    Not a bad month, but not a great one either. Odd that Microsoft will be offering 3 out of 4 games by large developers (EA, SquareEnix, and Ubisoft), and all of Sony’s are indies. Regardless, 10 free games, 4 AAA titles I picked up for Black Friday, AND FFXV for the month of December? I’m snug as a bug in a rug.

    I do have an answer to the problem for those that complain about the free games. Get a job, buy an XBox One and a Gold membership, so you have both systems and can get both companies free games. Check deals for both weekly, and buy AAA titles like everyone else instead of feeling entitled to them. When your a productive member of society that contributes to the game economy financially instead of complaining, I think you’ll find yourself more happy than before.

    You get what you pay for and the $120 I spend a year for PS+ and Gold gets me exactly what I expect, indies I would never pay for to begin with (that can be hit or miss), sprinkled with some AAA titles I have missed the past few years.

    This complaining is, as usual, hilarious. Invisible Inc. (PC version) finished 9th on Giant Bomb’s top 10 games of the year last year, but here, since it’s made by an independent developer, it’s treated as trash automatically by posters who think price is equal to quality. IF ONLY SONY WOULD GIVE US A AAA TITLE LIKE KNACK.

    So Hyper Void is the only PS3 game that isn’t Cross-Buy? Bloody bummer, the one game on the list I’m interested in is on the wrong system! I really heard good things about its VR Support…

    I usually defend the ps+ lineup as I enjoy indie games but with it being the month of the big red one I am a little underwhelmed. Not sure on the specifics of how games are chosen every month but i would have saved resident evil for the December list personally. I have been sat with the witness and inside in my cart for the last couple of days hoping one of them might have been included but oh well, I’ve just set them off to download now anyway and will enjoy checking these titles out to.

    I guess the PS+ price increase isn’t going toward a better free line up after all. So sad I’m missing all the xbox live gold freebies :(

    I am not usually one to complain, but come on, guys, what is this? It’s the Holiday month and not a single AAA title? I have no urge to get an XB1, but they are very much killing it with their free games this month compared to this. I have no problem with an indie title a month, to along with something like Knack or Killzone, but this is probably the poorest month in a long time. Very disappointing.

    Also, with Gravity Rush 2 coming out, next month, how could you guys have missed the opportunity to make Gravity Rush Remastered the PS+ game for December? You have a great game that doesn’t sell for a very high price, that has not been exposed to enough people, with a sequel coming out that needs all the sales it can get, and instead, we get these. Get it together, guys.

    Also you’d think all of the holiday money Sony is getting from us would mean better customer support but nope. Sony has always been the worst for customer support. They make some of the best products and show them off well but when it comes to having a good relationship with their customers, they fall flat constantly.

    I really hate to be THAT guy, but…. you know what? No, this is a good lineup. Wasnt that long ago I was voting on stories to be in the ps+ lineup. Might not be AAA titles, but neither was rocket leaugue and I loved that one.

    This comment section shows me exactly why the term ‘sony pony’ exists and why it’s meant as SUCH an insult.

    “Disappointed in this month’s line up? That’s because you’re a petulant, self-entitled little kid and have no concept of JUST HOW LUCKY YOU ARE to be getting ANY GAMES AT ALL!”
    No, of Sony dropped the games, they’d lose custom. Period. Until MS dared drop them too.
    You can say “the games are FREE, you pay for online access!” all you like but we all know that’s a farce. Sony saw MS get away with it and followed suit. The games are to keep us sweet, so there’s less complaining and less players switching to PC.

    Now, I’m not averse to the odd indie-trash time waster but EVERY month? IT’S CHRISTMAS? D*** IT! Just give me a token full game to shut me up. Nothing special; knack would be ideal tbh.
    Hell here’s a fantastic idea: if i don’t like the line up, let me swap one for a game I missed back in 2012 or smth.

    Nice to see Hyper Void on here as I’ve been meaning to try the demo. It’s cross-buy so that means we should also get the PS4 version and the free VR update… sweet!

    Straight garbage. You’d think they would throw something good in there for December of all months. PlayStation is lucky I play fighting games online and am forced to buy Plus, otherwise I would never pay for this trash.

    Dear Sony please could you keep flooding the ps plus games with cheap tripe? Oh wait…. For the love of god please bring out something decent soon. Its beyond painful now. The few couple of years there was hope a decent title would come out. Then the anger they hadn’t followed by despondent despair at the complete lack. Come on something like MKX would pacify us fickle lot. Even if only for a while :)

    Pfffff no wonder the ps3/vita games aren’t in the videos anymore… sheesh… lucky me i got final fantasy xv and a bunch of other offline games… won’t be needing ps plus anymore if all we get is crap no one cares for… do you guys seriously stop playing your main games for these dumb games? (The one of the left looks cool. The only one) Enough is enough.

    For all you guys reaming the commenters who are calling for AAA game offerings, consider that PS Plus was a much better deal during the PS3 generation. We were getting AAA games then as well as occasional indies and weren’t paying for multiplayer access. The value prospect has gotten much worse since the PS4 came out. Sony pushed hard to bring indie developers onboard, but then they seem to sacrifice these indie games as freebies monthly. Meanwhile, Sony has made almost no AAA offerings for the PS4. Offering indies can be a great way to ensure games don’t escape gamers’ attention. You can’t ignore the differences in scope and gameplay, though. These indie titles aren’t why a lot of gamers bought a PS4. Sony set the precedent for offering a mix of AAA games and some indies, in the last console generation. Then Sony raised the price of Plus and ceased offering games that interest a lot of their customers. The disappointment is understandable.

