my shop list. i rather play PSP Versiion who been translated by fan instead buying this game just for PS4. man PS4 got FFXV allready . + they will have Kingdom hearts in the future. give the vita a breath man. if i know things like this will happen . i probably wouldnt buy vita. because i still believe in sony and vita . that vita will able to raise from the death just like psp .

You know what is also weird?
That they don’t do anything at all! They just let “hate” grow bigger and bigger and bigger without even trying to control it. And trust me there is nothing as dangerous as black PR for gaming industry. They just let people destroy their own company’s good image (in EU not so great anymore, but that wasn’t the case with US)… it is weird! They were working for so long to create their own image as a company that existed for gamers…. and just in few minutes they destroyed it! And it is Japanese company… and we all know that “losing one’s face” is huge dishonor for Japanese people
If I were working for Square-Enix as soon I would notice that fans are trying to rebel…. I would just say “Hold on people! I think that we should reconsider it at SE! We will talk about it, so hold your fingers crossed”… even if they wouldn’t plan to release game after… they could just wait until people turn the main attention to other games/events.
