What are you doing today? Out enjoying the warm weather that’s somehow taken over the country this weekend? Well, you *could* do that, but that’s tacit approval of global warming. And that’s evil :-)
Why not stay inside, away from the sun’s dangerous rays, and catch Dr. Richard Marks as he takes the Engadget crew through a behind-the-scenes look of the PlayStation Move, LIVE on today’s Engadget Show, which starts at 5:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. PT). It’s streaming right here!
Once you’ve seen PlayStation Move, how about actually playing it? For those in the New York area that want to get their hands on the PlayStation Move, be sure to stop by our first New York meetup this Tuesday, March 23rd. RSVP for the event here and let us know you’re coming.
Oh, and we’ll also be in Boston this Thursday, March 25th, PlayStation Move in hand. Details and RSVP are right here. See you there!
This show is going to rock!!!!\\°¦.\\>›»º¤*

Wait so, they are going to actually be using the MOVE and demonstrating how it works?
@2
Oh man I hope Kevin Butler will be there! =)
Haha Jeff. Going outside means you approve of global warming. Funny stuff. Nevertheless, it’s frakkin’ hot this weekend!
Sry gone enjoy the hot AZ sun! YEAA BABY :D
Damn you Jeff, for making me check the blog more than once on a Saturday! lol

Just one hardcore title or something past pre-alpha, just something to restore the faith among non believers

I CANT HEAR IT!!
Volume is real low… =(
The audio is so quiet! (yes I’m on full volume)
waiting for PS Move to come on… Gimme MOVE!
Warm weather? It’s cold, wet, and windy where I am. Darn you global cooling!
Turn up the damned audio already!
when is move comin on?
ps move, i was wondering what it was, so i had a quick look on here and then saw what it was all abt, i for one won’t b getting this new gadget, got enuf games’ etc on the ps, don’t think i want any more stuff
If you have a problem with the volume as we all do just wear some headphones, thats what I’m doing adn it sounds fine.
Playstation Move will be great. What about 3D gaming?
Where is MOVE. I don’t wanna watch all this boring stuff :P 45 minutes in.. UGHH>.
So SCE have been developing motion gaming since 2000… Suck it down non believers…SONY are pioneers my friends.
Wow, sony actually had motion sense and all that tracking stuff way before nintendo and microsoft…..
um wow. The entire Move demonstration and even the interview was all just criticizing the Move and Playstation.
I stopped watching it. Great job though guys, it was very interesting to see more tech demos.
This is amazing!! good friggin job sony!
Are we ever going to hear about Ape Escape? You released its name as a Move title long ago, but there are absolutely no details. Please, all I want to know is that it still exists.
This is awesome.
They can clearly see the flaws, which can still be rectified, but they can 100% see the potential. I love this.
They should have shown this at GDC, much better.
who was the fat troll lol
Great show ! Thanks Jeff.
I just happened to logon and the show started.
Loved the demos of the Move, even more impressive than what I had thought.
Those guys were kind of A-holes to purposely make it glitch and stuff…
Good stuff. The tech demos shown on this show look soooooo much more fun than the actual games shown at GDC. I am sure you guys will eventually make the games better though. Good luck on the whole “move” thing.
we need more game play but can’t wait for ape escape
done…
Woooow emazing
Awesome demo!!! It was very cool to see some of the things that can be done with the move :D
Why did they use those terrible tech demos. They should have used the actually games that are in the works. Those tech demos are so old and buggy.
The only one that looked good was the pictures. When they switch it to using the move as the camera. I hope the games that come out are very polished because if they release buggy crap it’s going to fail.
though I doubt we’ll ever see something like that multitouch picture placement thing unfortunately, get ready for the onslaught of casual party games…
would be cool if they released these tech demos for free over at psn though.
@44
“Why did they use those terrible tech demos. They should have used the actually games that are in the works.”
you clearly haven’t watched the GDC press conference, believe me, this was better,….
…miss it… possibile to replay?
That 3D video stream and photo placement app with a 3D camera was ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING!
That NEEDS TO BECOME THE NEW XMB CHATROOM!
They used the tech demos to show what the technology is capable of, that’s why they are tech demos. These are the guys who are creating the technology, so that’s why they are showing tech demos, as opposed to incomplete games. They aren’t meant to be polished games.
Plus, engadget is more tech focused. Also, I thought the stuff shown was ah-mazing.
Dr. Marks and a lot of the Sony people that do interviews begin there sentences with “So…” way too often. As for the Move you guys really have to try harder to explain the difference between TV lag and controller lag. The instant the interviewers start saying “Lag” it hurts the presentation of the technology. It’s 1:1 with positionion rotation and 3D spacial recognition and it’s good but consumers only understand what they see.
