    Worst month by far..

  • Awesome really looking forward to trying Dreams as its been in my radar for a long time! and Death’s Door looks like an awesome Indie!

After the AAA games of last month like Alan Wake Remastered and COD Cold War this is such a refresher thanks PlayStation !

  • The most garbage month of 2023 by far. 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • Also I’m glad I ain’t renewing my Plus for this month, get a better lineup for September. ✌️

  • I am interested in death doors also thank you for all the fantastic games in july sony

  • The decision is yours to make, don’t let anyone convince ya’ll otherwise you’ll regret it with the rest of your life, anyone is free to make their own choices not persuaded by some stranger and tell it to your face,as it to me more then once, and to this day i still carry it with me,take my advice for someone who experienced it,go for a game that is acceptable to your preferences, not by anyone’s saying, your preferences only, hope this clears things up for everyone take care of yourselves and have a good month.

    • Also this blog needs fixing as it’s breaking the typing ATT,the one needs to change is Jim Ryan,FIN.

  • SOOOOO many people on here that comment with zero knowledge of what they are talking about. Its crazy.

I already have Dreams but really excited this is going out to everyone. They arent killing any services, its just not being updated.

    Bring on more Creations!

  • Naah, this isn’t it, but Death’s Door looks interesting

  • Golf? Are you kidding? What an awful choice to give us as a main feature game.

  • Finally Dreams is on ps plus

  • Death’s Door is the highlight for me, might give Dreams a try. Honestly I think these last months were OK. Generally I hate PS+ and have hardly downloaded anything since it’s mandatory for online, but on PS5 my experience with it has been slightly better. There was an earlier period which I loved with games like Plague Tale and Control, and this second period since Tony Hawk pro skater has had at least one game I didn’t own and am willing to give a try. Especially some of the indies have really caught my attention, like Toem, Tails of Iron and Trek to Yomi. This month’s Death’s Door looks like a winner too.

  • Glad to see Sony America continues to take a healthy dump on their plus subscribers with yet another set of “free games” that will without a doubt peak no interest in the minds of many gamers. Thanks for slotting the games that no one wanted to pay to play. Real excited to swing a golf club and craft my own game:-{=}

Don’t give a about sports games, least of all golf. Such a bargain bin pick when they do that. Own the other two already but I think both are great. Deaths Door is fun and charming but haven’t got into it much. Dreams is definitely niche but I’d highly recommend playing it during the Halloween event, if they continue to do it. They showcase some amazing user content. Had some really cool on rails horror stuff and even some light gun style sections. The base game is definitely for people that like creating stuff and dedicate time to it.

  • A distinctly underwhelming month, but I guess it’s a good one for golf fans… looking forward to seeing what rotates into the higher tiers of Plus, as they usually end up getting games that make up for poor essential offers.

  • Can we please get some of the SmackDown and or SmackDown VS Raw?

  • I’m glad to see PGA Tour 2K23 because I have been wanting a golf game.

  • monsterkruncher2

While dreams is ok and death’s door looks interesting PGA sucks you guys are seriously slacking on good game choice for Plus

  • Actually pretty happy – if we could get a game like Death’s Door every month that would be great. Zero interest in Golf simulation (or any sports games, with the exception of football (fifa/efootball, and football-lite titles like Rocket league).
What we want from plus is more ‘gamer’s’ games, and that means well recieved indies. Indies Indies Indies. The realistic among us appreciate you’re not gonig to giving away God War every month.. Of recent months on PSplus Tails of Iron, Descenders, Death’s Door, etc. Trek to Yomi looked great, but sadly the gameplay was poor.

There are loads of available high quality indies that can be bought to plus on the cheap for Sony. Every month there are atleast 3 or 4 games hitting Steam that meet the requirements.

And yes, Sea of Stars coming later this month looks very promising and seemingly fits the biil.

  • monsterkruncher2

Is it just me or are they seriously trying to keep forcing people with the sports themed games lately

  • The worst month in the history of ps plus. Step up your game with ps plus Sony.

  • Not bad

  • A horrible month 🤮🤮🥱🥱🥱🥱
I wish I knew the thought process behind some of these decisions but unfortunately my still keeps thinking they’ll be something of value next month then again then again and again,…….

I was crazy once till they locked me in a room a rubber room, with rats 🐀
    🫥 thannnnksss PlayStation 😬👍🏼👍🏼

  • Always been wanting to try out dreams, looking forward to it!

  • I love how people are like I don’t like sports games. Well boohoo. I don’t like certain games but if they appear on plus I don’t complain as someone else DOES like them. Rough with the smooth and all that. As for sports titles having their own tier? We don’t get enough of them and even if we did I still think it’s a bad idea. Next thing you get people saying jrpgs should get their own tier or fps titles should get one. Just enjoy the games you get that you like and disregard the rest and if there’s not enough that you like then don’t resub. As Alexander the meerkat says “simples”. about it won’t change anything other than hinder your enjoyment when playing the odd ps plus game you like as your still fuming about the two you didn’t like.

  • Thank 👍

  • Seriously, Sony?

    This Dreams?

The one they announced back in April they’re ending support for?

And another sports title that will have its MSRP dropped the same day it gets added to PS+ because the next year’s edition launches?

Sony seems to want more and more money for less and less value.

  • Ummm … Guys, don’t you think that you forgot to add something to the news? Besides the pictures under each game?
For example, for which platforms will the game be distributed?

