I think that some of you guys are making this out to be way more that it is. The store was late to update. Ok , it happens. The bus sometimes arrives late, walmart says that their dvds will be released on Tuesday, dilevery got delayed, you have to wait till it arrives, another day, mike truck delivers milk every thursday, there was traffic en route, they deliver the milk the next day and so on and so on…Get over yourselves. I guess some of you forgot that the store used to be updated on Thursdays…….Heres an Idea for some of you.
Train your mind that the store updates on WEDNESDAY’s.
Turn on your ps3 on wed morning and you will not be dissapointed.

For example, when I buy an app on my iPhone it takes me less than a minute to get into the app and use it. It should be like this for the PS Store but no you guys need to get a job elsewhere. I’m sorry.

@201 – A company says they will update “Tuesday” so we have to retrain our brains to interpret that as “Wednesday”? That sounds pretty silly, especially when no other console has this problem. I really hope PS4 is easier for Sony to deal with.
@202 – This isn’t about 1 update. They are habitually late with updates and never effectively communicate with the PS3 community when it happens. Those are facts, not ‘rage’.
EPIC FAIL OF UPDATES,CRASH BANDICOOT AND SPYRO FOR VITA
I don’t know what is worse, the super delayed store update or your screw up on last months promo. I am missing money I should have gotten. I have contacted live chat, emailed, had to call support twice, and still no resolution. In fact, I am supposed to keep calling back all because someone can’t add. I only got $10 back when I spent over $150 from Feb 26th to march 31. I should have gotten $30 back, not $10. Do I get any compensation for my missing sales last week? No. What about the fact my total amount will be quite possibly over a week late? I doubt it. Nice customer service you have going on here. You are about to lose a lifelong customer soon if I don’t see a resolution soon that makes me happy.

PSN store has been out for years now, kinda crazy how no one can keep a consistent maintenance/update and get it rolled out on time. I know PSN is free, but come on guys. Game releases come out on Tues, some people might want to buy it digital you know. This just leaves a bad taste in people’s mouth and weary or not to even go with the PS4 now.

Yes, Sony is a company that needs to follow on what they say, and deliver. They didn’t deliver yesterday, but does that warrant us consumers receiving free credit, or Plus memberships? No.

Late update, but totally worth the wait. Everyone needs to support Muteki and buy Dragon Fantasy. Amazing value with cross buy and a PS+ discount. Thanks to Sony for continuing to support indie devs. The Spring Fever line up this year is fantastic.

What you might not have gotten used to, however, is the PlayStation Store, specifically the new iteration that was designed to fix all of the problems of the old version, but is somehow exponentially worse in almost every respect. And you very well might never get used to the fact that – for six years running — Sony can’t update the PlayStation Store at a consistent time. Ever.
When you combine the subpar nature of the new PlayStation Store with the PlayStation Network’s well-known series of deficiencies and the company’s seeming inability to fix the issues at hand for a period of time approaching seven years, you have a serious problem. Compounding this is Sony’s inability to communicate well with its consumers, which is strange, because Sony depends on those consumers to sustain their enterprise, and the patience of those consumers – which was heavily stressed back in 2011 — is starting to bend significantly once again.
Another disappointing update. Not surprised though. There hasn’t been a decent update for a while now.
The only thing I’m remotely interested in is that Dragon Fantasy Book I. I may have to check that out once I get some extra money.
Ignoring these issues, pretending like there’s nothing wrong with not updating the Store on a consistent basis and not communicating constantly with your most cherished consumers simply isn’t acceptable. The people who wait for the Store to update are the same people who support PS Vita, who buy dozens of games a year, who evangelize the PlayStation brand. They deserve better than a situation where the only consistency is inconsistency.

I bought the PS Plus 3 month subscription and when and when It left several days to finish off the automatic renewal but the next day that my subscription expired had been renewed. just happened today and it was for the same reason
How hard can it be to send a few Tweets out to allay the fears of your customers or to conjure up a PlayStation Blog post apologizing for the delays and explaining the causes for them in-depth to the users? How hard can it be to be forward-facing, consumer-first and consistent?
I’m not the only Platinum Trophy-chasing, Vita-loving, PS3-embedded gamer in the world. There are millions of us. So toil away and fix the problems, Sony, but talk to us while you do.

