PlayStation 5’s launch expands around the world

Hi all – PlayStation 5’s launch expanded this week to include more territories in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America, joining Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea, and the United States last week.

To welcome this new generation of gaming, the PlayStation team worked to light up iconic buildings and popular sites in 25 territories all around the world, projecting images of the PlayStation shapes, the PS5 console, the DualSense wireless controller, and other PlayStation brand imagery.

Improve your restock and buyers policy. 3 times robbed out of my cart and sick of seeing sold out everywhere and than facebook tells me 500 people in my area have 6 each going for 1200 a d**n piece . So sickened by this and how little Playstation has done for it’s loyal customers . I can only see this lasting into next year and prices skyrocketing and robbing deserved people right before the Holidays in a bloody pandemic when we are all mostly inside away from others. Get your stuff together Sony !!! With the most respect but the most utter disappointment on this release , I wish you all Happy Holidays and a better year in 2021 .

  Man same here!!! I don’t know anybody in my city that got what they wanted because once all the preorders sold, it was post selling on facebook where people took bids for multiple PS5’s from the same people that were found out to work at these places that got the certain number preorders. From what i saw with me going on the Very 1st minute the preorders became available there was only 2 of each type of PS5. Around the same per store with one store each of walmart, EB games and Bestbuy. I don’t even know what other places did because only three advertised and showed a couple, literally 2 per store of each. But all of a sudden when they are delivered these people that you can clearly see is this person that works at Walmart or said stores off loading at such a markup its ludacris. Its all a conspiracy i tell ya. LMAO

So i hope this is not real but if so Awesome!!! So thats where my hard years earned Playstation Enthusiast since day 1 PS5 Trophy went. To all these youtubers that want more subscribers. Im glad it was all about the equal and fair distribution for all of Playstations users over the past 26 years. So much that people half my age that never worked a hard days work gets to put their names on much more then the 1 per household alotment till readily available which i saw on every website selling them. It was suppose to be fair for every Playstation die hard to get that lucky chance that they could get a PS5 or which ever Playstation console that ever came out always at the launch. I am seeing Youtubers after Youtubers having donations or merch buys for points towards PS5 prize giveaways and they literally have 5-10-20 PS5’S INFRONT of them that I imagine they are actually giving away. So could you guys at Sony maybe elaborate on this? Or did certain places just screw us over. I literally only know 2 people on my Playstation friends list that got them and not the ones they really wanted. As for preorders that came to our Walmart, bestbuy and Ebgames was like 2 of each kind the digital and HDBluray. Is this how hurtin all this really is or did corporate people just somehow get more then one over on literally whole cities. That would be a huge cash grab for city buy and sells on facebook. The only thing I’m seeing in the people that got them significantly was major populous cities. My city was always booming with console releases because in the winter sometimes its soo cold that’s all that can be done up here in Northern Canada. I really hope the next big majority shipments go physically to the stores in Small cities north of Toronto, Canada. Physically so truckers see them come in, and stores have to have signs saying in stock. No pre-orders because its already out, first come first serve now. I swear the wool was pulled over our eyes here in our city and all the corporate insiders to these stores out the only people to get them. Is it a conspiracy? LOL I don’t even know anymore.

I have to say I’m very upset with SONY and how they’re handling distribution of these consoles! I understand the concern of covid and don’t want to add to it by all consumers rushing to the store but Bots are ordering before we can and being sold on eBay for $1,000-$3,000!! Instead of releasing 2 or 3 at a time to stores online, we all should be able to order directly from SONY and SCHEDULE A PICK UP from retailers! I have never been so disappointed with SONY until NOW! #DOBETTERSONY

I understand that the PS5s are in great demand. What I don’t understand is the continued selling online when you know that the BOTS are buying up the merchandise before it even hits the net. Places like Best Buy, Target, Wal Mart, etc are only selling online now so unless you want to pay quadruple the price of the PS5 (or no way can afford it with the pandemic crisis going on), then you have no choice of getting one for your child. My kid has owned every Playstation that has come out because it was sold accordingly. Once again, I understand the shortage, but there has to be a better way than making some people rich off of this situation. A better way of distribution. People, please quit buying off the scalpers!!
