We sincerely regret that PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been suspended, and we are working around the clock to bring them both back online. Our efforts to resolve this matter involve re-building our system to further strengthen our network infrastructure. They’re not serious about this at all.
1. They’re not updating us frequently enough.
2. They’ve made no attempt at giving us an actual ETA. That 2-3 day think was total crap as it’s been more than 2-3 days since the network went down.

4. They’re just spouting out BS about an external attack. They’re just piggy backing from Anonymous previous attack. A lot of people fail to realize that Anonymous has went out in pubic saying that they wouldn’t be shutting down the PSN nor the PS Store and will instead think of a better way to go about doing things without having an effect on our gaming.

PS Plus doesn’t promise you anything about the network being up. PS Plus gets you great deals on games and other things. The network itself is free to everyone. Anyone mad over PSN being down can direct their anger at the lame hackers. They’re evil and need to be hunted down and arrested.

Yes, that sounds like an ingenious idea….except for the fact that for everyday the Network is down, Sony is losing a colossal amount of money. Don’t be ridiculous.
@337 wrong, ps plus is also a service…i can’t access my cloud saves…now imagine that you wanted to download some content before your 3month subscription expire…you would be totally screw due to this outage, also if your subscription expires you would be unable to play your current games nor renew your ps+ subscription..how about that?

I understand its a holiday but if a site like giantbomb could go down and they did live streams updating its readers the least you could do is constantly update the people that bought your console. If this is not fixed by tomorrow I am going to search into options into selling my PS3 and buying an Xbox, because each day sony posts the same crap each day with no update. And i will enjoy buying a cheaper blu ray and left for dead 2 for my new 360. The network shutting down really sucks, but I wouldn’t be STUPID enough to go buy an Xbox360. I have a ton of single player games I still need to play. I can list over 20 games I have that I’ve been wanting to play but haven’t yet.
So even IF there is an extended period of downtime, which I hope there isn’t, I definitely will still be keeping myself busy.
This is also a good time to perfect any game you are playing…you know, actually learning each aspect of the game and getting better at it. Instead of…using a lag switch, going 6-10 and spouting as if you are the best in the world.

I hate this Network blackout just as much as any other PLAYSTATION (PLUS) PAYING CONSUMER, but I know better than to actually start throwing the blame at Sony because “WAAAH I CANT PLAY BLACK OPS NOW! At least Netflix is still working. Maybe while they are doing this infrastructure change they can make it so each active local controller can be logged into the PSN under a separate ID.
