  • Great lineup.

Wreckfest PS5 and Battlefield V are undeniably big games and Stranded deep released on PS4 only a year ago and compliments them well. I don’t own any of these and I am personally excited.

Sure beats Games with Gold. Dungeons 3, Armello, and Tropico 4 on 360 and a Lego game from 2008.

I am truly baffled by the mouth breathing masses. It’s shocking that people are largely trashing this lineup. Propaganda is at an all-time high. People are sheep right now. I swear on Xbox announced that slop they call a lineup for Games with Gold it got a more positive reception than this. Unreal have the media and powerful corporations can shape public opinion. You don’t even have to deliver good results you just have to deliver great PR. Keep sheepin ppl. Keep fighting that bad fight. I guess the world we live in now is one that sees PlayStation not delivering and Xbox doing nothing but delivering greatness despite lying about performance and providing no games. Now battlefield 5 and Wreckfest are worse gets then something called dungeons 3 and Armello. Man, there was literally a petition when Sony gave all strategy games a year ago but when Xbox does it people eat it up. It’s wild. The Fox News of gaming. It’s a Jake Paul, TMZ world. I really need to adjust my expectations.

    • Honestly there’s no need to be shocked. Should be expected. People will always bad mouth something, sometimes for no reason other than just feeling like it. You can have a few amazing months and one bad and suddenly it’s like it’s the worst thing ever. Although I don’t consider these games bad by any means. I enjoyed wreckfest and I’m glad it’s getting a ps5 update. The ps4 version took a very long time to load matches. I have both Xbox Ultimate and PS Now and Plus, it’s just great to get variety even if the games may not look “great” at first. My younger self definitely would’ve been ecstatic to such easy access.

    • Just because you like it doesn’t mean everyone will, or that it’s good in general for that matter.
Nor when it’s better compared to Xbox. People shouldn’t be embarrassed to voice negative opinions, it’s all precious feedback.

    • I don’t like stranded deep as I own it and first handed seen it slow down with every thing you make to the point you feel like your in slow motion. Answer to fix it make items on multiple islands so that you don’t crash the frame rate for it loading things in.

Battlefield meh but good for some

Wreakfest is a good game and happy I don’t have to pay for upgrade now.

And I don’t really care about plus games or xbox games as in who gets what. It’s all down to personal taste and if someone says they hate the games who cares they don’t have any power to change it unless its a soccer game

    • Are people with a deviated septum or respiratory cancers considered naturally less intelligent or in the US? I’m sure loads of people with respiratory problems like whatever Sony pumps out too.

To be honest I’d probably take Armello or an old assed Lego game or basically anything over a boring “drink every 5 minutes” “survival” “game”. Or a copy/paste multiplayer shooter that’s probably got no one playing anymore.

What’s left is a PS4 game on PS5. Which when there’s no real reason to buy a PS5 yet (you know because there’s no proper PS5 games other than a PS3 game, 2 mini games, a massively overpriced roguelike and $96 PS4 titles) so isn’t something I can even play. Playing PS4 games slightly better isn’t really a reason to buy a new console.

Only a complete “sheep” would congratulate a company for not even providing a single full first party title for a console 6 months after it launched as some glorious achievement.

Neither company is doing great things. Don’t be ridiculous. You’d think with your respiratory health you’d know and understand better.

    • Yeah this lineup is definitely one of the better ones we’ve had for the past couple of months and I don’t see why people are hating on it so much

    • Yeah this lineup is definitely one of the better ones we’ve had for the past couple of months and I don’t see why people are hating on it so much because even if they’re aren’t the best games created they’re still good

  • These games are great, however they’re also PS Now games as well. It’s happened before. They’re supposed to be two different services as I’m paying for both. I wonder if they should just merge them at this point? Or at least have a price bundle IF you’re already paying for one like Xbox Pass Ultimate. Although if I ever cancel Now I’ll have access via Plus. Anywho for those without Now you’ll definitely enjoy these games.

  • If y’all wanted everybody to buy a Xbox just say that

  • Wreckfest is a hidden gem!! Can’t wait for my PS5 upgrade June 1st!!

    • Why are you waiting an extra month when it says ps5 version on May 4th… Upgrade is in June for ps4 people moving to ps5 at the cost of ten pounds /bucks/euros

  • Well that bite’s for me. I bought Battlefield V and Wreakfest when they where on sale and I haven’t even played them yet.

I’ve been to busy playing Battlefield 4.

  • Bruh what a garbage month

  • May the 4th be with you…

  • Great month for me! Deep Stranded seem really interesting. I used to dislike FPS games, but recently I took the time to get better on COD Cold War, so it will be nice to give a try on BF5.