I agree with you that the rage and childish comments are out of line, but I disagree with your stance on Sony’s hand in it.
Both of their major console competitors have the ability to update at a consistent time (I said consistent, not at X o’clock 100% of the time), so it is possible to do. Combine that with a lousy three tweets over about a 24 hour period (again, because they have never shown an ability to update by X o’clock, we have to guesstimate when they intend to), that is terrible customer service.
Not to mention, there are people here who want to give PSN their money. There are people on here who wanted to buy Injustice digitally. They already can’t have it at midnight like a physical disc would be, and then they lose almost 36 hours to people who were smart enough to go to Gamestop last night, in a MP game, that is a massive difference.

It’s been SEVEN years, and this is the best they can do? I run a buisness myself, how long could I last operating under these parameters? This would be an embarrassing effort for a mom n pop store, this is unthinkable for a worldwide company who purport to be the leading edge of digital content.
I agree, I long ago gave up on Tuesday updates, best case scenario it happens near my bedtime, but Sony is the one running around talking about Day 1 digital, it is therefore incumbent upon them to deliver it. Not perfect, not 100% of the time, but the current efforts, even setting aside this week, is beyond unacceptable.
It is not acceptable for us to call for Morgan’s job, or be jerks, but it is within our rights as consumers to vocalize our opinions, it is our money they want.

Any chance we will see new (release) avatars on PStore? also some cool free avatars and themes on PS+? I’ve noticed that PS+ has not been getting any good themes and avatars for quite awhile.
I’d like to see some Injustice avatars to make it on PStore! I want to use a Nightwing avatar, oh yeah!
@207, my point is, this is the real world that we live in. things happen. No company is perfect. gamers pay for xbl service and that was down for over 24 hrs just a few days ago. I pay $10 per month for my blockbuster movies in the mail and almost all the time the delivery date on the website is incorrect with the day I actually receive the dvd. is it blockbusters fault? is it the post office? is it the weather? who knows, but again, things happen man. If gamers are so wound up about the store being updated late on tuesdays, go do something else. go clean your basement, do some diishes, play some uncharted 3 multiplayer, heck go outside and get some fresh air. but I guarantee you if you stop sitting at your computer refreshing your screen every 2min on tuesday, and just start checking the psn updates on weds, we will see less raging comments from YOU……
I remember when PS stated the new web based store would run faster and they would be able to update everything a LOT easier and faster. WTF happened to that?

Disagree, Sony are the ones advertising Day One digital and Tuesday updates, it falls upon them to honor their words. Anyone could have gone to Gamestop or Best Buy Tuesday at 12AM and bought Injustice, those who intentionally tried to give Sony their money directly were forced to wait 36 hours. Even if you set aside this week, on average the store updates at around 6-7 PM EST, everyone else has had their physical media for 18 hours by then.
Sony are the ones making this process harder, not us. They purposely moved updates to Tuesday so that they could advertise Day One digital, yet they fail to deliver what their competitors deliver, I want Sony to be better than this, I want them to thrive and be around, it dissapoints me when they repeatedly decline money.
@223 how many time has sony been late for update oncce ,twice out 7 yrs? .. the store use update with nothing when it 1st started.. It use to be on Thursday and we mostly got nothing becuase the store was so new.. The psn was never really for retail game or day 1 but fr in house indy devs games.. If your going voice a ign reporter.. then tell him get off his back side and run a digital network across the usa and get the games ready to purchased every week and everyone’s beck and call of choice .. tell him do that 1st before the preaching begins of what some should do please his desires

@222. I do agree with your comments. 90%. I also managed a starbucks coffee, so I have great experiences with managing people, money, deliveries from many vendors. and my experience is that its never perfect. Yes we deserve the best service from sony for our continued loyal support as gamers, but as a consumer that has been on both sides of the fence, I understand that everything will never go smoothly, you just have do your best to manage the situation.
But again I state, if gamers are going to continue coming to the blog on tuesdays and raging for 7000+ posts, change your regiment. do all of your downloading on another day. 1 day not playing a game or DEMO will not kill you.
I dont mind the update to be late !! But what happend to this: EPIX will be offering a new movie every week that PlayStation Plus members can stream for free, even if they aren’t a subscriber. Not bad, eh?

