PlayStation Plus: Free Games for June 2016

PS Plus fans, we’re pleased to share with you two excellent PS4 PS Plus games for June.

First up, to help get everyone hyped for the NBA Finals, we’ve teamed up with 2K to add NBA 2K16 to the June lineup. One of the most critically acclaimed sports titles ever, NBA 2K16 has tons of great gameplay for everyone. With robust offline modes like MyCareer and MyGM, and deep online modes including MyTeam and MyLeague, there is an incredible amount of content to offer all types of gamers. So be the baller you always wanted to be and guide your team to the NBA Championship.

Next up is Gone Home: Console Edition. Gone Home is one of the most talked about titles from the last few years for good reason. While it’s an interesting exploration/adventure game, it’s the narrative of Gone Home that’s so remarkable. The game has a strong development team, including Steve Gaynor, who worked on a few titles in the BioShock series. The Fulbright Company (now just Fullbright) created an intimate and unique story that is well worth your time.

Just want to point out that Xbox One users are getting “The Crew” and “Goat Simulator” whereas we are getting **** no one wants. Less that 20% of users enjoy sports games and most of them already have nba2k16 and no one really cares to much about “Walk around a house simulator 2k16”. I’m glad to see Sony is giving out some popular titles but could you at least give us popular titles of games people actually want to play. These **** line ups are getting really irritating. I’m not paying $50 a year just to play games with my friends that I could do for free on pc or PS3.

In case anyone from my timezone here in mountain time is reading this. If your store is messed up too and you can’t see NBA 2k16 for free, just search for the game itself and you can add it to the library.

:O Super excited about 2k16 being free, honestly didn’t expect such a great game like this to be free. Was thinking about buying it too. Don’t know much about Gone Home, watched some gameplay of it and looks interesting :) I’ll be downloading it as well. It’s free so why not.

Does anyone know how to download 2K16 if you already own a physical disc copy?? I want to get the PSplus freebie and trade my hard copy but I can’t download it… It just wants to launch from the disc, even when I take it out…! Don’t really want to delete any of my progress on the game, had it since it came out so I’m not going through all the Spike Lee crap again!

some good looking PS4 games this month, just bought my self a vita so 2 free games on that is a nice bonus, i’m just kicking my self for not downloading previous months and stock piling them

I haven’t play a single sports game in years, since i had my Sega Genesis but i remember that i’ve spent countless hours as a child playing nba games so i think this month is pretty solid

NBA with career mode seems pretty interesting and if you want to relax you can enjoy the narrative of Gone Home, looks like a good combination of games to me, and ps3 has horror games? count me in

So i just now noticed this on ps4 and while you guys are bashing i think its a good lineup. Here me out ok so NBA is still a 59.99 game wich is a steal to get it legally for free. Personally im more into games like cod and Gta not sports really but im willing to try it. Ive heard good things about it true there could be a more interesting lineup but how often does sports game fans get their favorite game for free its never sports games. last month Tabletop racing and tropico 5, april dead star and Zombi, march Galak z and bro force. My point is that its usually a cruddy indie game but this has some quality i dont know much about gone home but from the pics it hase good graphics and is different from most ps plus games

  Your game is still downloading. That feature is only there so you can kill time once it’s fully downloaded you’ll be able to play the full game.

Hey, does anyone know if the NBA 2K is suppose to be the full version? Mine will only let me pick 2 teams… i guess it was too good to be true.

Awesome line up this month . I’m Really excited to try out gone home but even more excited about 2k16 being free. Even if your not a sports fan you gotta admit it was pretty awesome of Sony to let us have 2k16 for free.

I have both the Xbox one and the ps4 (obviously) and I gotta agree Xbox has better games this month mostly because I already have nba 2k16 haha so not much of a big deal to me I’m about to play that GOW on my ps vita though so I’m still happy

NBA 2k16 QUESTION!!!