  • My 4th copy of bf5 first 1 i got disc second i got it digitally 3 rd from ea access nd 4th from psplus but still gr8 month for those who dont own it, it aint that bad tbh

  • I’m excited to get BF5 as I own the other two. I don’t enjoy Wreckfest as much as NFS Heat or the crew but it’s still a solid game, the PS5 upgrade will be 9.99. Stranded is good sometimes the islands feel small and resources run tight, but that’s what makes it fun. Especially when you find a flashlight in a shipwreck and it lasts forever.

  • Excellent choices! Too bad I already own all of these. 😭

  • Those choices are good but I rather see Persona 5 Royal and Dragon Ball FighterZ being the next free PS4 games for PS4 and Godfall for PS5 for June Monthly games with PS Plus

  • Oh well… Control is one of those rare PS+ gems I’m thoroughly enjoying, so that should balance some of the disappointment for the coming months. I figured that great month was bound to be more of the exception than the rule. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much, there’s hardly anything for PS5 in general. BF5 not the greatest BF but not bad, already own it. Stranded deep survival not my thing and Wreckfest (together with Worms) my least favorite PS5 offers so far.

  • PSN has been killing it since the PS5 has come out. Overall this is a good albeit not a great month.

BF5 is a quality game that is worth it for the short campaign alone. I’m not familiar with Stranded Deep but I enjoy survival games so I can’t wait to give it a try. I’ll save Wreckfest until I find a PS5 that isn’t overpriced from a scalper. Keep up the nice selection of monthly games Sony.

  • Now I finally got all the battlefield collection in my library. Thanks Sony. This month line up is going to get fire up. Get wait to download these games.

  • Damn that’s a great month…won’t even bother to get mad at Wreckfest recycled for PS5 y’all can get a free pass for it cuz the fact that we’re getting crappy BF5 is just wonderful…would never pay for it and like I always say these are the games to be on Plus, games we wouldn’t pay for.I honestly couldn’t ask for anything better than BF5 lol, perfect Plus game. And Stranded Deep is a great offer too…game looks good,I was interested on it and now I don’t need to wait for a sale anymore hehe.

Not bad Sony.Less AAA successful games and more AAA flop games or low budget games…keep it up.

    • Oh yes I forgot “the richest, most immersive Battlefield yet”??….that’s EA’s description of BF5 right?…LMAO bunch of jokers as always.

  • 战地五用手柄玩,岂不是找虐。

  • Why is this blog still worse than how the EU blog was a couple years ago?

  • This to me is quite a rip off do to the fact that 2 of these games are already available on PSnow. So for those who have both PSnow and PSplus. So that would mean the PSplus would only be offering one free game. And really they only lend you the PSplus games because they are not really yours to keep and play forever do to the fact that if you dont have the plus account active you cant play any of the games you aquired from plus. Quite lame from where i see it

    • This is actually the biggest reason I’m not getting PS Now. The selection in my region isn’t all that great anyway and all the better titles seem to be dropping to PS plus too, so I just don’t see the point. They really need to try and find separate decent titles for PS Now and PS plus, if they ever want people to actually have both.

  • Great… Another useless month for anyone that either already have these games, have a PSNow subscription or just don’t like these games.
I have access to these games already and have no desire whatsoever to play ANY of them and am sure I’m not alone.

    • “Another useless month for anyone that either already have these games, have a PSNow subscription or just don’t like these games.”

I mean… isn’t that always guaranteed to be the case, no matter what? :D

  • have you ever bought a game from the store then after buying it you check what next months ps plus games are going to be only to see the game you just got on there
    WTH playstation

  • tbh just to fit the theme they should have done a star wars game just because it’s may the 4th

  • im excited for stranded deep,i almost bought it a few times im glad i didnt lol i already have BFV

  • I’ve never “gotten” survival games. Do people really find it fun eating and drinking every 5 minutes? Or wandering around aimlessly collecting mundane junk?

The Conan game that was on Plus was pretty terrible, until I found you could turn off all the eating/drinking/hot/cold rubbish. There was actually a fairly fun adventure and exploration game hidden under all that tedious crap. So I’m not sure they felt the need to ruin a fun adventure with babysitting a toddler.

So hopefully you can turn off all those boring mechanics. They’re just not fun or add any kind of entertainment value.

    • I personally even installed mods for Skyrim that made it so I’ll freeze to death if I head to snowy areas and fall in a river and don’t have wood to make a fire to dry up… and how foods either buffed me or debuffed me if I didn’t have anything to eat.

So, yes, I certainly do enjoy it. Sure, some games can absolutely do it so that it’s very tedious, but overall I like how it adds an element of planning, needing to be prepared for trips and eating good food to buff you for a certain challenge etc.

When I played Stranded Deep on PC early access quite a long ago, it wasn’t bad imo, though I generally like them.

Quite atmospheric getting cozy with a campfire, cooking up something to eat and just taking the sunset in etc.

    • Oh and wanna add that; I do understand though why someone might not be into it.
Different tastes! Hopefully it will have an option for it.. haven’t played it in such a long time, that I don’t know.