Answer me just this ONE question: Officially, per Sony, what time is that the store updates?
I ask because you are saying they are late “twice in 7 years”, so clearly you must know what time Sony considers to be “on time”. To my knowledge, that time is just generically “Tuesday”, we have come to know it as 7-ish PM EST because that is the general time. I argue that is not good enough, they are pushing “Day One” digital, and yet they fail to deliver what Nintendo, Xbox, Steam, GMG, Amazon, Best Buy, andGamestop offer. EVERY OTHER digital service offers Tuesday 12:01 downloads, or for the retail stores, as soon as they open their doors (generally 10AM), and for the bigger releases, they actually open at midnight.
I’m not arguing with you, I like you, you are a bro and I respect you calm demeanor, but this is unacceptable, even if we set aside this week. How can EVERY OTHER distribution method on Earth be better than Sony/PSN/SCEA?
Thanks for getting the store straightened out. Pretty excited to get the new Dishonored DLC and Malicious. Not sure when I’ll get to it with Borderlands 1 & 2 and going after my weekly SP cap in Dust, but at least it’ll be waiting for me. :P
I like to ask the ign guy why didn’t he get his off lazy hind pots and got to dang store and pick up copy of a day 1 purchase .if he wanted day 1 so dang bad… why didn’t do that why did he sit on his lazy hind pots for 36 hrs and waste time when he could’ve went to a outlet and get the game of his desire.?? He no excuse.. Nothing wrong with the psn service its alot thing I would love to se on psn. But things is I don’t go cramming down morgan or sid throat of they claim doing a bad of because it not my way. I was going to get Dragon Fantasy Book I & Sacred Citadel. But end up getting Pandora’s Tower for the Wii instead, all because of this fiasco late late update.
Sony you folks are by far the worst company when comes to maintaining & updating PSN / PS Store IMO. You guys are rank very last, way on the bottom.
I give you guys a ………. -100 out of 10. There should be no excuses. What’s the deal with all these PSN maintenance lately? We been dealing with this issue with PSN Years after Years, Month after Months, Week after Weeks. Won’t you folks call Nintendo, Microsfts, Steam or any othe companys that seem to do a way better job at maintaining and updating their store for help !!. This is really getting out of hand !!!

I run a company that delivers construction supplies to jobsites, my entire life is constantly managing my customer’s expectation, believe me, I know how $%#@ happens.
If Sony routinely had the store update at 4-5AM EST Tuesday morning, and occasionally things happened and it would slide back to 9-10AM EST, that would be one thing, and you wouldn’t see the vitriol on here. But for them to push “Day One”, and then be the absolute worst at backing that up (again, every other distribution method has you playing either at 12AM, or first thing in the morning), of course people are going to freak out.
Again, lets set aside this week, it hardly is ever this bad, but generally speaking it is unacceptable, BECAUSE they push Day One digital.
If they stopped the ‘Day One’ %$#@, and just simply said “Hey guys, the store is updated Wednesday, deal with it”, and the updated sometime Tuesday night, everyone would be cool with it. That would be stupid, because Sony would lose out on impatient Day One people, but overall it would be fine.

Patience is a virtue. I am very pleased with Sony’ Playstation brand and PS+. I cannot imagine how unbelievable the PS4 generation will be. Thanks for the free games. All you have to do is work on your communication with your customers. Also, the store is a little slow but I can always find what I want, buy, download it and then I log off the store. I don’t understand all the negativity, it’s just a store, not a game. Malicious, Soul Sacrifice Demo and Sacred Citadel for me! Thanks again Sony!
# 235 the store update on Tuesday that is time it update the 1ts tuesday of that week.. Keep in mind in the past psn didn’t have mat fixing update every week of the month, they had if 1 per month if that.
Tuesday is the day it update there is definate time for the psn store to update beyond Tuesday.. because thing change during the day.. it been said.. You siting preaching about 1 day and etc etc they have olnly been lat in 2 times 7 yrs of psn history.. and now its biggest crime since hoover was caught in a girl night out bar in dress?? I actually can compare one to the other. ALL of their competetors do a better and timlier job of getting my my games. I WANT to give Sony my money, because they get a larger profit if I do, but they are the absolute worst at timeliness. And it’s not even close. How many millions did they lose just on COD Black Ops 2 alone because nobody will wait until “lol6PM-ish” the next day to start playing with their buddies?
I don’t even play games Day One, this doesn’t even effect me, other than I know Sony is losing out on money from other people with their terrible service, I care because I want Sony to make money, I want them to be profitable, I want them around. It’s beyond dissapointing when they just let money fall through their fingers.

Why has there been no acknowledgment on sony’s part about the glitches in the new vita firmware. I can’t play my digital lumines (deleted and installed) and paint park doesn’t work either. I’ve also heard of peoples cartridges not working…
