PlayStation Store Update

Hey everyone,
It’s the final week of celebrating Only On PSN with the release of 2 exclusive PSN titles: inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood and PixelJunk SideScroller! Don’t forget that this is also the last week that you can purchase these, or any other content from the Store to go towards the $60 threshold to receive $10 back in November.

inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood delivers a darker adventure for Cole; complete with new powers, (did we mention he flies?) a new look for the city of New Marais, and access to the complete suite of User Generated Content tools. This downloadable inFAMOUS adventure is standalone and doesn’t require you to have previous inFAMOUS titles to play it.

Other PSN Games arriving this week include the now HD arcade classic Daytona USA, the hilarious puzzle action of Worms Crazy Golf, and just in time for Halloween: Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone.

  • Yep I’m the same as everyone else on here. I am a PS+ member and didn’t get a discount, I bought the stuff and got nothing but a crappy theme and the NSX but NOT what I paid for, and that link you keep copying and pasting DOESN’T fix anything as nothing is even downloaded in the first place to apply.

It simply is amazing as to how not only after so many years can you guys not update the store properly, but then again you manage to screw up even after a weeks delay. This is beyond unacceptable.

Normally I defend the PS brand over things, but this is utter garbage. The whole lot needs to be fired and replaced due to their continued negligence and incompetence.

  • I buy the GT5 Pack of $11.99, when I going to Downloadable Content…. IT SAID (NO PURCHASED CONTENT FOUND.) and I paid for that :(

  • Please go to a convention at E3 or something and please get the demo.
I always preferred playstation over Xbox live!

    :] and if not :[

  • Anyone checked for sony or kaz tweets to see if someone knows about this situation, since sony’s customer “support” doesn’t seem to understand that there IS a problem. And chances are close to 0% that someone will reply to this blog… or atleast Grace won’t.

  • another week with no new ps2 classics…..

  • please please please we want Dragon Quest 8 for PSN PLEASEEEE !!

  • GT5 DLC bundle was supposed to have a PS+ discount? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    https://blog.playstation.com/2011/10/11/gran-turismo-5-spec-2-0-update-is-live-dlc-coming-october-18th/

“While you can buy individual DLC packs, you can also buy it all at once as a bundle for just $11.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers will also get a nice discount on the bundle for the first month of release – more details on that soon.”

    Don’t lie to us, thanks……………………………..

  • so wait, Sony isn’t even going to fix this??? I know it’s just 12 bucks but still I was kinda looking forward to racing on Spa.. come on Sony…

  • GT5 DLC WORKING NOW

  • I’m a PS+ Member and I pre-ordered Festival of Blood for $9.99
And NOW on launch day it’s 20% off for PS+ people who didn’t pre-order?!?
So I’m getting punished for pre-ordering?
    NEVER. PREORDERING. AGAIN.

    • If you were a US Plus subscriber and pre-ordered inFAMOUS Festival of Bood, you should have had a 20% discount active. The 20% discount was active for the entirety of the pre-ordering timeframe in the US. Contact CS if you did not received the discount, were a Plus subscriber, and were in the US to address the issue.

  • Once again, Sony USA has ZERO accountability when it comes to their shortcomings. How about making a public announcement that there’s a flaw in the DLC instead of just hosing us with the excuse that we didn’t follow directions?

  • Enough with the video services already, bring out Play TV or Torne for the USA. We’ve been waiting long enough. I do see the value in Netflix, Vudu, Cinema Now and Hulu Plus but we need a service like Play TV or Torne.

  • @jimmyfoxhound
“We’re not in the mood Megamixer we have bigger issues today like brokenGT5 DLC!!”
Par for the course considering the fact that GT5s been broken mess of a game since day 1 :P

    @tifosiotaku
Is Daytona yet another crappy Backbone PC port or is it a properly done port by Sega Japan?

  • When you mean last week do you mean that this is the final week to get these games like Sideway New York or just the end of the offer of getting 10 dollars back in November?.
The only reason I’m asking is that I overheared there was a saving problem with Sideway New York and that the company is working on a fix to it right now so I’m waiting to get the game then.

  • what was the point of offering the Infamous DLC for pre-order & then releasing it with a 20% discount for PS+ members, why wasn’t this offered to those of us who pre-ordered, instead all we got was a theme. I will never pre-order something from the PSN again if this is what is going to happen.

  • another pretty boring update

best thing is prob the resistance3 demo

still no DCUO F2P? .. so much for october

  • GT5 DLC works without BuBBLeZ!

    O:

  • GT5 dlc is NOW showing up for me on the game’s dlc icon.

  • Well, I’m glad I have Forza 4 too. The DLC was gonna bring me back to GT5 for a while but now……..

  • GT5 DLC WORKING!!!!!

  • Got My download, now do i get my account credit back for being a plus member?

  • Couple of Questions

    1) How come plus memebers only get the Daytona USA Avatars? That’s messed up if you ask me.

    2) On the buy $60, Get $10 back promo, Does Playstation Home purchases Count? or, Is just stuff from the Playstation Store? Been considering buy the Alice Cooper idems in Home.

