With a special July 4th edition of The Drop comes a patriotic salute to what is surely one of the year’s most anticipated betas. Soon enough, everyone will be able to join in on the UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception Multiplayer Beta, as it opens on Tuesday to all PSN users. PlayStation Plus members have been enjoying early access to the beta all week, but its time we open things up!
Also, this week — the Earth needs some defending! Sunshine, barbecue and fireworks will come in between you and the apocalyptic arthropod uprising in Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon.

Plz can u come up with more PSone titles like the armored core series, like u do for the asian servers. I like the stuff u guys put out but in the Asian area u already have the armored core series out and other greatest hits titles but not in American playstation store. i know it just the uncharted 3 beta but needs some fixing i suggest looking at ign’s article about it. there’s glitches in co-op in the chateau siege level up top where you can go through the wall. would love more accessories, military attire, tactical vest, ballistic armor pretty much basic military attire, the emblem i would like to see more stuff and position it where ever i want on the flag, more co-op games, better mods like in socom 4, more guns, take out the stupid 40mm grenade launcher only losers use that to get kills, more customization, something is wrong with the jump climb and melee climbing where you try to grab a ledge or enemy, the ability to kick out players in co-op, the uncharted tv should have an option to turn it on or off and the possibility to show your best game. overall it’a amazing.
Pretty horrible. No PS3 or PS1 classics. XBL has GTA, RDR, Dead Space, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Civilization, PES, ToV, Bioshock, NBA2K, etc etc etc and PSN has practically nothing.
Still nothig for PSP. Looks like the next PSP game released on the PSN will be for the PS Vita…

why is it that at E3 konami says that castlevania harmany of despair will be released this summer on psn and yet its still not out? im really lookin forward to playing it were it belongs but a im tired of waiting for it. does anyone know if it is coming out this summer or the next. jus so i kno not to hold my breath waiting for this game to come out :/

Well, as of right now the big releases i am looking forward to is Kenshi for Mk tomorrow and Rain when he gets released and then the 3th dlc character and finally the mk tirlogy when that comes out.
Would have been nice to get a list of what is all being placed on the store for tomorrow today instead of waiting till tomorrow to find out.
again,this is another way to get ps+ users since if you can recall,june the 2nd was the day we got our free 30 days of ps+.so basically today,everyone who had the free ps+ doesnt have it anymore.and they know people want uc3 mp so theyre using it as a marketing trick to give an incentive for people to subscribe to ps+.
on the same token people could have waited till july 1st or 2nd to activate their free 30 days of plus and it would go to august so they could use it for the uc3 mp beta or whatever else

You need PS+ to play it, so you need to buy PS+ again to play the game, every game that is free goes away after PS+ expires.

UC3 beta is ok, but I’m actually a little dissapointed so far.
Its too much like UC2, I see no real defining differences.
Uc1 was great and gave us sweet 1st in class graphic, enemy AI the likes of which we have never seen before, I shooter in the style of GTA but with extremely streamlined combat mechanics and controls, awesome story, cool vehicles(I loved the seadoo level for sure), and supernatural enemies which jump out and give you a kinda horror or survival horro type vibe. This game was massive and epic.
UC2 was good, but didnt have the same wow factor as part one, just because of part one being so unique and distinct from other games. But in part 2 they added online coop and competitive and this was a welcomed addition. This was enough to make part 2 its own wow machine despite losing the cool enemies from part one and that entire horror /survival horror vibe.
Uc3(from the beta anyway) I see no innovation, no advancements to gameplay, no Move support, no vehicles in MP, no horror elements, no wow factor. In fact playin the UC3 beta feels just like playin some DLC for UC2 that added 3D support.
-Give me a donkey’s only battle arena, where we ride armored donkeys and can stand on their backs and hang from their sides, and shoot under their bellies, or sneak behind enemy lines to do silent take downs.
Scratch that, the desert needs camels not donkeys.
-How about an armored argo battle, basically acting as small tanks, but being drakes they could have superior wall climbing abilities to allow mini tank battles on all surfaces including roof tops!
-Lets get fully destructable environments, your not really gonna let a FPS have better destructable environments then you are ya?
Donkey battle is shot guns only.
Argo battle is RPG’s/grenades/explosives only.
Maybe let us ride yetis through the desert, and being winter animals they need constant hydration, this adds strategy and you gotta kill for water if you wanna escape the desert. Like a big maze with halucinations of oasis’s drawing you of safety zones and into the deadly heat of the sun.
Weapons for this mode may be only melee, but the yeti’s could spice that up easily with leaping tactics, sprints, large clubs or swinging dead camels.
How about a cross over, you are the yeti from UC2 and are surrounded by hundreds of the infected zombies from UC1, you must smash your way through them to safety.
Blow my mind all over my face on this one guys, dont let the series start failing to impress.

Reading what you’re saying about Uncharted 3 Beta, it feels like you’ve only played maybe a half an hour of a single mode of U3B. I have put many hours into the game and I can tell you that while the core game play is the same there have been many excellent changes made to U3B’s MP. The kick backs, buddy system, and how boosters are handled have seriously changed the way I play the game. The three team deathmatch makes it pretty much necessity to work closely with a friend or else you will never when a match. Co-op Arena is like Warzone minus teams (which they should have a mode for in my opinion) from KZ2/3 for Uncharted, I love it.
Uncharted 3 inspires team work in the likes that I wish I had seen in Uncharted 2’s Multiplayer as much as I loved it, this was a serious short coming.
Also do not forget that U3B has more modes to unlock.
Move support? Really? Did we learn nothing from Socom 4? Sorry move support would be a terrible idea for this game. Get a Vita for Golden Abyss if you have to have motion controls, it’ll be a better experience.

I wouldn’t be surprised if an all power weapons mode or another Lab makes it to U3. The Lab was a great feature in U2 and they would be foolish not to add that in the future.
As far as vehicles go. Do we really need them? They don’t really make sense in Uncharted Single player given the game play mechanics. Does every game have to have vehicles? I think we should give Vehicles a rest. Go play another game that actually has those features and works well with that premise instead of trying to shoe horn vehicles into every multiplayer experience. To be honest with you every time I hear about vehicles and see it put into motion in sequel I find myself quiting the game after a month. Killzone 3’s use of the mechs has honestly had some serious impacts that have ruined balance (among other things that have been ruined due to poorly managed balance control).
