  • Mortal shell and Lego are the only good two.

  • Great, a glorified demo of an awful game and more games that have dlc (which is never included), what a generous offering in the Christmas month, Sony, why do you hate us?.

    • I never comment on these but felt the need to say something after how awful this month is.

It’s pretty disingenuous to suggest we’re getting a “full fledged” rpg with Godfall when we’re getting a version that jettisons us past the campaign to get us right to an endgame grind that most describe as the best part of the game. Yes, I get that some of that content can be revisited but what we’re getting is basically a chopped down version that can be resold to us in chunks. It sets a terribly bad precedent and something that should absolutely be called out.

Then there’s Mortal Shell locking us out of the free PS5 upgrade. I get there are contracts and stuff but that’s a bit ridiculous in my mind, especially considering when we got Control we were able to get the PS5 upgrade for free. It’s just cheap and a really, really bad look. As a PS5 owner if I want mortal shell I’m better off buying the PS4 version secondhand for peanuts and upgrading than I am claiming the copy being given out on ps+.

I get these games are free on top of the features PS+ gives us but this month is probably the worst one in recent memory, especially if you are a ps5 owner. The way the two titles are being given (esp. Godfall) sets terrible precedents that deserve to be called out.

  • Godfall as demo? Really Sony?

  • I am curious when we will get the promissed 100GB cloud, because 1000 files cloud, that let me use 15GB is really far from it.

  • Oh boy, just what you want out ofa premium subscription for a coveted console: a gimped version of a mediocre game. If garbage is being handed out, at least hand out full bags.

  • Region 3 Gets Judgement and we get this. Thanks for the Big FU to us Sony. Judgement alone is better then the whole month’s Line Up.

  • A demo? Seriously Sony

  • Another useless month for PS+. Shame on you, Sony!

  • Godfall it’s.. like a demo ?!?!? Really Sony. Come on, put a PS5 game in the December month and not a demo.

  • So it starts off with a glorified demo this month and what next month? This is totally unforgivable and a poor example of how to treat loyal customers.

  • How hard is it to just do something, ANYTHING decent for Christamas PlayStation???

Nobody is going look back and remember the Christmas Day they opened a brand new PS5 and downloaded GodAwfall lol. You have to deliberately try, to screw something up this bad.
Something like Kena would have been ten times better but obviously it’s just out and more people would have been upset by this.

Where is the Gran Turismo demo we would have got by now 3 months before launch like with GT6? Surely you can get a demo ready for Christmas like with the GT Concept demo on PS3 in 2006?

Every single week it becomes more clear why Shawn Layden and Andrew House bailed. They saw all the terrible crap that was coming.

    • You know how it goes rubbish for December and good line up for January to get those Christmas playstations on plus after the 14 day trial

    • Exactly. Merry Christmas Sony. Thanks for the demo wanna be. Doesn’t even have part of the story mode. But thanks for offering a 45$ upgrade to us for the full version. Stay classy Playstation 🤑🤑🤑

  • I pay for ps plus so I can enjoy new games every month. Godfall is only the demo, what am I supposed to do with that. I give u my money and u can’t even give me a full game????

  • Thank you, Sony, for a great Christmas present! Now, instead of playing Godfall storyline, I am seriously thinking of buying myself XBOX. Thank you again, Sony.

  • A fraction of Godfall? This is really poor, I’m not paying for ps plus to get glorified demos, and of a game that metacritic’ed at 61% in the first place

  • Tsk I should have used an asian account if only I knew they were getting more for the same price.

  • All I can say, is GodFall Challenger Edition is only the end-game, so no main campaigns. Mortal Shell is good though.

  • 5 out of 10, not bad but not good either.

  • Godfall: Challenger Edition is basically a trial version of the game, that just sucks. Godfall is already a lackluster game downgrading it even further is xbox-games-with-gold-level-cheap.

  • So, if I understand it correctly. PS5 is getting a cut down version of an already mediocre game. Why?

    • No clue. Sony is just busted like that sometimes. I just want sea of thieves to come to PlayStation but it will never happen seeing as they are rival companies and all.

    • A cut down version that Epic Games just gave away -free of charge-

  • I have played that Lego game before. Takes me back to when they were popular.

