The PS Now game streaming library is set to expand this year with PS4 games, playable on PS4 and Windows PC with a single subscription.
As many of you know, PlayStation Now lets you stream hundreds of PS3 games — currently 483 to be exact — to your PS4 and Windows PC.
We’re excited to announce that PS Now’s catalog is set to grow even further, as we’ll be expanding to include a new platform: PlayStation 4 games. All of the games in the service, including PS4 games, will be included with a single PS Now subscription. We’ll share more information as we get closer to launch, so stay tuned.
In the next few weeks we’ll kick off a private test with PS4 games on PS Now. If you’re an active PS Now subscriber, keep an eye on your email in case you get an invitation.
If you’re new to PS Now, the subscription service offers access to a large and ever-expanding library of games. Since PS Now utilizes our cloud streaming technology, you can access the entire catalog of games, select one, and start playing quickly without needing to wait for downloads.
Also, PS Now uses cloud saves, letting you start a game on PS4 and continue playing on another PS4 or even a Windows PC (or vice versa).
If you haven’t given the service a try yet, now’s the perfect time to give it a spin with the seven-day free trial.
Here’s a list of some of the most popular games on PlayStation Now during February:
- Red Dead Redemption
- Tekken Tag Tournament 2
- Mortal Kombat
- WWE 2K15
- The Last of Us
- Mafia II
- Injustice: Gods Among Us
- NBA 2K14
- Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution
- Batman Arkham Origins
I’m glad I could play ico and shadow of the colossus with ps now. There are some cool games on there definitely but i’ve played most of the ones I like. Any chance of getting the yakuza series? I’m really enjoying yakuza 0 and i’d love to try out yakuza 3-5. Here’s hoping we see them in the next couple of months :).
People sell your console while it holds some value. Im sharing this news on face and tw. Get pc and when there re few ps games just get psnow , finish them and be done with service. Also mp s free on pc, retail games re cheaper etc. They want short term gain in revenue but long term this s death sentence. Do u really think people ll buy ps5 when it games re on pc ??
Ok let’s look at this logically.
1 – They are very unlikely to put games of note on for a while. Yes there is a chance Knack and Killzone will be among the starting line up it’s going to be a stretch to see anything from the past year or so on ps now. It’ll be a ton of indie titles to start with.
2 – Until any games are confirmed selling your PS4 for the chance exclusives will appear on PSNow day one is a bold move. If you already have PSNow on PC this would be good news for you but betting on a service that frankly hasn’t even filled with the PS3 catalogue is stretching it tbh but it’s your choice.
3 – Exclusive games will exsist for the near future. In 5 or 10 years who knows but unless Sony’s exclusive partners decided to end it they will continue. Possibly as timed exclusives for a year or so but still exclusive. You have to remember that Sony are the ones who choose what’s added to PSNow so if they were to say “no Bloodborne” then it’ll not be added.
4 – Will PS5 games go to PC? Possibly but considering that there hasn’t been a PS5 announcement yet let’s not jump the gun just yet
