GDC is coming up rather quickly, and Chris and I are working on the same thing we did last year – the PlayStation.Blog.Lounge. The goal is to let the media go hands on with our latest and greatest, as well as conduct interviews with our producers and dev teams. Then they tell you about it. There’s also some tasty food and a veritable keg o’ caffeine.
This year, I wanted to extend the invitation to you, our dear readers. So after the media shuffle off to assorted GDC parties and dinners Wednesday evening, we’re going to re-open the doors for PlayStation fans. There’ll be fun, food, prizes, and, of course, it’ll be free. More details and RSVP instructions coming up tomorrow.

The best part about you having a kid is you have so much experience in dealing with immature children on the blog already! Sometime you should read our posts from Sev1512 at PlayStation LifeStyle about him having his daughter, how it’s affected his gaming lifestyle, blog habits, etc.
Jeff, from one Sly fan and expecting father to another, congrats! My baby boy is due next month, and I’ve already been cutting back on game purchases. That’s why I love the PSN, great games at low cost.
My son is gonna be a jr., so he’s gonna have a Chinese name too (Kai). I’m mixed though, west indian, chinese, and native american. And his mother is Filipina, black, and white. My son’s gonna be a virtual melting pot, I love it!

Actually there should be an option in the poll for not interested in the game because Silent Hill is so much better…
Im not wasting my money on Resident Evil 5. Its turned into a joke. Its no an action game with horrible controls for the new genre. If it actually WAS a survivial horror than i could accept this controls, however there crap. And considering that crap Capcom pulled with the Versus DLC that should have been included, I don’t think twice about buygin the game. Why would they even consider putting a verse mode with those controls anyway. Its gonna be real fun. NOT.
@ 12 & 17 if i wanted to diss you i would hae called you a dork or something. i made my remark because you you gave the entire game a rating based on the demo, which in my opinion is usually a work in progress still. and i said thats a lame excuse just be honest like everyone else and say i cant afford it right tell the truth instead of berating somebody elses labor. if i judge games by the demo i wouldn’t have gotten Bioshock. i loved The graphics despised the DEMO. and i Platinumed the game. Your the Only person who mistook what i said…. have fun trying to catch up to me in Killzone Trophies Or whatever. your in the race me Im at The Finish Line

Def. Online co-op with a buddy is the way to go. I think on saturday night, we played for 4.5 hours straight. Didn’t get off until 4am. haha

RE5 is a great game! It is definitely WAY better playing it online co-op. especially if you have a mic! =D

First of all, Jeff, congrats on the baby. My wife and are trying, which isn’t nearly as fun as it sounds.
I voted that I don’t have it. The series lost me after RE2. I’ll rent it to see if it can bring me back in, but the lack of horror actually sounds worse to me.
Also, I have my PS3 clock setup to set via Internet, but it still isn’t showing the time change from over a week ago. If I set it manually Gran Tursimo 5: Prologue doesn’t like it. Plus to get online with friends in GT5:P we sync with the system clock, so it has to be set via Internet.

will PSN ever be as good as XBL? cross game invites, an actually good voice chat system, games like killzone2 dont even have party systems. its 2009, and no party system???
What frustrates me is I want to get this game but it costs 69.99. No way I’m paying that much for something I’ll play maybe once or twice. With the economy the way it is, why are we still being charged so much? I have less money to spend as of late on games and it doesn’t help that they are so darn expensive.
Killzone 2 was 59.99 and was the best that I’ve spent in a while. So far I’ve logged about 50 hours online and 24 hours in campaign. 75(ish) hours of entertainment for 60 bucks? That’s a hell of a deal.

Mine are hitting 4 on April Fools day. They both slept through the night after about 8-9 weeks. They did it themselves. If it doesn’t work out until later for you, make sure you have a gaming plan B.

why didnt sony go with a STANDARD system for online, instead of leaving it up to game devs? PSN is free, but lacks many features. ITS 2009 and theres no PARTY SYSTEM in KILLZONE2??
I enjoy RE5 a whole heck of a lot more than the KZ2 demo. I replayed the demo a lot and I’m working on my second playthrough of RE5. Pretty sweet. And sometimes I use the AI but typically it gets killed. Especially since I play as Sheva and we have to split up.