  • SIE need a better President and CEO.
    Make Playstation Great Again!

  • This Godfall edition should not be the PS5 PS+ game for the month. If they want to push out a free end game demo of sorts to drive up interest, that’s fine but PS+ should always provide full games in its monthly offerings. Having said that, Mortal Shell is amazing and I highly recommend it. Protip: Make sure you backup your saves before boss fights.

  • At least consideer to change mortal shell to the enhanced edition. It cost the same than the regular one and is free if you have the regular one. is also the proper way to play this game for us, PS5 owners. No single person who claim this game will ever buy the enhanced edition, there’s no reason to do that. Also, ps5 owners are just getting a third of a ps5 game this month and you’re giving to ps4 owners 3 games including a version of this godfall thing. That alone could kind of save this month and will cost nothing more to Sony.

  • this could be a good month, but they screw up how they could bring a DEMO of godfall and not the complete experience this its deceiving. sony need to improve not to nerf the things that they “giveaway”

  • Now Sony is giving glorified demos on PS Plus. Their service only gets worse.

  • another weak month to an already bad year. i’m starting to think i won’t be reupping my sub when it expires in june.

  • I miss the time when we used to vote for our next PS Plus game. Wish Sony would bring that back.

    • Wait, I had ps plus since it was on ps3, I don’t remember there ever was an option to vote. What region are you in? I’m in EU.

    • I only know of one time and it failed more than you can ever imagine.
The choice of three games all mediocre but not rubbish
The votes were made and two thirds were so upset that they lost. It never was repeated

  • Epic Game Store is also giving away the same demo version of Godfall, such good value PS+ is

  • Godfall Challenger is a demo, not a full game. Please fix that.

  • Godfall: Challenger Edition, what a slap to the face to ps5 users.

  • Ps plus is becoming a joke they are giving us godfall and it’s not even the fall game more like a demo what a joke

  • So now we’re getting demos as PS Plus free games??? What???

  • Sorry, but this bizarre version of God Fall is a joke.

  • Sorry, but this bizarre version of God Fall is a bit of an insult.

  • Sony, just a heads up: including a demo as the “free PS5 game of the month” does not make a great value case for PS Plus.

  • Disgraceful

  • PS please give us some games that are more popular. Last December we got COD ww2 and Battlefront II these feel like a low blow.

  • Way to finish the year Sony… with a whimper. I guess there’s at least the lego game….. Heh, this month sucks for PS5 owners, sadly.

  • A demo as a monthly game? SERIOUSLY!?! Not even going to bother adding it to my collection.. I play games for campaigns.. story.. ok truly sick of game after game now being released where the devs have decided to not bother sticking a story in it.. there’s a reason I’m playing less and less games and buying less games.. we cannot accept or excuse getting a demo for a monthly game or Sony will think it’s acceptable in the future and make it a norm. I only pay PS+ for those monthly games so if I’m getting demos I may as well cancel the subscription.

@iamtylerdurden1 – I play games for story.. no campaign means little to no interest for me.

  • You’re seriously giving us a demo of Godfall as a PS Plus game? Wow. Disappointing.

  • Lol

    Regard,
    John Earwig

  • A demo for PS5? Really?!?!

  • The worst part is Epic is giving away Godfall Challenger Edition for free on the 9th and we dont have to pay to get a game (part of a game) no one wants.

  • Sony is just barely paying lip-service to the monthly games thing. It’s happy with the captive audience of online multiplayer users.

  • The asian region gets 4 games (including Judgement).
    Let that sink in.

  • Playstation is going mad day by day
They can’t give resident evil 7 or evil within 2

  • Çöp

  • lol a demo is the PS5 game. Far out this service has gone down hill.

  • I’ve had my fair share of stresses with PlayStation and there “buy a game and will place it on ps plus the next month later free of charge and give you no refund”.

But to !side track! People’s perception of what there getting is beyond me.

Ps: I know let’s give them a ps5 game we know everyone is going to hyed about. But let’s give them a Demo of it slyly and call it an edition rather than “demo” ;)

Gamers: finally can get to play godfall, well worth the ps plus subscription now! Wait what a demo!!

Don’t even give them download stats or they will do this again. Don’t even add it to your library. Sony sort this out it’s wrong on so many levels!
