PlayStation Now: Stream PS4 Games in 2017

The PS Now game streaming library is set to expand this year with PS4 games, playable on PS4 and Windows PC with a single subscription.

As many of you know, PlayStation Now lets you stream hundreds of PS3 games — currently 483 to be exact — to your PS4 and Windows PC.

We’re excited to announce that PS Now’s catalog is set to grow even further, as we’ll be expanding to include a new platform: PlayStation 4 games. All of the games in the service, including PS4 games, will be included with a single PS Now subscription. We’ll share more information as we get closer to launch, so stay tuned.

In the next few weeks we’ll kick off a private test with PS4 games on PS Now. If you’re an active PS Now subscriber, keep an eye on your email in case you get an invitation.

If you’re new to PS Now, the subscription service offers access to a large and ever-expanding library of games. Since PS Now utilizes our cloud streaming technology, you can access the entire catalog of games, select one, and start playing quickly without needing to wait for downloads.

Also, PS Now uses cloud saves, letting you start a game on PS4 and continue playing on another PS4 or even a Windows PC (or vice versa).

If you haven’t given the service a try yet, now’s the perfect time to give it a spin with the seven-day free trial.

Here’s a list of some of the most popular games on PlayStation Now during February:

  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2
  • Mortal Kombat
  • WWE 2K15
  • The Last of Us
  • Mafia II
  • Injustice: Gods Among Us
  • NBA 2K14
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution
  • Batman Arkham Origins

  • I’m glad I could play ico and shadow of the colossus with ps now. There are some cool games on there definitely but i’ve played most of the ones I like. Any chance of getting the yakuza series? I’m really enjoying yakuza 0 and i’d love to try out yakuza 3-5. Here’s hoping we see them in the next couple of months :).

  • People sell your console while it holds some value. Im sharing this news on face and tw. Get pc and when there re few ps games just get psnow , finish them and be done with service. Also mp s free on pc, retail games re cheaper etc. They want short term gain in revenue but long term this s death sentence. Do u really think people ll buy ps5 when it games re on pc ??

    • Ok let’s look at this logically.

1 – They are very unlikely to put games of note on for a while. Yes there is a chance Knack and Killzone will be among the starting line up it’s going to be a stretch to see anything from the past year or so on ps now. It’ll be a ton of indie titles to start with.

2 – Until any games are confirmed selling your PS4 for the chance exclusives will appear on PSNow day one is a bold move. If you already have PSNow on PC this would be good news for you but betting on a service that frankly hasn’t even filled with the PS3 catalogue is stretching it tbh but it’s your choice.

3 – Exclusive games will exsist for the near future. In 5 or 10 years who knows but unless Sony’s exclusive partners decided to end it they will continue. Possibly as timed exclusives for a year or so but still exclusive. You have to remember that Sony are the ones who choose what’s added to PSNow so if they were to say “no Bloodborne” then it’ll not be added.

4 – Will PS5 games go to PC? Possibly but considering that there hasn’t been a PS5 announcement yet let’s not jump the gun just yet

  • Ok this will mean I can now find a use for my PC….. Nah, just kidding. I wouldn’t play PS4 games on PC, that’s what my PS4 is for.

To everyone having a meltdown there’s no point but if you really need to be mad think of it this way. You already have a PS4 so what exactly are you losing?

PS Now won’t get exclusives like Uncharted 4 or Horizon Zero Dawn for another few years and any they do get will have long been past their “play by” date. You don’t have to subscribe to this service anyway.

If it’s starting in the next month there’s 3 years of back catalogue to first add and that won’t happen overnight. Look how many decent PS3 games are Now vs the rubbish and consider the fact of how long it took these to all be added. Sony’s hand was pushed when M$ decided to start the M$ Pass.

So rather than going into terminal stress mode keep your console until they actually release the names of the PS4 games they are adding and if you’re still mad then sell it and move on.

    • Lmfao I know you love your plastic fanboy , and yes every PS4 game is going to PSNnow stop posting misleading info .Exclusives for consoles are gone !!

The idea is play your games anywhere , better echo system for all gamers who don’t want to buy a PS4 or Pro !!

  • I’m wondering will the games be pulled down at some point in time, Like say “I’m playing a certain game and the next day it’s not there ” will that happen? or am I wrong and the streamed games will forever be left there to be played forever as long as I have a subscription?

  • Dear Sony, Please send me an invite to PS4 games on Playstation Now …. nudge .. nudge .. wink .. wink ….

no lag on my PC, and I’m not going to complain about the price.
haven’t bought a physical copy of a game since PS2, and proud of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This service is kind of lackluster in my opinion. The competition gets to actually own older games, get to play them for free, locally, and not have to pay an insane monthly fee. I still have to futz with my router to try getting the games to work because I gave up the other night. I just wanted to play some Katamari!! So much fuss and money for not much (my opinion). I can speak for myself but buying games is an investment. I buy games left and right just to have in the library. This platform is hardly embracing the customer’s want to build a library that last generations of consoles. Bummer.

  • I feel like the only way to make Playstation Now a competitor to the Xbox streaming thing is if they were allow PS3 purchased titles to be streamable for free through the PS4. Kind of like the XBOX backwards compatibility.

  • well PSNOW be competitive in pricing with Xbox Game Pass? Which is currently 9.99 a month with xbox one and xbox 360 games, service is very similar. so i wonder if they will price drop or not

  • When will play now be available for the
    middle-east

  • Give me Demons Souls on Playstation Now, please. I know it’s available in other countries but I live in the USA and really miss this game. I abandoned the consoles because I had to rebuy both the 360 and ps3 way too many times. I just don’t trust the parts you guys use in your systems anymore. Once again, please bring Demons Souls to Playstation Now.

    Thank you for reading.

    • I actually just had a great conversation with someone in support about my comment. It’s too bad the conversion is too long to paste it on here.

  • Can i get in the beta?
