Just a heads up to all of you: The PlayStation.Blog team is in Tokyo this week holding things down at TGS! What this means is our publishing frequency is going to be a little less than usual this week. We’re hoping to get some cool photos, maybe some video and other material from the show that we will in turn share here with you. Don’t forget Sony mapped out their ultra realistic plans to sale 11 million units by years end LMFAO!!!! They haven’t even sold 4 million yet.. What the hell are they holding back that’s gonna generate nearly 7 million in sales? LMFAO!

You know why there is a delay, because of people like Cagalli. Sony looks at us like people who they aren’t held accountable to, but the Japanese public certainly is. For the last year you couldn’t say one harsh thing about the PS3 on here, the forums or any other site with out a fanboy or sony viral marketer coming along and spreading cheerleading BS and look how well that’s worked out.
We should have been more vocal! F’ these people like Cagalli who liek getting whipped. I paid the same price he did if not more since I bought FOUR PS3’s at launch my voice needs to be heard. I’m sick of you spineless consumers who can’t seem to stand up for what is right. GET OUT OF THE WAY, real men are speaking. We need to weed your numbers down and get more people like Gamesblow and others in here. I’m sure you chased off people like him before, but now I’m here and that crap just won’t stand.

Why would you import it, though? I mean, odds are the games that will support it will be done so thru patch and Haze is the only one anounced that is coming out here anytime soon.

R&C and Uncharted were on the list of games that will support rumble. Importing would, in theory, allow US and EU gamers to experience those games with rumble.
Cagalli you need to get your head out of whatever a$$ it’s in. What he is saying is what almost all of us feel like saying. Sony is making us look like monkeys at the zoo, (Brainless and waiting for that next meal not knowing when it’s really coming but we just keep waiting while people point and laugh at us). I’m tired of being told to wait a bit long, just a little longer, almost there, soon it will be here, well it’s delayed but it will be here very soon. Keynote or not this was not a smart move by sony, they should have said we are still testing and new beta’s are to be sent out soon. Then say we are trying to implement everything people are asking for but it is taking a lot longer then we originally thought. Not just saying hey look it’s delayed til next spring and that is all I have to say about that.

the conference was ok, the rumble feature and the functionality of psp save the conference in my opinion.

No, I must not… because to my understanding most UT fans are PC owners… Die hard PC ones at that. That would lead me to believe they won’t be buying it for the PS3 version, rather the PC version… Sorry. that’s my logical 2 cents. while they sit here slobbin Sony knob the gamers are playing 1080 games WITH custom music…in game menu access and choice of NUMEROUS games rated over a 9 on the big green monster…they can still around every thursday and wait for those demos that have been out for weeks on the big green monster…and when they finally get those games i’ll have already beaten the game on the big green monster…LOL
Oh and Sony is only a year late with rumble so dont know what everyone is excited about…this is something that should have been out from the launch along with a BILLION other features that STILL Sony has yet to deliver on

Bank the fact they’ll see Rumble patches on the store for 2.99 to 4.99 depending on the game. Resistance rumble patch will be sold for 4.99… Wait and see.

Loucifer/270 I know you have, I’ve been reading these boards since its inception, I am only now chosing to get vocal. I didn’t want to get involved with all the fanboys and viral marketers trying to dumb down and misdirect every issue, I get enough of that on the forums. Obviously, I have had enough and I am not going to continue to let people who are paid to post here, drown out the issues that we face. I naively thought if I ignored it it would sort itself out. No more, Im getting involved and taking an active role in these blogs and community. We need change, and we need it now. I don’t know about you guys but the thought of having invested in a Piano Black Dreamcast turns my stomach.

@275 Cute. Your right, GB go play some games. I know I would but I don’t have any. RFOM I’ve been playing for a year and frankly I’m sick of it. HS sucks and is a rental I was glad to give back after beating it in 5 hours. Lair doesn’t even warrant a rental, and Warhawk has had nothing but issues and I refuse to buy it until they change the DRM, if they don’t then I don’t. Thats pretty much our whole so called AAA lineup. I’d also play a few of the mulitplayer puzzle games if it allowed 2 players to use their individual accounts. You know, now that I think about it, I’ll stay here and remind Sony how they F’up.

Well I’ve seen the anouncement on the rumble sixaxis and I fear once again we down in the PAL territories are going to get royally screwed…
We haven’t seen any price cut yet because…wait for it…a Value Pack that now gives you 2 lame-arse controllers and a couple of games.
I can hardly wait till Sony in their infinite marketing wisdom start including rumble games with non-rumble controllers. Oh yeah, then you’ll have to buy some more controllers…mmm great value Sony…GET A CLUE!!!
Its funny, consoles usually only due price cuts and bundles inthe 2nd to 3rd year or during its initial christmas holiday to drum up sales. Its bad news that this is the case over there in the PAL market. Plus they are giving you so called AAA titles that they can’t sell and are going to end up charging you for DLC via the PSN store anyway. Great job Sony.

