PlayStation.Blog Game of the Year polls are live [polls closed]

Best Soundtrack is so difficult. I mean, whichever game had the most memorable song that played in a specific level or area is considered to me to be an instant nominee for Best Soundtrack. The more memorable songs, the better the nominee.

While many of those games in that list featured many greats songs. The 3 games whose music was memorable and stood out the most imo were DOOM: ETERNAL and the 2 that didn’t make the list; Genshin Impact and Destiny 2: Beyond Light. Below I wrote each of their soundtracks most memorable pieces and what made them so legendary.

When becoming the unstoppable force that is the DOOM Slayer, you’re supposed to fear nothing. It’s only when stepping into Heaven though, you realize that simply isn’t the case. DOOM ETERNAL’s “Voices Of Urdak” knocked it out of the park at trying to stop you in your tracks and bring you a sense of fear when it came to it’s depiction of Heaven.

Genshin Impact on the other hand takes you on a journey in the first half to prepare you with your fight against the mighty Dvalin. Along the way, a fellow named Razor shows you Dvalin isn’t the only thing you needed to worry about. Genshin Impact’s “Symphony Of Boreal Wind” is an epic track that plays in the duel against Andrius. A foe that rivals Dvalin.

And as for Destiny 2: Beyond Light. No depressing track that came out this year even compared to what Bungie brought it’s players. The “Deep Stone Lullaby” that plays as Guardians traverse outside of one of Clovis Bray’s last space stations on their way to kill an old foe just like old times in the Deep Stone Crypt Raid is superb. It’s a throwback to what made Bungie and Destiny so great. However, it’s a shame. Shame many players won’t experience it.

Whatever game you pick. Just know your answer will face godlike judgement. May it extend eternally.
