We recently announced our partnership with DIRECTV to bring their most popular sports subscription service, NFL SUNDAY TICKET, directly to you via your PlayStation 3. Starting later today, you can access the direct link in the My Channels category under the TV/Video Services icon on the XMB (XrossMediaBar) or head over to the media category of the PlayStation Store to download the app in anticipation of the new 2011 NFL season.
This Sunday, PS3 owners without access to DIRECTV will be able to live stream every out-of-market Sunday NFL game on their PS3 with a subscription to NFL SUNDAY TICKET. You’ll be able to enhance your NFL experience with live multi-game scoreboards and field position trackers, which also allow you to access highlights, stats, standings and schedules, as well as the Red Zone Channel, which gives you live coverage of Sunday’s most exciting moments. The subscription for the 2011 season can be purchased directly through the app for $339.95. Existing subscribers can use the PS3 as an additional receiver in their home, as part of their NFL SUNDAY TICKET To-Go package, which is purchased through DIRECTV.

i just got off the phone with sony about this issue
they said theyre working with direct tv to fix the problem. it could be cleared up some time today or by next sunday it should be fixed. if it isnt i can get my full refund.

Spoke to Sony, said they’re working with directv to resolve issue, do not yet have info on refunds. Then I got a crystal clear feed of Cincinnati vs. Clevleand for about two glorious minutes until it jumped from a QB scramble into the middle of a commercial and then. Back every fifteen seconds. Picture’s clear, though. Scared to change games. Will give them one more week, two if they give me a 1/17th refund.

People I know watching the game on Directv aren’t having any problems
Check Direct tv on Facebook and Twitter. NFL Sunday ticket issues are on their end and they state they are working on it. Non PS3 customers are also having some of the same issues.
How to get a refund…….(maybe).
I Called 1-800-345-SONY (7669), press 0 and wait for customer service.
Told them is is unacceptable service, they gave a sob story how they’re trying to work-it out & please be patient.
Said “NO – I want a refund!” Then waited another 5 minutes for a manager.
The mgr walked me through cancelling the next 3 months/payments and submitted a request for a refund – tell them you want it back to your credit card, otherwise you get credits in your PSN wallet.
He said I’ll have to wait 7-10 days for a decision, but due to their admitting of a problem, he doesn’t expect a decline……we’ll see.
Note: don’t wait until next week to cancel – they’ll be less forgiving.

I finally got thru to DirecTV customer service and at first,the lady almost seemed like she had no idea. She then proceeded to tell me it was a “known issue” and that it was being worked on. When I asked about a refund, she said it was a difficult situation because I don’t have a DTV account and it’s thru the PS3. So I don’t know if Sony will be issuing refunds or what. But to hell with this, even if they get it working. I’d probably be better off with the NFL GameRewind package.

And now, I’m told that I can’t watch the BAL-PIT game because…blackout rules are in effect. The game is sold out, and I live in Tampa, FL. Somebody should explain the blackout rule to these clowns.
The TB game was actually not sold out before the deadline so it is infact locked out.
If it’s nationally televised it will be blacked out on Sunday ticket. It might be on your normal CBS station. I live in DC so its on here whether or not its the nationally televised game
Don’t knock me from trying to help. I came on this site to let people know what would happen if you used your hard earned money on this service. DirecTV does NOT have the capability to stream NFL games correctly.
Maybe the NFL should consider not selling the rights to JUST one company…especially one that is proving right now that it can not keep up with demand. Why not do something similar to the MLB model and distribute the content yourselves to multiple device types (PS3, Roku, Boxee, Apple TV)?
Tampa isn’t blacked out where I am (Atlanta). It should only be blacked out in Tampa. I called Sony and got the same “we’re looking into it,” but they couldn’t guarantee me a refund. The guy on the phone actually told me the people making those decisions were “at home with their families.” I am sure he is getting slammed, so I can’t really give him grief for being frustrated but those people need to get their butts into the office NOW.

All i want is for this issue to be corrected i am not going to complain i expected a few issues the first week maybe not to this magnitude but i expected some issues hopefully it could be resolved Asap.
@biggamedb, I see that it is not only the PS3, if I had a directtv dish then I could also be subject to this problem. You really need to grow up.
The DirectTv site is even down. So I have to think that this a bigger problem than just the PS3. But I have NFL Red Zone on my regular TV.
My DirecTV Satellite feed is fine. No problems. Just the PS3 is messed up.

It’s definitely a Directv issue. I tried watching on my laptop, and using my iPod Touch app and watching the a game, and I get the same issues everyone else here is getting. Sony should have made sure this was going to work, especially after the security breach of the PSN, and then the months of downtime!

Well, if this clustercuss continues on for the next few weeks, maybe Sony will do another “Welcome Back” program, and give all Sunday NFL Ticket To Go subscribers a free downloadable videogame for all the hassle we’ve had to deal with. I vote for Infamous 2 or Uncharted 3!

Don’t believe what directv is telling everyone about it being a problem for their sat customers too. That’s what they told us. But, my brother’s DirecTV sat feed is fine. This is soley an issue with DirecTV and Sony. I hope they can fix this issue by next week or I will be getting a refund. Completely unacceptable not to have these issues ironed out before launch.

No, it isn’t just a PS3 issue. If you read through @DirecTVService they mention Android apps, NFL To Go, and basically all the online streaming options.
Ya, still nothing but a spinning gear for me. I even restarted my ps3.
@simdawg21 Yeah true, but hey told us on the phone it was an issue for satellite customers as well. It’s not. Sat is fine.
