Hello everyone, I’m Shawne Benson, part of the Global Third Party Relations team here at PlayStation. And I’m excited to announce a new State of Play broadcast streaming tomorrow, September 14 at 2pm Pacific.

Tomorrow’s broadcast will focus on updates to previously announced games coming to PlayStation consoles. From indie and PS VR2 highlights, to major upcoming titles from our third-party partners, our latest show has something for everyone!

Here at PlayStation, our vision is to be the best place to play, and publish, great games. And because there are thousands of developers and publishers all around the world constantly making great games, our team has their work cut out for them.

      Low budget indie games for $5-15 a pop is your future for the vr headset. Sony can’t even release titles for their main system, the ps5, let alone something as niche as its headset.

    Amazing, more 3rd party stuff, no 1st party updates whatsoever except another reason to not own PlayStation consoles with the Horizon Forbidden West, waste of time and complete sales and money flop, PC port announcement imminent.

    How utterly tone deaf can you get? Fans have been clamouring for first party news since WAY before the last “showcase” (which was a complete and utter failure) and so for the next showcase… you again choose to keep fans completely in the dark about first party:

    – what are naughty dog doing? Show us
    – What are sucker punch doing? Show us
    – what are SSM doing? Show us
    – what else are guerrilla doing? Show us
    – wolverine? Show us, I mean you’ve shown us nothing else, show us anything at this point!
    – what about all the “second teams” at all these studios? Where are all the projects from said second teams? What’s the point of a second team if you still only release games every 5-6 years???

    I used to have faith, been a PlayStation faithful since 1996, but now I honestly believe there’s a problem. No reason to stay radio silent this long. What is the reason for not having any great first party games ready for release for next year? 🤔 and don’t you dare shadow drop a GAAS pile of trash in place of what your console is known and loved for, ie. great, polished to heaven, single player experiences… where are they!?

    I hope PSVR2 gets a huge number of titles.
    You have an amazing piece of hardware that quite a few people bought but you aren’t supporting it at all.
    So please market the device more and support it for god sake.

    Really dropping the ball this generation, never understood the hate for Jim Ryan until this year. You need to reflect on what made the PS4 so great, and get back to that quickly… How many subscribers have you lost since the unnecessary price hike?

      Good question. A question i have been asking myself since 2021. Its one thing not releasing something that isn’t ready. But what’s happening right now is that they’re not even announcing anything. is that? Have we EVER seen Sony not announce a single title is 2 years? No way, or at least i don’t remember this being the case.

    I’d like to know how they’ll justify the big price increase. Paying for Premium just doesn’t seem worth it to me anymore. I’m not able to play as much as I used to and it seems like it’d be better to just buy games instead of relying on a Premium service that doesn’t feel very Premium

    Literally every single State of Play since the very first was, have been complete and utter trash. They haven’t announced a single new game in what? Over 2 years now? Why do i even own a ps5 is a question i’ve been asking myself in 2023. They don’t announce nor release anything, and all we know about is them working on 5 MTX HELL live service titles.

    Jim Ryan is destroying the playstation brand.

      The live service focus is trash, I agree. It’s been a letdown so far but I’m trying to keep some of my hopes up lol.

      The only multiplayer I want from them is Naughty Dogs and they had to delay it again.

      They can’t even release the trash live service games, tho. We knew of TLOU2 factions before the game was released. Its been almost 3 years since the game came out, and we have no idea in how many years it’ll be release if ever. Like?

    Have you wondered why, over the past year..year and a half, it seems as if PS isn’t putting out games with the same pace as they used too? The new “business model” has EVERYTHING to do with it. Business model as in Sony, Nintendo, & Sega buying studios so that those studios are exclusive to them. So, in the past that studio was putting out games at a mad pace, now they were just bought out by Sega and are now exclusive to them. So now all those games they were putting out for Nintendo & Sony now go away, as in ONLY making games to Sega.
    So yes its aggravating that we haven’t seen games being put out with the same frequency, but we should get used to it as it’s going to be the new norm!!

    Glad to see some new games pumping out! Wish I had more access to older model games but I can’t be one to complain. Spider-Man 2 looks interesting but I’m curious what ever happened to suicide squad kill the justice league??? Also THANK GOD for going ps5 it’s pointless to have this many features and not being able to maximize them in gameplay. Hats off to you sony give the consoles a run for their money!