    3) Why release a demo for Elevator Action Deluxe when the game is already out? Always though demos was supposed to be released before the game was released, Not after or on the same day the game releases in stores. You guys are always so backwards when it comes to this. Wish you would stop, But, I know that not gonna happen.

    • 1) Plus gets exclusives such as these. They may open up to the wider network in time, but for now they’re exclusive to Plus.
      2) Yes Home items count.
      3) better late than never? We strive to provide demos for all downloadable titles before or at release; but at times, this is not the case.

  • Are they going to put GTA : San Andreas for the PS2 classics???? o.O

  • Where is the promised PS+ discount for the GT5 DLC?

  • MAN MORE NEW STUFF BUT “WHO WANTS TO BE MILLIONAIRE” STILL HAVEN’T SHOW UP BUT KEEP THE FREE STUFF COMIN.

  • What happened to the PS+ discount for the Gran Turismo 5 Complete Pack you guys were talking about a week ago?

  • Say I purchase and download the GT5 content on my main account, will I still be able to use it on the account I use for racing? If not, then epic fail.

    • It is currently tied to the account that made the purchase from the store, because it is an entitlement applied to that account. However, we are investigating a way to address this. In an upcoming update in December, the purchased DLC cars will be added to the in-game dealerships. We are also working on a “family upgrade” for to allow purchased DLC content to be used by all users on the PS3.

  • Please solve the problem of how GT5 DLC before, or my money back. amazing how Sony can be so incompetent at some things. is a pity.

  • GT5 DLC bundle was supposed to have a PS+ discount?

“While you can buy individual DLC packs, you can also buy it all at once as a bundle for just $11.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers will also get a nice discount on the bundle for the first month of release – more details on that soon.” From Oct. 11 Blog posting.

    What’s the deal?

  • I’ll enjoy PJ Sidscroller and some GT5 DLC. But what I’m really waiting for is some Rocksmith DLC.

  • LOOK ABOVE FOR THE LINK (OR RIGHT HERE: http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/products/gt5/store) FOR GRAN TURISMO DLC. It’s a stupid and confusing way to do it, but it does work… had to call Sony at 1-800-345-SONY for the answer, they admitted they screwed up

  • It would be really great if someone could get back to us on the GT5 DLC PS+ discount issue? It was promised… Let us know one way or the other. If your going back on your word, then tell us so we can be pissed off & buy it anyways.

    Thanks.

  • Does the digital purchase of Black Ops include any DLC?

  • @TurismoM3: Sony should be more proactive and solve the duplicate charges and discount matter on GT5 DLC automatically. Without us consumers contacting them. Or at least having a simple system to solve this, since I’m on Brazil now I have to setup a headset on skype to talk with SONY phone support.

  • Looks like the U.K. store got their PS+ discount on the GT DLC. Hopefully they fix this, I want it now.

  • $50 for digital Black Ops? Online pass for Ratchet and Clank? Really?

  • They fixed it, Thank you………. :)

  • I am so gonna buy BLOPS if the game runs smoother than the disc. My cousin had the disk, I tried it out, and it was SO slow. I am thinking about purchasing a $50 PSN card and getting it!

  • they just fixed the price on the store, the DLC is now only 8.99 for plus members… i’m waiting for my refund until i try again though, not happy

  • By the way, buyer beware when getting GT5 dlc. GT5: Prologues servers were shutdown and now I am unable to update my game to spec III. Pray your PS3 never breaks, because with GT5 dlc being handled in a similarly stupid way there’s no guarantee you’ll have access to it forever…

  • Festival of Blood ftw! The free Halloween dynamic theme is pretty sweet, sporting that theme for sure until Nov. 1st then its Uncharted 3 theme! Pretty nice update today, trying out a few demos as well.

  • Where’s mai Rocksmith DLC Sony?

  • i can’t wait to download inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood that i had preordered and its great to see Daytona USA back i may get it and i am a huge zombie nutt so Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone maybe good, and i want to download the cyborg frank for dr2

  • when DC universe coming out for free?????????

  • Will the digital download of Call Of Duty Black Ops work with the map packs I downloaded for the disk verson?

  • Now I am unsure if I’ll purchase the dlc content.

My advice to people is to do a charge back on your credit card since Sony will not resolve the issue, assuming you trusted psn with your credit card data again.

  • The PS Plus online save cloud needs higher capacity, 150MB is not enough. The feature is useless to me because I’ve reached the limit and now every time I turn on my PS3 it gives me an error message that there’s no space left in the online storage.

  • My sister’s boyfriend’s cousin’s dog just got the GT5 DLC and he’s mad that you guys aren’t working fast and hard enough to fix the problem. He just wanted me to post to let you know. Don’t make me come back here and complain again or…bad things will happen or something along those lines.

Oh, and some guy named megamixer is my sister’s boyfriend’s cousin’s dog’s hero. He just wanted me to say that for some reason.

    • Sorry for the early inconvenience, but the the DLC issues were resolved within a few hours following yesterday’s update. Should be good!

  • @hotwheel13
yes all map pack will work with the digital version

  • Worst update ever… Well, you guys still can have my $0.49 for one Disgaea avatar.
