yes true.. but still it’s a huge game which WOULD have lifted a lot of consoles in NA and Europe.. they would have outsold 360 in Japan anyway.. but they could have done the same in EU and NA .. now it’s less possible..

From the SE press: FFXII is only coming to NA and Europe on 360 not in Japan on 360, Confirmed. Hashimoto says it’s becasue of the 360 install base in Japan”
That doesn’t make it any lighter, 360 is dominating in the US, Europe is still Sony faithful, but… for how long? Sony has hardly any user-base in Japan to kill the 360 with FFXIII in Japan with the rest of the world.

I agree with you. SONY are getting it from their own, money hungry Japanese companies like Capcom and Square-Enix are [DELETED] SONY over.
There were, what, three third party franchises you had to hold onto sony. You managed to keep MGS4 (for now), KH may still be on PS3, but you couldn’t keep final fantasy, the biggest third party franchise on your system.
I had three friends that were going to buy a PS3 for FFXIII, now they don’t need to since they already have 360’s. Nice job sony. Hopefully you have some bigger surprises tomorrow, or you will lose this E3.
Tomorrow at the conference: Kaz Hirai announced an exclusive by Namco Bandai on the PS3. “It’s Ridge Racer, RIIIIIIIIDGE RACER!” That’ll be Sony’s big suprise game for us tomorrow that’ll make up for FFXIII

FFXIII and Monster Hunter would’ve made a huge impact for PS3 in Asian. But now we’ve lost exclusivity to both! Oh wait, we lost Monster Hunter all together. =(

any chance we could get a black psp with a helghast silkscreen on the back for Killzone’s launch? doesn’t have to be a game bundled with it either lol. or else bundle the old Killzone PSP game with it. as long as it has the helghast on the back. lol.
hello Onna… RPG´s dont sell well in X360, MS know that. But they also know multiplataform games dont sell anymore consoles, GTA IV recently show us that.
Sony lost a big system seller outside Japan now, because they dont payed Square.
So 360 owners have an OPTIONAL FULL install of the game to their Hard drive. +1 for microsoft again.
and of course for others that don’t know YES you Have to have the Disc in there still. [but no more train wrectk sound while playing games]
Sony for the past years was slowly rotting.

I guess FXIII won’t be taking advantage of Blu-Ray after all? Or 360 users will have to swap discs, I guess.
Wonder if MGS4 will wind up being the only third party game to use the extra space this gen.
Why do people keep saying to talk to Square?
It is not about them, it is about Sony not being able to keep third parties or to have them feel secure enough in their product to stay exclusive.
There is no passing the blame on this, it is 100% Sony.
Square gave Sony a year to get its numbers up and to get itself straight and Sony was unable to do it.
Square held back as long as they could.

That’s exactly my point, Sony has said a while back:” we don’t buy exclusives we believe we should earn them”. Back then I applauded them, now I can shoot them. I wish you did!!!

Guess we’ll just have to wait til tuesday. Honestly, dont expect anything from SE really on sonys part. Sony is a Japanese company trying to win the NA and europe market. Xbox is an American company trying to win the Japanese market. Its funny, both are targeting their home base. Just like a real war >.>
Microsoft has money and the gain developers like that but they are willing to spend it for good games… unlike sony.

Doesn’t matter now since MS just announced you can install games on the hard drive. Install it once, and just leave the disc in the tray.
I’m still looking forward to tomorrow’s Sony conference, but I’d be a lot happier if we weren’t still waiting for everything announced at E3 last year.

one thing im most mad about is the netflix partnership with xbox. Come on Sony beside sony pictures there only one other studios for there movie download service. Xboxlive has all the studios and now netflix free to all paying xboxlive customers bad move sony

This is really sucks….. I’m really at a loss, even if there’s something incredibly amazing tomorrow fans will NOT forget this.

The Drought Has Begun.
I understand the cost of these games make it too cost prohibitive to publish one game on a single console. And I also understand how you guys at Sony can do little to combat that. But how the hell do you expect to separate yourself from the competition if the consumer has the opportunity to buy the same games on a cheaper, more popular system? Blu-Ray? Home? Trophies? Free online gaming? These promises hang in the air and come to nothing as evidence through your market share. And what you have yet to promise, or even hope to entice, pales to the overwhelming reality of consistent and reliable success: HALO, Live, and Gears of War. There are far too many gamers that have experienced the fruits of the competition than have taken part in Sony’s current iteration. Now couple that with Netflix and FF? My God! FF! FF was a GUARANTEED console mover! Anybody who has played FF loves FF. And you were guaranteed that they would buy the next one because you were an exclusive member of the Sony club and only you and your fellow members were allowed in. Now you’ve lost it. FF was the one sure thing about Sony and you had every opportunity to exploit that. It’s what set you apart and pulled gamers into the Sony family. How can you expect gamers to want to interact and come together in a virtual world when no is out there because they’re not in your store but the cheaper more popular club on the other side of the street. At least you guys are consistent about letting your customers down and not responding to them. At least I know I can count on that, at least.