    I got no problem with the Indies,infact for me they give alot more charactor to most of the bland new titles that are out this days.But, It does’nt mean that Sony have to use all of them.This is the main reason why I never buy them.And with that I want to ask Sony,why you can’t throw on us some kind of “Hd Definitive Remaster Collection” sometimes ?They did it on the ps3 so they have now the bigger option.Even thoght I won’t mind the lack of any AAA games in every month,I think I speak volume that Sony does’nt give us enoght or how they should.Reducing the number of Indies to bring more AAA titls will be fine by many.

    Wow so bad again. Not that I care anymore because I no longer subscribe to PS Plus but at this rate I’ll never subscribe again. But some feedback for Sony in case they’re interested, this does hurt you. I now use XBOX One Live entirely for multiplayer games. Why? Because their games with gold and backwards compatibility is leaps and bounds better. There may not be many multi-console owners like me but for those of XBOX is by far the better value. If you want us back improve your PS Plus offerings because it’s garbage now. My PS4 is now an exclusive only machine.

    This month PS Plus is a hit and miss, I actually I’m exited for Stories. On steam this game is huge. However I really was hoping for a horror game even if were not a “AAA” game. Hopefully they start balancing the library a bit better. The fact that you are paying $5 a month shouldn’t stop them from doing so, at the end of the day you are still paying.

    As someone who pays for PS+ uniquely for the monthly-surprise-games (I do not play any multiplayer.) I get exactly what I expect from the service and I’m really happy with the free games and this months line up looks like some fun stuff! we also do get bigger titles like NBA 2k16 (a great free treat) and transformers Devastation but I really do enjoy the smaller titles. I just got my first platinum on Deadly tower of monsters and I really liked that game much more than maybe I should have but I would never , ever have played or bought it if it was not part of the free games.
    anyway I think that all of the “step up your game” posts are a bit odd for a service that costs under 5$ a month.

    Here’s my unsolicited advice: Enjoy what you get. If you are paying for this service because you need to play multiplayer then you have nothing to complain about and if you’re paying just for the free games you can always just stop.

    I already own both of the PS4 games, and am glad they’ll get more exposure. However, looking at all the acrimony this blog gets each month from dissatisfied gamers, I would suggest to the PS+ team to consider broadening the selection of potential PS+ games each month and letting players choose a certain number of those titles. For instance, instead of six games provided to everyone with a PS+ membership, provide a bucket of 10-12 games and let players choose any six that they want. That way, those dissatisfied get more of a choice than they do now, and those who purchase the games/support the developers early have an opportunity to get extra value from their PS+ memberships. Employing this method could also benefit you in establishing players’ preferences/buying patterns, which could then be used to provide more targeted suggestions/advertising for upcoming games. Or, create a lower tier that only covers online multiplayer and doesn’t include the monthly PS+ games/discounts ($40 annual).

    Long story short, offering greater choice could be beneficial to making sure your community and services stay as positive as possible, and hopefully limits the churn of players leaving your services for rival options. Thanks!

    True be told… we did get some good titles in the last months.. NBA16something, Gauntlet, Magicka2, Tropico 5, RE HD, Transformers… ok, not the best out there, but still.

    But I understand the amount of indies is overwhelming… specially in December and after the price for plus went up, is nothing but normal to hear some complains…
    I didn’t hear much from Invisible inc since is not my type of game, and Stories I kept following until the bad reviews it got…

    For what I’ve seen the PS+ service used to give bigger titles, I’m in for the support for indies… but this year has been too much

    Ok… I’d be totally fine with this if it were another month, but this is the last month of the year. You even mention “ringing in the holidays” and I’m sorry but this is a terrible collection to “ring the holidays” in with. I don’t hate these games by any means, but after a price increase… to give all short indie games FOR THE HOLIDAYS is a major bummer. Isn’t there like at least one big-name game that could be tacked onto here? I know no matter what people would complain and you can’t appease everyone, but at least one bigger game on this one would be awesome. I mean we got Resident Evil HD for October, and then November was… relatively bare in terms of exciting content. I think adding one more title to this month that is at least on-par with Resident Evil HD would make this month really nice.

    Getting really tired of these weak titles month after month after the price increase. Now that I got an Xbox One I think I’m going to switch all my online gaming to that and only buy PS4 exclusives. At least with their Gold membership they give out decent games every month. Im all for promoting indie games but for goodness sake we are deep enough into this console life where we can get decent AAA titles. Or at least start making games backwards compatible for christ sake. I keep holding out that PS will come through one of these months but this might be the straw that broke the camels back. I might let my PS Plus lapse now.

    Not a terrible line up. I already played both ps4 games unfortunately but I’m happy more people get to try Stories. Stories is definitely a game worth checking out if you haven’t already. Invisible inc wasn’t my cup o’ tea but a decent game nonetheless.

    Wow alot of negativity.. I agree with both sides..but long story short i believe they should continue indie developers..worst case scenario, a couple of people moan about it. Best case, the game gets massive exposure for both Sony and indie developer.

    BUT, And this is a big but, GIVE US BETTER PS STORE SALES! Honestly the indie thing is fantastic because Sony might secure exclusives for the future. But please, give us better sales on the store. I cant remember the last time my eyes almost popped out from disbelief from seing a good sale, or on a game that might be massively reduced on Steam or Live.. Surely all the financially success from the PS4 must go somewhere and im sure they are putting it to good use.

    But im pretty sure with these bigger discount sales on the PS Store you might just see a bigger influx of store purchases.
