Update: An earlier headline for this post stated that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming to PS Vita, which was incorrect. Type-0 is coming to PS4 in North America and Europe.
I’d like to start this out by thanking everyone who let us know how badly you wanted this game to come to North America. Ever since the original PlayStation Portable release in Japan, you guys have never given up on it, raising your voices in an effort to see this title come to North America and Europe. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s coming and it’s going to be in HD.

Btw , I would not buy type – o if they release it on ps4. u can go **** yourself to think that i would buy it, because my LG G2 have 60FPS to play type o [Fan Translated] just fine. rather use the money to buy other game than this crap. #novitanobuy

for the vita community, we were very vocal about wanting this game. no one else ask for this game to be a ps4 and xbone port
we were the ones raising awareness of this game, since sony ask what game we would like to see for the vita. this is a failure for

this is just a huge disappointment. Nobody would mind to have a PS4 version of the game, the more access a game hase the better, but this is just ridicioulus. It is a PSP game, so a Vita version would make so much sense! I mean the FFX HD versions for Vita and PS3 coexist nicely, so why not do the same here. This is a game that could have been on all Playstation platforms, I mean it ALREADY EXISTS ON PSP. So it runs on basesically everything we have today.

I can not believe how incompetant the people at square enix are. If they did listen to the fans, the majority of those fans wanted the game on the vita. Heck i bet only 1 person asked for a xbox one version. I will not buy the console version in hope that square realizes their mistake.
The fans should unite and get Sony to do a port because the people at square enix do not care for their fans. The blog itself shows that a monkey could do a better job managing square enix.

Even namco bandai gave us the choice to play one piece on the ps vita, ps4, wii u, and 3ds. Square enix really has some problem that needs to be addressed and it is not only concerning this game. It has spans from the last 7 years or so.

Sony is surprised that they cant sell console in US and EU. Next they present us on E3 only indie games. Japan have more interesing lineup so there Sony can sell more Vita. They must announce new games AAA. They talking about Remote Play. I have ps4 and psv but if i can i play on ps4. Biggest screen and better control. I repaeat they must developing new ex and multplatform game AAA for PS Vita :/

This has me very excited to see this on the PS4.
The home consoles have been hurting in recent years for good RPGs so I’m always glad to see it.
I had thought we’d never get to see this game, ever, in English. Thank you for bringing it over, this will be a day 1 buy for me.

I’m glad to be buying a Wii U this season. Seems SCEA hates my Vita. I’ll buy Type-0 day one if it goes to Vita. I’m against digital only as well, but I’d happily dip on this game in digital format.
I just bought FFX HD for the vita, i’m impressed over the quality of the conversion! when the news of a vita version of the type 0 HD appeared i shout a big YES! (even thorough i’m from brazil) and then, it was a mistake…
I know this was just an honest mistake but seeing how much love (not!) sony has shown for the vita on the E3 presentation i really think they just don’t care anymore! well, at least the suport from the indie community is really great! love you guys!

I wanted this game portable because that’s when I have time and energy to play it. I can’t justify buying a console for this and then having to make time to sit down and play it,
I guess the money of Vita owners means nothing. And that’s sad.
Sony, just a small hint. You need *games* to sell Vitas – especially from major properties like Final Fantasy. The Vita is failing and its completely your fault. Generally a lackluster game lineup, no support, and vastly overpriced memory cards are all part of your poor decision making. You want to know what I’d do? Fire whatever sad excuse for a marketing team that the Vita has and replace them with people who actually know how to advertise and promote the Vita. I have never once seen a Vita ad online or on TV. EVER. Is it that hard to get that promotion is important for success?

Adding my two cents to the mix and hoping to help hit 1,000 comments.
SqaureEnix seems to hate two things – Sony portables and money. Bring Crisis Core and Birth By Sleep to the PS Store (and Vita)! Release a portable game on a portable system! Both seem like no-brainer cash cows, yet they waste all their time on stuff that seem to piss off fans by design.
I Got to agree, what you guys did (Sony/Square Enix) was really messed up. It’s pretty much the equivalent of slapping us ALL in the face. #NoVitaNoBuy

Come on. Square Enix, Sony. Look at all the backlash you’ve caused. Come forth and acknowledge it. Don’t just ignore this, speak to us. Tell us what is going on. Apologise to the Vita owners who you’ve given zero hope to in the biggest gaming event of the year. The biggest gaming event of the year and not a single Vita exclusive was shown. Then this Type-0 debacle. Stop ignoring the fans.
Do something about this. I’m rapidly losing respect for both Square Enix and Sony PlayStation at this point. Give me a reason not to.
So PSP and Vita owners petition and create awareness of this game for years, hyping it up and begging for it to come west. And how do you reward this fan loyalty? By giving you nothing. Wow, I can’t believe they did that to you guys…what a kick in the teeth.
Really wish Sony didn’t abandon the little device because of a rough start, things could be so much different. Look at how Nintendo was able to turn the 3DS around into a juggernaut and start getting the Wii U back on track by not throwing it under the bus.
I can’t fathom the logic that would lead a company to remaster a console game and release it on a newer console and a portable, then remaster a portable game and only release it on a console.
If this was on Vita, I’d buy it. On PS4? Sorry, I’d rather have console games like DAi, Witcher, or Shadow of Mordor than upgraded last-gen portable games.

I would be more impressed if the english patch for the psp version didn’t come out just a few days ago.
I love my Vita, though I may be disappointed that they didn’t announce anything new at E3 for it, i have to disagree that the Vita is dead.
Games are coming to Vita, although not as often as the new PS4 since as Sony said, “It’s not very profitable business-wise”.
Gravity Rush 2, Freedom Wars, Project Phoenix, Mighty No.9, Helldivers? There’s still something to look forward to people and its wiser to believe in your handheld than defamate it.
True that they put the wrong game in the wrong console, but I don’t think that’s entirely Sony’s fault as it is SquareEnix’s decision as well. That doesn’t mean the end of the world for the Vita.
