PS Plus fans, we’re pleased to share with you two excellent PS4 PS Plus games for June.

First up, to help get everyone hyped for the NBA Finals, we’ve teamed up with 2K to add NBA 2K16 to the June lineup. One of the most critically acclaimed sports titles ever, NBA 2K16 has tons of great gameplay for everyone. With robust offline modes like MyCareer and MyGM, and deep online modes including MyTeam and MyLeague, there is an incredible amount of content to offer all types of gamers. So be the baller you always wanted to be and guide your team to the NBA Championship.

Next up is Gone Home: Console Edition. Gone Home is one of the most talked about titles from the last few years for good reason. While it’s an interesting exploration/adventure game, it’s the narrative of Gone Home that’s so remarkable. The game has a strong development team, including Steve Gaynor, who worked on a few titles in the BioShock series. The Fulbright Company (now just Fullbright) created an intimate and unique story that is well worth your time.

    This month completes 1 year since I let my subscription go. There wasn’t a single interesting game on plus since, so I missed nothing since I have no multiplayer games on ps4. Sony made sure to make me buy Project Cars on PC when they made Driving Force GT, the gran turismo official wheel incompatible with ps4 so that game could have made me keep the subscription.

    Well, I don’t subscribe to PlayStation Plus for the “free” games anymore. There may have been a time when that was true, but now the discounts and subscriber sales are what I look forward to most. Though it will be nice to play Gone Home again.

    This is the absolute worst Month for PS+ Users of all time. Myself and many others have been extremely unhappy with these ‘free’ PS+ lineups since Q3 of last year, and I’ll bet we will continue to . Did people really vote for Gone Home as our free indie title? Who decides these things? I will not add be adding this game (or the basketball one) to my library. This is the first time I’ve felt the need to actually hop onto the PSNBlog and post anything and It’s such a shame it has to be under these circumstances. Sony you guys used to be the king, I used to buy 2+ games a month for me and my friends. Now I’m having an internal struggle debating if I should try to stick it out till next generation and potentially abandon you, or abandon you now. Learn your audience Sony, the numbers of your PS+ Downloads + Over all playtime do not lie you are giving us the shaft.

      You put “free” in quotes like the games are not actually free. When you pay for PS+, you’re paying for the privilege to use Sony’s network to game online. XBox Live Gold is the same thing. To make the service more appealing, both companies started offering monthly free games as a supplement to that subscription, but neither Sony nor Microsoft are under any obligation to give you a damned thing aside from access to their network.

      Sit down and shut up, you entitled, ungrateful embarrassment.

      Yeah, come on Playstation! How DARE they offer a free game to OTHER USERS that YOU ALREADY HAVE?!

      God you entitled clowns are embarrassing. Don’t want the freebies/don’t like that you already spent money on a freebie? Cancel your subscription and stop getting freebies.

      Otherwise, have some class and be grateful for the supplementary stuff you’re given that neither Sony nor Microsoft are under any obligation to give you. Or don’t.

    Ok I must say that most of the games being for free for PP Members were not the greatest, but NBA2k16 that is (would be) amazing. I was a PP Member, but I did not extend my membership, because I did not the the value of it. Now I am actually thinking about becoming a PP member again. BUT: I checked the PlaystationStore site and there is NO NBA2K16 available for Plus Members. Instead there is a game called “Table Top Racing: World Tour“!!!!!! Ok Sony please enlighten us WTF is going on?

    Does NBA2K16 come with a good tutorial? Like if you don’t even understand the rules of basketball, let alone how to play a basketball video game, does it teach you step by step? If not, it SHOULD! There is a huge market out there for video games that really teach you how to play and all the rules of team sports games, like football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, etc.

    Unfortunately most of the sports games just assume you know everything and throw you to the wolves, when in fact, team sports games are a LOT harder and more complicated to figure out than even the most complex RPG. The only “game” based sport I fully understand the rules of is tennis.

