The makers of The Walking Dead episodic game series return with their latest efforts in player-driven narrative. Prepare yourself for The Wolf Among Us, a five-episode series that debuts this Tuesday.
Set in the Fables comic universe, The Wolf Among Us tasks you with making critical choices as Bigby Wolf — former monster and now Sheriff of Fabletown, a world where the creatures of myth and lore live very real lives in our world. Your decisions in The Wolf Among Us will shape the story as you work to unravel a brutal murder of a fellow Fable. How will you guide the course of this violent, hard-boiled thriller?
For those of you interested in a new JRPG adventure, Valhalla Knights 3 is also ready to launch, offering a massive quest set in a fantasy prison, where tyrannical minds and warrior criminals vie for control and — in many cases — survival.
And here’s a little bonus: God of War: Ascension is making its way to PlayStation Store as a complete digital download. Bring Kratos back onto the battlefield. It’s a good fit for him.
For a complete list of the games and demos joining the PlayStation family this week, check below. And enjoy the Drop!
The gaming phenomenon lives on as Angry Birds Trilogy comes to PS Vita. Face your porcine adversaries in 19 episodes, and enjoy dozens of hours of play with new content and updated visuals.
Travel to the African wilds for a wild and dangerous hunt. Seek out the Big Five: lion, leopard, white rhinoceros, Cape buffalo, and elephant. Explore an open world and uncover new hunting zones and collectibles.
Immerse yourself in the experience of being a jockey. Learn how to use the horse’s reins, shift your character’s body weight, and ride to the finish. Understand each horse’s unique rhythm, stamina, and racing style.
Kratos, the legend with a blood-soaked past, storms back onto PS3 in this visually-enthralling prequel. God of War: Ascension is now coming to PlayStation Store as a digital download. Prepare to unleash the burning fury of vengeance.
The Kaiju approach! Suit up and roll out in the ultimate war machines, the Jaegers, to battle this terrible threat to all of humanity. Experience the thrill of piloting a Jaeger, as seen in del Toro’s hit film.
The renowned Skylanders series continues with Swap Force. Wield the power of new Skylanders that can swap powers by switching out the tops and bottoms of their figurines, and then take them into battle to save the Skylands.
A unique JRPG set in a sprawling prison, complete with its own society and government. Enter the prison and participate in group battles, tackling quests and traversing the dangers of a criminal den that will make or break you.
Climb back into the hotseat and play classic Millionaire for a chance at a digital fortune. This new version of Millionaire comes with both solo and multiplayer challenges. Expand your experience with packs that add hundreds of new questions into the mix.
Fill the big, bad shoes of Bigby Wolf, and work to uncover the truth behind a brutal murder in Fabletown. Based on the Fables comics, The Wolf Among Us puts the choice in your hands. Shape the story of this hard-boiled thriller as you play.
Glad to see god of war digital. Might pick it up now, also happy to see demos for a few of those titles. Its amazing the impact a demo has on selling a game. Pics/video only go so far. Demos make sales for me plenty of times.
valhallaValhalla knights, have to check that out. Always up for a good jrpg to suck away my time.
iI have to rant though…music unlimited, iI would really like some attention to detail. The screensaver on ps3 kills me, 5 minutes to turn on and EVERYTHING interrupts it. Please add a much shorter timer. 10-30seconds or something, under a minute would be nice. I hatethe having to have my notifications off to use it effectively
Ryan, you forgot to mention about Zen Pinball 2 >> Star Wars Pinball: Darth Vader Table

“Zen Studios pays tribute to the Dark Lord of the Sith in a special Darth Vader tribute pinball table, releasing next week on PlayStation Store for PS3 and PS Vita (cross buy) in the new Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force pack. You can download the tables in Zen Pinball 2, or in the standalone Star Wars game for $9.99.”
The purpose of the Drop is primarily to discuss the new games, demos, and betas that are coming. Not necessarily DLC, which is why there was no mention of those tables.
They generally don’t include DLC in The Drop. But I agree that major DLC expansions perhaps ought to be mentioned.