My system is currently “copying” the game… At 75% right now… Once that finishes, will I be able to play online vs another opponent? Or play with any historic teams? Right now when I play, the only option I have is “quick start w modern teams only. I can’t even adjust quarter length or anything…. I know the disc version gives you all the features I’m asking for but I’m not sure what to expect after the game is 100% downloaded…. Any feedback is helpful… Thanks !!!

  Like most games that you downloaded ( which I’m pretty sure you’re done with, you’re just installing it) You can play exhibition game while installing. Once everything is done, you can do anything you could with the regular game(Online,Story, and quick matches).

im trying to download nba 2k16 but when i start the download appear the 40gb of the game and then it changes to 7 gb and i dont know why is happening that? i have ps plus

  Close the NBA2k16 app and then left the game without opening the game. Press, options then look at info… You should see all the info

Gone home is a huge waste of time. I was expecting puzzles at least. You get to the end in about maybe 30-60 minutes if you rush and then you realize you will never get that time back. Impressed with NBA game. But really Sony shouldn’t have even given us Gone Home. Free or not don’t even bother downloading it

Back in August I decided not to continue with my PlayStation plus account. The games offered were not at all interesting, or games that were already purchased due to a flash sale, in which made no sense to be the next free games. I recently added myself back to the network just to find the last 3 months of games to be a disappointment. Just saw the lineup for this month… Definitely not renewing… Always had a thing against Xbox… But at this point im thinking that they can’t do any worse… Hard to describe my disappointment…..

I take it back.NBA a horrible game also. I was kinda looking forward to the story mode but after playing it realized how little effort was put into it. Hopefully July will be better because June was a total waste :(

I played both gone home and 2k for the first time today, so far so good. Not big into nba2k story mode, but who plays sports games for gripping story lol! let’s see here 50 bucks a year for online play and 24 free games, I would say not a bad deal. Sure not every ps plus game is to my taste but I am not an entitled brat who thinks that if the games arent exactly what I want then they are trash. I bought ps plus to play online, free games are just a bonus for me.

You guys should be happy about this lineup, NBA 2k16 is an actual triple A game. Not some indie pixel game. Along with Gone Home which I heard has a great story

Yet again another dreadful lineup. Out of all of the good games on the PS Store, Sony are choosing the weakest ones there. I got my PS4 in July of last year, there has not been a single good lineup from then to now. The terrible “incentives” for having a PS plus membership is one of the many reasons I’m switching to PC. I’m done with Sony.

I really cant believe there are this many people complaining… all everyone did was complain about the games that were being given out “For Free” and then they give us NBA 2k16, a AAA game that is current and you all still complain? I just dont get it

ok here is my take on all this.

the vita is a dead system but yet sony continues to give vita games. they could say **** off why bother but they care about there customers.

people complaining about canceling ps+. go ahead cancel. i hear xbox needs to sell a ton of consoles to catch up to sony.

i for one am not a huge basketball fan. every month i try all the games they give us. yes some are god awful. some are great. in the end they are free. not techically free because you pay for ps+.

why complain? sony is killing microcrap. they dont have to settle for giving AAA games every month. xbox gets AAA games every month and still can’t over take sony. what does that tell ya?

i will leave this in closing. i thought i was on the sony board guess i must have taken a wrong turn and sended up on the kotex board.

I find this lineup ok, I tried NBA2K16 and hated it (Too many reasons to list). Which is a shame since I liked NBA games when I was younger. And I already own Gone Home cause I bought it in May. Wish the lineup was better cause PS4 is beating the Xbone in everything, except for its free games. :(

I wanna get PS Plus but so far nothing is worth it. Xbox Gold has cool games. I would love to get a great indie game like Rocket League! C’Mon Sony! Gone Home is acclaimed but it’s not for everyone.

i am sorry to say that i absolutely hate this lineup for ps4 games. i did not like 2k16 but i just dislike 2k basketball games. And gone home was really boring. it had an interesting story great sound but i agree with people that it resembles a walking simulator that is boring. at least in games like walking dead there is a sense of choice, Gone home was just annoyingly boring. Please just bring some fun games. i don’t care if its small, as long as its fun i’m good.
