We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.
We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.

Just officially cancelled my pre-order to give my money to the Evil Empire (Activision – Black Ops). I love Forza but was going to pick this up just for the cool modes, features, and cars. Too late, I lost interest and will enjoy Forza and the upcoming Hot Pursuit for my racing fix.

This is the only game I’m buying for PS3 this year and it gets delayed. The issue I see here is that the Holiday season can be from late November until sometime in January. I have a strange feeling that it won’t be released in 2010 as they said “this holiday season” rather than by the end of the year.

I’m disgusted to be a PlayStation owner, even more so a Gran Turismo fan. This game has been delayed since Dinosaurs roamed the earth. This game is never coming out, will see Detox before this comes out… scratch that, we wont even see Detox, smh. Might as well close shop and ship it for PS9.

As the rest, been waiting for this for a loong time and just last week i asked my boss if i could have a week break from the 1-7th nov and i got that arranged and now they mess up my arrangements… So highe hopes for what i was gonna do and see that first week with it in my hands. Were aiming for 24H race without b-spec and with wheel and pedals..

If they want to launch a game with only experience of dirigibility, then they make right! It delays the time that to cost! I’m pretty sure that with the 5 year development time there cant be that many issues that a simple update within the next 2 months wont to sort out and to tell us this 3 weeks before release is completely unacceptable, i LOVE Gran Turismo so much so i have pre ordered the signature edition, but this really stops me from wanting to buy it (like that will happen) not sure about the rest of the GT fans but i feel completely mugged off here especially as i have booked time off work for this, everyone who has preordered deserves some kind of special gift for their patients like a FREE Bravia or something, BAD MOVE POLYPHONY, you are going to lose a huge amount of sales over this, hope its worth it!!!!!!!

Sucks but a smart move with call of duty black ops releasing a month before, not a lot of people have 60 bucks to spend back to back, but it might be a smart move to release before the year ends,it will make a perfect Christmas gift and sure to grab game of the year tittle.

this delay is cos of the clash with call of duty black ops, if they delay the game till xmas it means more sales. theres no bugs with the game its a sales ploy.