  • I respect all the comments that this month wasn’t good for all. However, I’d also echo comments that Dreams is a very good game that received an 89 metacritic score from 80 critics. It’s a nice PSN selection although it was released in February 2020. Not a bad day to revisit this game. Of course, like many posters, I have the disc for Dreams so I’ll be trading this in to Gamestop.

Also, I’m not a golfer but I enjoy playing golf games with my wife, such as Golf as part of Switch Sports or Hot Shots Golf on PS4 so I’m looking forward to adding PGA Tour 2K23 to my growing backlog.

Finally, I enjoy indie games and games I wouldn’t have had a chance to try otherwise. Death’s Door is one of those types of games.

Overall, this is just an alright month. Thanks Sony

  • This is horrible remove 2k.

  • I can’t wait to play PGA Tour 2K23 Thanks Playstation 👍

  • I’m thinking about canceling my subscription.

  • Look,.. at this stage its getting ridiculous.
I’m SOOOO sick of the awful predictable trash being offered.
One remake, one phone game and either a sport game or a battle-royale style game.

I don’t want ANY of these EVER.

Instead of NOT downloading THIRTY SIX games per year,..
How about i just tell you what i want, and i get,.. say,… 3 selections per year?
    that’s not unreasonable.

The games you choose are like a personalized insult to me, as if i’m being punished for giving you money.
Its time to alter your protocol with the flexibility we deserve.

  • Ew, so not only is the trend for August “Sports Games” it’s “The same cruddy sports game each year.”

  • I like to inform Sony PlayStation this is happening in your Playstation Plus deluxe 12 month regarding reselling in second account Amazon India

  • I like to inform Sony PlayStation this is happening in your Playstation Plus deluxe 12 month regarding reselling in second account Amazon India contact me for more information

  • I’m not that fussed on the game, but is there an error on PGA? Image above clearly shows as PS5/PS4, but Plus seems to be for the PS4 version only – not the Cross Gen version I’d expect? Or are you guys just cheaping out on us?

    • Take it back – think they’ve fixed it in the back end somewhere, as it’s showing both in my library…I’m sure they’ve done this before with EA games, they seem to create a special PS+ version…🤦‍♂️

  • Don’t see the games I still July’s games and it’s August wth not waiting another week for the games

  • Is there a certain time that the monthly games are released

  • Dreams good? Maybe, if you are a child! If you are an adult, it’s horrible.

  • no sports games please
and please link to the page where we can redeem them for this and future articles. The PSN web store is a convoluted mess that takes far too many clicks to find it

  • love PlayStation 4

  • Dreams doesnt install for me. I have tried so many times. I really wanted to check it out and see all the games people had made.

  • I am not one to complain so I don’t mean this in that way but I am getting worried about all these sports games as of late.

There was a time I did dabble in some sports games here and there but over the last 10 years they have become nothing but gacha games that happen to cost 70 dollars up front.
Sports titles with all these packs and crap to buy should be free to play.
What’s worse is these games refresh every year and do the bare minimum possible. Year on year they do not much more than make a new UI over the same game from the year prior just so they can charge fans 70 dollars again.

I really hope this is not indicative of the year to come. Sports games are shovelware. Deaths Door should have taken the highlighted spot this month.
Alas, I do enjoy the game catalog but I will be sad if the monthly games go the way of what Microsoft did.
I have both services and I very much like that they take different approaches.

  • Who comes with these games idea? If it’s a person please just put AI generating random lists cause these last months have been bad

  • Gotta say, “Death’s Door” is a load of fun! 🐦‍⬛

  • Another failure of a month, especially with another dumb Sports game being added, I haven’t played a single Sports game since that one I loved way back on PS1, and I don’t intend to.

Oh well, yet another month of nothing, And I don’t expect September to be any better.

  • Wish there were better games. Not just this month but in general maybe it is catering to the mindless masses maybe it isn’t but i miss flawed games like Ultima online a game with 10% of that content would blow me away the graphics were good enough detailed without the indie impressionist art theme of today. Freelancer not to much content or complexity it was full of too much sawdust but games today are rife with it. old games recycled over and over blue enemy red enemy but games of today make you run a marathon and back only to start again. dragon age inquisition was perfect except that the multiplayer was bad and restrictive. midtown madness was a fun simple racer not too ridiculous or cartoony. age of empires was a not too complex nicely drawn rts/strategy. plants versus zombies was the fun we all strive or yearn for not too complex not hard to navigate some learned strategy’s. alot of these games would have benefitted with dlc content such as pvz added plants more levels etc. company of heroes and the other scorched earth game were the sweet spot of rts /strategy games add orcs or zombies or rats themes and sell another game property. Game developers and publishers skills seem to be devolving in the ever growing nuts and bolts of graphics and files and overlays and pretty light bursts and shiny reflections. The games are to longwinded without the replay over and over fun of the past. Dungeon defenders could have been a model for future games like tower defense precursor games that spawned it. put up barrier add machine gun turrets weehoo fun! The balancing has gone to pot. elephants are mice and mice are godly nuke shooters. arbitrary values makes me sad.

  • Feedback: I hope Stellar Blade will launch with a nice looking steelbook for Australia.

  • This month was trash
I’ve heard rumors about Ghost of Tsushima being on the monthly games of September tho. Just hope the rumors are right since this month was utter garbage