Any word on if a season pass for Wolf Among Us will be made available this week? Would love to pre-pay for the whole season while the “spend 50, get 10” deal is active this month!
ditto. glad to see so much activity. but…i dont feel like my post was read and replied to entirely. i commented on music unlimited about something i see wrong with it. still love it. still using it, not trying to be a jerk. but, a thanks for commenting on it…makes me feel it was just glazed over. i expected a more, ‘we’ll look into what we can do but i cant make any promises’ kind of reply.
not upset here, just seemed odd.
also, @thecontroller92 post 4, ReAlLy?? going to go check that out right now. build some hype for tuesday when i might be buying 3. wish it had a demo, but might be getting it regardless.
So, maybe in the future consider to just mention a simple list of games is going to recieve new expansions in the droop of the week…
Like this (fake example): “Stay alert in new expansions for the games: – LBP, Soul Sacrifice, God Of War , ……….. Zen Pinball 2,… xxx, xxx”
I think is a valid suggestion, because, perhaps the list of new games in the especific week, is not interesting for some people, but the expansions of the games perhaps is!
Hi can u provide any info on an upcoming Halloween sale?
Will it have any psp or vita games for sale?
Furthermore any psx or ps2 classics coming soon to psn?
While I like the new format, you guys need to do a better job of putting the image of the game next to the proper description. All you got to do is take the time to adjust the image length to match the description length of the corresponding game.
You’ll notice those cards are Playstation Network cards, and not console specific. They can be used on anything on the Sony Entertainment Network digital store (including movies!). There is absolutely zero reason they won’t work on the PS4 as well.
Any chance we will get the Wolf Among Us on Vita, as I rarely have time to play my ps3. Also, I would like to know status of Bioshock, Final Fantasy X, Snapshot, Final Fantasy Agito, God Eater 2, Lord of Apocalypse, Freedom Wars, Gravity Rush 2, Monster Hunter G, Phantasy Star Nova, Toukiden coming to US Vita market and which dates.
Also I would like Vita Tv stateside release as it would be awesome to stream to my bedroom ps4 games.
Also to get high US sales and to better utilize the 3rd party Vita team bring these games to Vita: Final Fantasy Agito, Resident Evil Revelations, GTA 5, Dark Souls 2, Assassin Creed Liberation 2, Uncharted 2, Syphon Filter Vita, Metal Gear Portable OPS HD Vita version, Ratchet Into the Nexus, Gran Turismo Vita,REAL COD Ghosts Vita, Saints Row 4, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Resident Evil 6. I guarantee you started bringing these games out to Vita you will get sales. Also nintendo’s video direct (hint, hint) is great at talking about 3ds developments and upcoming games that Vita currently struggles with (for instance I have no idea whats coming out for vita after I buy Tearaway).
I think Xseed could probably port some of those Japan only games as well.
Does anybody who works at the PS blog know basic HTML code? Why don’t the pictures align with the game titles? It’s kind of embarrasing for a big company like Sony to have had this problem for the last few weeks.
Might have eventually got Angry Birds Trilogy on Vita if it were retail, the digital sales will undoubtably be total crap like the PS3 version. So it’ll remain a huge ripoff for all time.
I’m on the fence with Vahalla Knights 3. Looks fun but also odd a bit.
I’ll get it physical if I buy it. Maybe a sale. Still looking forward to Injustice and Y’s for the Vita.
Ok I need to know how much exactly The Wolf Among Us is going to be. Is there going to be a season pass that includes everything for like 15 or 20 bucks? Or do you have to buy the first episode then buy the season pass. Thanks in advance!
I do not really care for the new format. The pictures are not very revealing, and the game excerpts do not give much of a clue.
Especially for a media marketing website.
Sorry,………. not to hurt feeling.
*Persona 4 has been keeping me at it, reletlessly pressing buttons for hous to spam the same music and mobs. But, at least it has been interesting, although I probably should have waited for a better sale.*
This may not be the right place for this comment. But id really love to see FTL brought to the Vita. Hotline Miami and Spelunky were great starts, and looking forward to Rogue Legacy. But FTL with some touch controls on the vita would be a match made in heaven.
Drop it like it’s hoooooot…
oh~ those drops they look lovely thx! :3
Why thank you. ^_^