Dude, I was only kidding. I’m not getting a 360. Sony has made a lot of blunders with the marketing of thier console, but I forgive them. I hate Microsoft, although I admit the 360 is the more attractive offer. I personally think the winds of change will come when and only when the ps3 drops down its price … one … more …time. Kaz Harai did say that Sony will be using cheaper semiconductors,etc. to reduce their cost. You see, I am objective fanboy.

As much as I hate to admit it (trust me hate is not too stronger word here) but Microsoft have taught Sony a lesson with this generation on how to deliver content and an online experience. They have dropped the ball on hardware reliability which the PS3 seems to have, but without content, the PS3 is just a bloody room heater…

I have a question for any one of you three. Tell me what you think: Do you guys think if Sony raised the price of the PS2, a little bit (I dunno… $40) and then … *drum roll*… lowered the price of the 60GB (or 40GB if it comes out) down to $400, the unit would sell much better?

No… I don’t. I think they need to **** can the ps2 all together. It’s killing the PS3 sales more than the 360 is, if you can believe that. Sony is not only competing against Nintendo and Micro, but themselves too.
Even worse, developers are still making their games work and run off of ps2 hardware, which restricts next gen gaming as a whole… Because we all know how lazy and uninhibeted these dev’s can get… They’re not taking the time to optomize these games. MLB 08, anyone? It ran better on the Ps2 than it did PS3. Hell, the ps3 version looks damn near the same, when you see ps2’s in upscale mode.
It’s been a good run, but Sony needs to call it 10 and go on in with the ps2. Pull the plug. Everyone has one and the games aren’t getting any better. Keeping the Ps2 around just shows how little Sony is actually devoted to any 1 given area in their house. They’re clueless on what to do with all of their junk that they litterally cannot make heads or tails anymore… If they kill off the ps2 now, then the ps3 wont have any financial backing… cause it’s not making jack **** at retail for Sony. PSP and PS2 our. Reason being, they’re competiting with themselves. Kill ’em off Sony. Do the right thing.
I guess Sony, in some weird and warpped way, is actually still under the impression all those loyal PS1 and Ps2 lovers are holding out for them. They’re not. They went and bought wii’s and 360’s, Sony. Wake up. Sony thinks, oddly, that we’re just gonna be content with these promises and delays… Killzone 2!!!!! Get a Ps3 for Killzone 2!!!! All 8 hours of its liner structure too. We’re tired of the waiting game, Sony. If I wanted to wait, I’d go see my doctor. You’ve got nothing for me and I’m a die hard Sony fan… So, what’s that say to everyone else?

People will get what the give, plain and simple. You will see that from me time and time again. I can either be real easy to get along with or a complete a$$. Usually, I’m just an a$$.
Spyder: I don’t know if the price of the system is the real problem. After all most of MS’s users spent about the same if not more on their setups. I think its mostly functionality and content quality.
How is anyone supposed to value the PS3 when the whole community swears by a title like HS when it turns out to be a rental. Or when Lair gets sunk in almost every review. Or when Warhawk has DRM and network issues that would make a preacher curse. Or that the system lacks the ability to have multiple users logged in at once. Or that R6V had no game lobby and fell just a tad too short when put up against its MS counterpart. Or that everything they/we are told is generally a lie, and everythign you have on your wish list gets pushed back 3, 6, 9 months. Or that some 1080i users have to resort to playing in 480p.
These are too many things that are piling up in the negative for Sony. If they would just take one thing from MS it should be that they impose and hold their dev’s to certain standards. They are to willing to say its up to the devs but the first thing they do with there 1st party titles is gouge you for DLC.
Also Sony can’t help but protray themselves as a company that is unsure of its PS3 identity or that it is in a huge transition. Consumers respond to that image and decide they will wait it out to see what happens. No one wants the next Dreamcast, but it seems like Sony is trying to give us just that.
Another tid bit of info… If Factor 5 didn’t patch your controls for ya… what makes you think they’re even gonna touch rumble? LMAMAMAMAahahahahaha! They don’t want anything to do with Lair, other than to forget about it when they go to sleep so they don’t have multiple nightmares.

Thats the effin point, most of us are devoted playstation fan and come ont eh boards to discuss the future. That doesnt mean that we cannot get upset. TGS was trash, i coudl have shat better info than that. I am pretty srue most of us are tired of waiting for games, waiting for FW updates that give us in-game XMB, waiting for a promise that home will be here in a couple of monts, waiting for a “open beta” that has not happened yet. All we do is wait wait wait.
Ive been a gamer before playstations inception ive owned every PS. Sony has always delivered. But now they are compeltely falling apart and honestly I am starting to feel the wait is not worth it.
Like someone said before. PS3 new moto should be “Wait Beyond” because thats all the eff we are doing.
