Last chance to pick up September’s PS Plus games

A new wave of titles means we have to wave goodbye to last month’s. So make sure not to miss out on adding Street Fighter V and PUBG: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to your PS4 library before both exit PS Plus on October 5.

  • I’ve wanted to play Vampyre but didn’t want to pay for it. And I’ve never seen it in Now.

  • I’ve always wanted to check Vampyr out, so that’s good news for me. I don’t really care for NFS past (the original) Most Wanted, so not that excited for Payback.

  • I want to use the PlayStation as soon as possible

  • I don’t believe it… Two games… I actually… Quite like the look of?! 😂

  • I love playing Need for Speed Payback . im on it right now. I really suggest anyone who likes racing games and or if your just getting into racing games this is where you should start in my opinion. I would say NFS Heat is but Payback has a bit of breathing room for police chases and the mix of different race specs there is to choose from . its just a really well built game the only thing that i think is wrong with it is that there isnt more of it.

  • Too bad I have them AGAIN. Thanks for nothing!

  • This is the worst selection ever! Especially for October 2020 horrible I’ve seen better but this definitely not it! We could’ve had instead and I’ll give you a clue MediEvil and possibly a Resident Evil game! 😤🤢🤮

    • Medievil?…game ain’t even 1 year old and you want it on the lineup?…get a grip dude.If you want the game so bad go and F buy it…the game deserves support.

  • Two games I don’t own and don’t mind getting. That’s rare.

  • This is now the 5th month that I haven’t downloaded any of those Plus games but I did try PUG but that’s it. Not impressed come on Sony you can do better! This is not it! 🤢🤮

  • That game isn’t an “RPG”.

It’s an action game with “RPG elements”.

It would be nice to actually get an RPG at some point. 😜

  • I hate when the free games are announced and it’s a game I already have. Regardless, this version of Need for Speed (Payback) is one of the best racers I have played. It adds elements you dont see in racing games, which makes it more immersive. I have never played Vampyre, but I will now.

  • I’m really happy about Vampyr!

  • Very nice month for me!
I almost bought Vampyr a few months ago.
    Thanks! :-)

  • Best month in a long time for me. No complaints.

  • Nice. Don’t have these yet. Luckily didn’t get them when they are on sale.

  • I don’t know why everybody’s whining about the games being on PS Now and or EA Play. Not all countries even have PS Now and only a fraction of the overall Plus subscribers actually own it. Does that mean any and all games on PS Now and the few dozen games on EA Play should be completely off limits to Plus owners who haven’t already bought them?

I’m not even defending Playstation here, they’ve given out absolutely terrible, bottom of the barrel stuff for most of this year. Only a handful of good titles were given out (looking at you Rise of the Tomb Raider)….September’s titles were also completely useless to me. I’m a fighting game aficionado, but as a trophy hunter I don’t like Streetfighter or King Of Fighters because of their over the top requirements. And I absolutely do not play battle royale games, but I’ll give PUBG a chance just to see why it’s so addictive for everyone (especially on mobile).

This month is actually quite good. Not phenomenal or amazing but very very good compared to previous months’ offerings. Payback wasn’t a commercial success, so people who wanted to try it out can do so now. I was hoping to get NFS Rivals or 2015 before we got Payback but it’s all good I’ll gladly add it to my NFS collection. And I’ve been waiting to get Vampyre for a couple of years now and was pleasantly surprised that it was offered.

Stop whining about games already on other subscriptions people, seriously. Just because those subs allow you to play any game available on it, doesn’t mean you have to play EVERY game available on it…..there are people who don’t have access to nor care about paying extra for a small collection of games that you don’t even own and can’t even play without being online! Not to mention the input lag.

I normally don’t post on here, and I know full well not everybody can be pleased. But when we finally get decent games and people still whine and moan and bitch about something or the other I just can’t take it.

  • Good line-up this time, for my personal taste anyway. I’m a PsNow subscriber so I could’ve already been playing Vampyr if I wanted too, but still, it ain’t no freaking CoD no more. LOL.

    XD

  • Nice as I haven’t got or palyed either. I can see myself playing Vampyr a fair bit as I love anything Vampire, Lycan and Warlock.
I don’t know a great deal about Payback my friend said it was decent enough.

  • already own vampyr its not a bad game but the combat kinda sucks. zero intrest in a NFS game since last i knew those just haven’t been good this gen. honestly at this point i wish you have the option to pause your ps+ sub similar to how humble bundle lets you cause i haven’t been happy about the offerings for about 6 months and i haven’t used MP in even longer than that.

  • Any date on when we will be able to buy\pre-order PS5 Games from the Playstation Store?

  • The plus/now crossover rate is getting frustrating. I get it once in a blue moon, but this is getting ridiculous. I’m glad ppl who only subscribe to plus get to play it too, don’t get me wrong. It’s just lame to pay for two separate subscriptions and have Sony constantly double dipping like this.

  • Finally, something at least partially decent. 2020 has been an absolute crapshoot otherwise in terms of the free monthlies for PS+ users.

  • I’ve not played Vampyre before…which is a little strange given my PSN ID!! Sony need to do the good thing and merge Playstation Plus and Now, because it is pointless them being kept apart especially when all we seem to do is get given PS Now games for our Free Monthly.

I do also have EA Play so already have NFS Payback so am not overly bothered by that one.

  • Great lineup,as always bastards will complain.Vampyr is a perfect PERFECT choice for the lineup and for that I say thanks…one of those games that looks good but at the same time doesn’t in other words it has been in ma doubt zone and there’s literally no better way to get it than through Plus.

  • Good games but not worth to buy PS+ next year…. i expect atleast one 59.99$ game like witcher 3 or RDR 2 or GTA ,etc.

  • Vampyr is a game that I wanted to check out but never got around to buying. Need for Speed is not my cup of tea.

  • Where is the information on the PS5? We know nothing about the software it’s running.

  • Question, when Sony gonna announce PS now games for October? I had been waiting to hear a announcement.

  • Last few months of PS plus games have been new to me as I never played them. Looking forward to this as well.

  • Playstation, if you see this you guys should do NFS: Heat, And Black ops 4… two great idea for November games.

  • You know what would be cool? If there were 4 or so options for free games each month and we could pick two. The “games” we get are really just renewable licenses tied to a subscription account, I can’t imagine it would be that much harder to slap onto a couple extra titles once a month. It would make tons of ppl happy and get a lot more exposure for say smaller developers. I have a lot of months where plus puts up games I’ll never even download. Maybe it’s a genre I’m not interested in at all, maybe it’s a game I like a lot but already own. Either way there are a lot of times I’d be thrilled to try an indie game or a ten dollar digital only from a fledgling studio rather than having waited a third month in a row without anything I can use, even if it’s a triple a title. It would also cut the frustration from the crossover with now for those who subscribe to both. Not complaining, just saying it would be pretty nice lol.

  • can’t see the new free games for october. From Australia.

  • Vampyr is decent game and a very worthy addition if not for the fact that’s it’s already on PS Now and NFS Payback is also in the EA Vault. So both are kinda sloppy, lazy choices from Sony this month. I should feel rewarded for subscribing to these services but instead I feel a bit punished