    • I like planning in games too! I spent loads of time in Monster Hunter making armor sets and balancing “builds” in games like Dark souls. I mean in the original PS2 Monster Hunter you’d need to do “potion missions”, “ammo runs” and “steak runs” to fight bigger monsters (something which was toned down heavily as the series progressed).

I think what I don’t really like is how repetitive lots of survival games generally are. Having to spend hours and hours and hours gathering sticks and berries and sleeping so your stamina gauge refills kind of feels a bit timesinky.

Hopefully you can indeed turn off all of that. Or at least the in game character be as resilient as a normal person (so not need to eat every 10 minutes or be killed).. 😁

    • Oh but, it’s good that you enjoy those things and it’s great that there’s different games for different tastes! Games always need is different things and different audiences. Otherwise things get stale fast.

Though I mean. Not as fast as the food in a survival game.. 😂

    • yes, people do enjoy these things in a survival game, you could say of any genre youre not a fan of – do you like kicking and punching repeatedly round aftter round in a fighting game ?or jumping & slashing baddies again and again that game..that may seem mundane to some.

  • Wreckfest is for “PS5” and mentions “*PS5 console only; PlayStation Plus benefit not applicable for Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last on PS4.”
but the trailer for the PS5 version just dropped and stated it comes out June 1st…

    So… huh?

  • This is a pretty good lineup for me. Looking forward to trying these ones out.

  • I don’t like the games of this month! I hope the next one.

  • They should pick something else other than battlefield 5

  • You know what’s stupid about this lineup? (Almost) ALL these games are available with EA Play and PS Now.

  • Hey wouldn’t it be nice if some of us 1st adopters of Playstation Plus could get something of a reward for length of membership? Like maybe you know seniority on the preorders of new consoles? This 1st adopter signed up day one for ps5 and never even got an invite for preorder. I’m a life long playstation fan (own every system except ps5, includes PSP and vita). Just think scalpers and Ebay stores got priority.

  • Missed opportunity to give us only Star Wars titles on May 4th. =) Wreckfest looks cool. I’m excited to try it out!

  • How is the PS5 version available on the 4th when the company states the PS5 upgrade comes out June 1st?

  • Lmao I’m so annoyed rn because I just bought Stranded Deep a couple weeks ago and now it’s releasing for free

  • Stranded Deep is a lot of fun!

  • I’m glad I sold my PS5, the line up has been weak. Destruction All-Stars was about the only thing good.

Sorry Sony, you have lost me. I’m now on PC.

  • ive had BFV since launch, really happy were going to get a fresh influx ofplayers…the game got tarnished after the reveal trailer but imo its the battlefield with the best gameplay in the series, with some beautiful big maps.. be sure to checkout the breakthrough game mode where one team has to defend different sector against the attackers …its a cracking game.

  • Not all games are available in Thailand.
    Why?

  • Some of these games will not be available in Thailand.
    Why?
    Zombie Army not available.

  • Playstation. Keep. Up. Good. Work. Jesus. Loves. U. Much. Love. Proud. Im. PlayStation plus. Plan

  • not bad, not bad at all

  • I checked with THQ Nordic about Wreckfest and they have confirmed that it will come with all previous patches, DLC and seasons

    • Yes the dlc is there if you owned it on ps4… Your getting the base game if you did not (info =bugbear Facebook Q&A)

  • Gotta say, this is a good month for me, I’ve been meaning to check out bf5 for some time and forgot all about stranded deep but will definitely be checking it out as I have again always wanted to check it out. But I’m still left wondering…why the heck has Playstation yet to release Resident evil 7 on plus yet, especially with the recent release of re Village demos. Its a perfect time to release 7 to get players who haven’t experienced it yet, to get in a get a good feel for the next game. I’ve been patiently waiting for it to appear on psplus.

    • RE 7 is one of the “PS Plus collection” games I guess, so it technically has been on Plus if you own a PS5. Pretty much all of those games have come to proper Plus at some point (like last month), so it might be coming. Maybe.

  • So much better than Aprils games. Looking forward to playing them

  • It kind of sucks that I can’t reserve PS5 games on my PS4. Especially when I cant get a PS5 unless I buy one from a scalper.

  • For the first time since owning a PlayStation I have no interest in next month’s ps+ not because they are bad but I already own all 3 on ps4. But it’s not a bad thing as hopefully this will add new players into bf5.

  • It’s not great. Also not having the PS5 in India doesn’t help. Kindly help.

  • I have the disc version of bfv so having the digital version world be pretty convenient

  • is wreckfest only on ps5 or can you still download it on ps4?

  • Looking forward to try stranded deep.
    I really like survival games.

  • Great month? A great month would be an announcement that PlayStation has stopped playing there bs with the ps5 console and fill the shelves already this is all bs this company has been around for many years and for them to not have an idea of how many consoles would sell them there dumb as well as they seem to be get real
