PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for June + PS5 Game Streaming news update for Premium members

Update: Coded Soul is available as part of the Game Catalog in Japan and Asia regions where PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe is offered. This article has been updated to reflect this.

A year has flown by so quickly since we rolled out our new PlayStation Plus tiered plans, ushering in new benefits to the service such as our Game Catalog and Classics Catalog, along with Game Trials for blockbuster titles. Whether you subscribe to PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra or Premium/Deluxe, it’s been great to see the positive feedback we’ve gotten from players around the world for the quality titles that we offer monthly.

Today, we’re celebrating this wonderful milestone with 10 days of activities for the PlayStation community. It’s also our way of saying thanks to players everywhere for supporting us in this new era for PlayStation Plus.

First off, we have very exciting news for PlayStation Plus Premium members. We’re currently testing cloud streaming for supported PS5 games – this includes PS5 titles from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Game Trials, as well as supported digital PS5 titles that players own. When this feature launches, cloud game streaming for supported PS5 titles will be available for use directly on your PS5 console. That means as a Premium member, it’ll be easier to jump into your favorite games without downloading them first onto your PS5 console. Our goal is to add this as an additional benefit to PlayStation Plus Premium as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the value of PlayStation Plus.

We think it’s important for Premium members to be able to enjoy as many games as possible via cloud streaming. As more games continue to launch on the PS5 console, we look forward to adding cloud streaming capability for PS5 titles in addition to the PS3, PS4 and classic titles that are already available for Premium members to stream. We’re in the early stages right now, and we can’t wait to share more details when we’re ready, including a launch time frame. Stay tuned!

Sackboy is back to celebrate PlayStation Plus with another round of Speedrun challenges. Join us starting on June 24 at 12:01am through June 25 at 11:59pm local time, and enter for a chance to win a 3-month PlayStation Plus Premium or Deluxe membership. Sackboy a Big Adventure is currently part of the Game Catalog for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members, and non-members can also join the challenge if they own the title. Excited to play Rogue Legacy 2. One thing that would really be appreciated is ability cloud game on iPad/iPhone rather than just PC and console.

PC users (cloud streaming) get no love from Sony. You consistently pull titles for which we pay as part of the premium subscription and continue to keep PC streaming enhancements out of your plans.
Please reconsider this and let us enjoy some more features too!

Not much point hyping game streaming additions when despite all the promises at launch,there hasn’t been many regions added for PS Premium,still waiting Down Under!🙄

So,with no offline/local PS3 emulation on ps5,no options there. To date,there has been zero “new” PS2 additions since the original PS2 Classics on PS4 range,a number of which are incompatible or have issues even running on PS5. The most popular console library of titles therefore still remains largely unplayable & unavailable on PS5.

Which just leaves a trickle of PS1/PSP titles currently being added. Third party support has been few & far between. Where’s the likes of Alundra,Dino Crisis 1 & 2,RE2 & RE3,Blood Omen Legacy of Kain,(or the others in the series), Adventures of Lomax, the Colony Wars series,the numerous rpg’s etc?

Thus far the PS Deluxe/”Premium” (*in the few regions its actually available),leaves a lot to be desired…just where is that vast library of classic games Mr Maguire?
Sony really need to do better!

I’m reasonably happy with the Premium service. But Sony could definitly be more forthcoming with the PS1 games.

Where’s the Tomb Raider legacy games, 1-5? I’m itching to play TR3 on the PS5. Alien Trilogy? Dino Crisis? What about Wip3out? Colin McRae?

These fantastic games helped put Playstation on the map and still stand the test of time. They should be celebrated more!

I dont mind the games they release every month for the basic, I dont usually download any of them because they are usual something I dont care to play. Not really all that great on any of the tiers. But I could care less for steaming games that dont work out well or Im having to waste my bandwith over. Thats why I hate online only games, the trouble of logging in on Diablo is just not worth 60 plus bucks. But what really burns my biscuit and will make me drop Plus is that this whole yr we have basically got nothing but a handful of classic games out of thousands that were really good that Sony owns. But the games we see on plus are the majority of ps now and thats really sad. So as much as I like some of it like trials, there isnt much to keep me subbed to this for the next yr.

Don’t sleep on the game Inscryption, it’s a card deckbuilding rogue type horror puzzle humorous game, it’s hard to describe but it’s quite addictive. Definitely a little gem.

i’m a lil disappointed with the lineup this week…

after hooking me with the discounted premium pass, they announce a major event for the one year anniversary. we got far cry 6…and 20+ games that aren’t selling well. i’m gonna give tmnt a go but it’s an arcade game at best.

i’m not trying to hate but i feel like i got robbed. how much thought and effort actually went into this event? this is sony playstation we’re talking about here. i know they can do more for their loyal fan base…

The ps5 giveaway participation page is so broken, in the US site you have the last question as “Horizon Forbidden West landed on PlayStation Plus in February. Since then, what is Aloy’s total flying distance?” which you can answer with the infographic easily, but in other sites (like spain) you have “how many hours of online multiplayer have been played globally in the past year (from may 2022 to may 2023)” which theres no way to answer and you provide no info on that at all, and you can’t even read half that bc it’s inside the textbox where you type and it gets cut off mid sentence, you have to inspect the webpage to read what you’re supposed to input, also, once you participate no email confirming anything and you can reload and participate again if you want, this is so broken i doubt it’s even real lol

Was happy to see Herc’s Adventures but low and behold again no trophy list. PlayStation really need to start pushing for more trophy lists to be added to the Premium games because I can just replay these games on my PS3 and with no added trophy list doesn’t give many added incentive to play the games. Hopefully we will see an added trophy list if the future like we have in the past.

Sony include Metal Saga from ATLUS PS2 port,as this is your last chance till November,if i see any more ballbag games,I’ll be going back to essential tier,as so far nothing your industry has me content,therefore essential is still good regardless as it allows you to have cloud storage online save and online play,not worth renewing euros a year just for bland games,no negotiations sony as i still loathe you for removing psn community 2 years ago at april,and your offers are still weak to begin with,sayanara gajin.

I’m reading an article about a PS5/PSVR2 giveaway contest on this page, but when I try to follow the link to enter the contest…….. nothing. Apparently, I’m not the only one who isn’t getting a chance to enter. And, it clearly states that my country’s entry start date was yesterday.
With others stating if you get to the question part of the entry, that’s got glitches also. Is this just some terrible way of not having to give anything away for free, by having a glitched mess where no one can even enter the contest, or is this a way of making sure someone from a specific place “wins” the contest?

You need to take a step up and do better with PS+ Game Collection, it means more Day One new games including AAA and Indie games, if you don’t you’re losing to Xbox because they do offer a lot of Day One games for Xbox games.