    Oh yay, the games are sooooooo great (being sarcastic). But seriously what is this bull?!? I don’t want any of those games. I hate 90% of all basketball games and the others games on the list don’t appear appealing to me. The ONLY one on that list that I like is “Gone Home” but I already own it. June is a very big disappointment for me. -_-

    I don’t play sports games (with the exception of some more arcade like racers). Though, I must say for 2K16 to be in here that’s a major improvements from the usual pretty decent free games of the month. Good month ahead for those interested.
    With that aside the indie games don’t look to bad. I’ll likely just play God of War though. My Vita needs some more loving.

    BOO! PlayStation, seriously you need to get in touch with what your customers want.
    I’ll give you a hint, FUN single player games with awesome stories, or FUN multiplayer games. How about AAA games from 6 months ago or older, like The Witness, GTA 5, The Last of Us, Ratchet and Clank… You know the games people want to play and would buy if they had the spare $$

    I’m looking forward to Gone Home but not NBA. what an egh lineup… sport games are cancer. why not give killzone shadowfall or watch dogs free c’mon!! we pay 60 a year just to play online which is horrid regardless of price. I’ve been a console fanboy all my life and PC doesn’t even charge to play online. C’mon Sony step up

    Man, I need to not read the comments here. This is a FANTASTIC month. NBA2k is one of the best franchises around, and if you don’t like sports, Gone Home is an amazing story based game. I can’t wait – I was thinking of buying both of these!

    I honestly never thought that 2K16 would be coming. I had 2K15 before, and really, PlayStation might not be doing their absolute best, they certainly are trying. Thanks PlayStation for NBA 2K16!

    Even if you like sports, you may not give a hoot about NBA. I can’t stand basketball. Maybe if we were gearing up for the Stanley Cup finals, I’d care, but the NHL games have been disastrous after 2011.

    Gone Home looks great. I deliberately avoid buying (release price) ~$15–20 games because they so often end up becoming free games on PS Plus. Another win for me (like Grim Fandango).

    OK the only crap title for the line up is NBA 2k16. All I have to say is what the ****?! Gone home and siren:blood curse in other words, really interesting. Might try echochrome as well. Little deviants is a death wish for those who likes to get all trophies. To this day I still missing one and due to some weird **** I can do it since the studio is gone or not doing anything.

    I like what vita is giving up this go around, I already have 2k16, but I’ve heard good things about gone home. but for someone that see’s this line up and hates sports i can see how this would look like a bad line up.

    Gone Home is something I’ve been excited to play for a while and I was actually considering buying it this summer. Also I”m not a fan of sports games but I appreciate the inclusion of 2k16 anyways because it’s such a big title. Either way Ive been fine with all the lineups so far tbh and idk what you guys are expecting with a meager $60 a year. these games are usually around $20 each and the fact that we’re getting 24 games a year for $60 is a bargain I think.

    Good to see that Sony is finally getting their act together. Tropico last month and an even better offerings for PS4 this month. You couldn’t ask for a better AAA title than NBA 2K16 especially for a sports fan. Even though Gone Home is an indie title, it’s not just any indie title – it’s one of the best and critics favorite.

    Bemused by some of the negative comments. Wondering how much Moneysoft is paying them..

    Listen if you don’t like the line up, wait it out for next month, see if something of your tasting comes your way. Sheeesh, it seems to me ever since we had XBL live members flood over to PSN we have been getting negative comments/remarks about anything PSN in general. I believe this is a GREAT line up never played a sports game wouldn’t mind checking this out for being a PSN member thanks @PSN

    Well, I’ll state my opinion simply. I don’t like the lineup this month. I don’t like sports games, and I don’t like walking simulators, but I see the whole “High-end”/Indie pairing as pretty agreeable. I know it would be crazy to give out a AAA constantly, so why not choose games to compliment new releases? Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is coming out soon, why not include the original? Uncharted 4 is super successful, so why not release the trilogy so that people can experience the franchise as a whole without needing to guess for the plot of the new game. That’s just my opinion, and I know the Sony Staff can’t please everyone.

    NBA2K16 for PS4 doesn’t have the Association Mode which I like while the PS3 version does have the Association mode. Too bad both versions aren’t offered for free. I own both versions for PS3 and PS4.

    I don’t know anything about “Gone Home” but it looks like I might like it.

    They’re free so I’m not complaining.
